IT'S HARD WATCHING THIS DOCUMENTARY WITHOUT TEARING UP BECAUSE IT GIVES ME A VISUAL OF THE STRUGGLES OF MY OWN FAMILY. Laos is the most bombed country in the whole world..US dropped over 7 millions ton of bombs in Laos...many.cluster still laying on the rice patties. it has.injured,Mamed, and killed many of the farmers..I think US. should do something about this..Laos is the poorest country in the SE Asia. I can go on and go..sad very sad.

it's really crazy but my mom really knew him. she went to the refugee camp with him in thailand and showed me the picture. it's crazy how small this world is!

I guess we all can relate to your story, My family went through the same struggle in the 90 and I guess we all can look back how much the struggle we all had been through. Its kinda crazy cause we had a choice to be in Austrilia, france or USA, but thing happen for a reason and that reason im still seaching. Anyway don't wanna sound pity but I just wanna thank from the bottom of my heart for making this wonderful film and Budha bless you all. Peace and love to all the laos pp and family.

We had a similar experience growing up in the 80s in Cali. It was a rough time for us but we struggled and made it. I will never forget what we had to live through and never forget where I came. Brilliant documentary.

FINALLY, a documentary about what we Lao as well as all other ethnic groups from indochina went through from Asia to America. i love this film and recomend it to anyone who doesn't know of our history and reason why we Lao, Khmer, Viet, Hmong, Mien, etc are doing here in America. Oh yea, and to anyone else who wants to REALLY understand what war does to a people. watch this film. kop jai, lai lai, Ai Thavi. sern pbai dee.

I've seen the whole story of this documentary on PBS. It's an amazing piece of work. That's a lot of effort with 23 years in the making.
