  • do you have the closing credits for this episode?

  • It's gonna be a bit dull without David, isin't it?

  • I can't wait for you to post the opening of episode 2620.

  • Your right classicssmfan. I really do like him.

  • "...and there are even more cows and horses than there are on Sesame Street!"

    Okay, that's hilarious. xD

You know what jumped out at me about this clip? Check out Gordon's copy of the New York Times---nowadays all their front page photos are in color.

  • That would be neat to see them bring back David played by another actor. I would love to see them bring him back. They did it with Gordon character. He had three actors that playd his part till the third one who is still playing him now. Bring back David! Bring back David!

  • You're right. But there's Chris (Gordon and Susan's nephew on the show), and a lot people like me consider him as the "new" David.

  • @Grover1234 I think they replaced David. Since now Chris Knowings is on Sesame Street, I'd consider him the new David.

  • @grapebuy789

I have to agree there. It seems like Alan is the Mr. Hooper of today and Chris is today's David.

  • @Daffyfan2006 Exactly!

  • Would this happen to be the 1st street scene to 2680, the debut of Mr. Handford?

  • Yes it is.

  • Aha! Then my memory WASN'T wrong. I'd remembered seeing this for ages (I was 7 when this aired), but then saw the YouTube upload of the rest of this episode where Gina tells what happened to David, so I had to assume that my memory had played tricks on me that it was Gordon who said it.

Actually, my memory had mixed up the two scenes, so that in my mind Gordon had been at Hooper's store when he said it.

  • It was Episode 2620.

  • i miss David, to but this from what episode, i have the other one were elmo got a letter from this person named Jamie lee, and thats from 2556, and i hope to post that one soon, but thanks for this clip.

  • i guess when hooper died they couldnt bring to explain another death

  • @DRUMMERMAN77

Yeah...and the subject of Will Lee/Mr. Hooper's passing was quite a debate. So instead of saying David died too, I guess it was more mellow to say he moved. I was surprised that though; at least the writers thought of a way to acknowldge where he was without upsetting little kids.

  • I honestly think they should bring David back (of course, played by another actor). Since they didn't mention his death, this is plausible.

  • David left Sesame Street before Northern Calloway died. He went to live with his grandmother.

  • Exactly, which is why bringing the character back, only played by another actor, could happen.
