I've never heard of this book before or seen any of Don Coscarelli's movies before but i somehow stumbled across this movie on imdb. The title of this movie "John Dies at the End" i think is one of the best titles in movie history. Now that i've seen the trailer and know a little about it it doesn't look very good but ill see it when it comes out for the title alone. plus the girl in it is cute.

I stumbled across the book, recognized David Wong's name from Cracked.com, which is the single greatest time killer on the Internet or ..ever, and have been shoving the book at everyone I know since. I know i probably shouldn't have watched this before I finished the book (almost there though) but didn't John have like, long hair? I figured a movie adaptation wouldn't be anything like the images you get from that book, but from what I could make of it, it seemed they took the "Thing" approach on the monsters, rather than bad CGI, and that, I can dig.
