  • Meh

  • They totally missed all the homeless and prostitues in downtown.

  • @raymanlegy no you're wrong, Toronto, Vancover and New York are the homeless capitals of the world. And in terms of the prostitute capital of the world...that would be Amsterdam

  • Wow Calgary is the size of my hometown Jacksonvile FL. Well This city maybe a little bigger than Jacksonville.

  • metro2033fan your so fucking ignorant....read a fuckin book you faggot!!! Your seriously fuckin retarded, you make americans look like shit. Go kill yourself yourself fuckin piece of shit

  • Better than any of the French speaking parts of Canada. Was voted one of the cleanest, healthiest Cities in the World.

  • way to go calgary i love it even though i live in toronto

  • Wow this video is so amazing, to bad not hd tho

  • Downtown Calgary shuts down on friday 5pm...its off to the suburbs. Downtown is dead. Electric ave full of kids. Restos are corporate and nestled nicely in mini malls. Looks good on a postcard with the rockies in the background but up close it's pretty banal. Sorry...I lived in Banff and Canmore and a trip to Calgary was always as quick as possible...traffic was horrendous. Alberta is a beautiful province though.

  • @thequest49 nigger shut your mouth stay away then pussy bitch

  • damn, miss this city!

  • has an amazing skyline for a city its size

  • @jayblaze12 that's Winnipeg =]

  • Ah yes... the armpit of canada =]

  • Calgarians don't even know how much of a lousy hockey team the Flames are! And the Red Mile is a joke where most businesses go to die because the rent is too high! Rent is too high in general in this redneck town! And this is coming from someone who was born in Calgary! Yuck! The only reason I'm staying here is because of low unemployment compared to the rest of the country! As for run-down buildings, look at the EPCOR Centre, BOW Valley College, or tons of buildings at the UofC!!!

  • @luckyshiningstar101 The Downtown East Village is still shabby, and the Calgary Tower still looks awful on the outside! Even the interior of the Suncor Energy Center reminds me of bad 70s decor! Olympic Plaza needs a revamp pronto and the roads still have potholes in them, especially Macleod Trail! Wanna look at a rundown mall? Go to The Core Shopping Center! Yuck!

  • MILLLLLLLZ

  • Awesome video

  • it's better. :-) weather changes a lot though. like rain to snow to sunshine to rain in a matter on 2hrs.

  • I am currently living in Toronto but thinking about moving to Calgary. I have one question. Is Calgary a stressful city like Toronto or better?

  • @afghans4eva better

  • @afghans4eva if you mean traffic wise then calgary is much better except for lots construction

  • @afghans4eva if your talking about population with rush hour and crime rate and all that its less. the mountains and wildlife is really nice and peaceful

  • @BBALLERT220 i'm referring to paycheque to paycheque lifestyle which is lived in Toronto

  • I'm an American apologizing for metro; he sounds like an American. Most of us can't spell for shit...don't feed the trolls...

  • It's getting much to trendy here now and a lot of it's so conservitive.

  • what a peace of shit, fuck you Canada!

  • @metro2033fan fuck u bitch canada is the best fucking country in the world

  • @metro2033fan its a pice fo shit and you know it, you stole our style cowboy hats and boots faggot go cut down some fucking logs you lumber jack sons of bitches

  • This year's summer was awesome! 32°C one day. Sept. 30°C! Calgary is boring, I was born and raised here. Next year, this month I'm going to UCLA

  • @ciosrataecz You want hot weather? count yourself lucky, between 20-25 is the best weather.

  • Let's get real! Who actually enjoys living in ALberta? Windy as hell all the time, terrible winters and has the worst drivers in Canada.......

  • been in Calgary winter '08! had a nice pack of snow! go there next time again! greetz from The Netherlands

  • @faizaisabitch Don't forget the lack of night life and fakeness of people.

  • @suiram4u you're confusing Calgary with Ottawa

  • Already Downtown Skyline different. Always changing Calgary.

"It will be nice when its done" ...but never is.

  • Its amazing to see how much this city has changed since when ever this video was filmed.

  • @faizaisabitch while I do agree that the roads are poorly designed and that the winters are cold everything else you said is bullshit. Everybody litters? then why was it named the cleanest city in the world? Not to mention the 5th best city to live in. Housing is cheaper to that of vancouver and Toronto. I would also like to see these run down buildings seeing as most the run down buildings have been torn down for new developments or have been planned to be torn down....

  • Great vid of the city!

  • Did i see Jakie Chan and Owen Wilson at 0:28

  • @closetgem Yes you did. I guess that they filmed Shanghai Noon in Calgary.

  • What made you decide to do this Video, you must love the City and Live here....I just happened to come by this page today and watched what you had taped....Great Job and it's amazing how much it has grown since 2009!! Born & Raised here for almost 40 years and WOW is all I can say...I love living here!!

  • I used to be one of the native Calgarians that bitched about how boring it was here but I have learned to appreciate my home town! I feel as though it has modernized a ton in the last while and it also feels a lot more vibrant these days. Local music events are hopping, the festivals all year round and just roaming inner city areas like Mission and 17th Ave is awesome!!

  • I like this, but when it's 50 years old it will be just as funny as that 1962 video. ;)

  • I like the + 15. What an outcome.

  • Most boring city in the world. I can't wait to find another place to move to.

  • beautiful city ...........greetings from Colombia

  • @xNonsenseWorldX Both, as long as you do not choose Edmonton :))

  • @LondonUnderground186 what's wrong with Edmonton?? I've been there and it's cool and I am currently living in Montréal and I'm moving to Edmonton very soon! gimme arguments but please dont say bullshit... thanks :)

  • Moving to Calgary next month! If anyone has any tips for me as to where to go and what to do when I move there, let me know!

  • @MrZanderJaymz Go to Sportchek and buy a really warm coat for the really really cold winters

  • @cromerbeach Good tip! Haha

  • @MrZanderJaymz where are you moving from and where in Calgary are you giong to live??

  • @sasprawler I'm moving from Cape Breton, NS and moving to the downtown area

  • @MrZanderJaymz oh ok, i live way down in the south of calgary but i recommend going to the stampede this summer, i wouldn't recommend going the the chuck-wagon races or rodeo, they're kinda over-rated, but try the carnival part of it and the evening fireworks show

  • @sasprawler The Chucks and Rodeo are awesome!!

  • @ashee0921 it's just my opinion

  • They should have choose Calgary as the Alberta's Capital instead of fucking Deadmonton

  • @LondonUnderground186 deadmonton, with the 5th largest shopping mall in the world.

  • Born, Raised, and Proud! Calgary Rocks!

  • @nikalik I agree! I live in Edmonton and it f***ing sucks! I stay because of my job, otherwise I would have left :)

  • @nikalik except for our drivers who just can't seem to grasp the concept about rules of the roads lol

  • @quickdrawboi .... 29 degrees C on CHRISTMAS DAY ?!?!? In canada ? wtf ?!?!

That's like over 90 degrees F. I'd like to see the PROOF on that !!

  • @donpazer yeah dude. I remember that. Canada isn't just snow. it gets pretty fucking hot here. and Calgary has the Chinook wind which can bring random heat waves in the winter. its bananas.

  • The Wireless Media Stick was invented in calgary too..

  • Fuck alberta, the car insurance is to high you have to pay 300 dollar a month for a normal car, plus they got no jobs here annymore, boomtime is over you fucking albertians

  • @sask523

I pay maybe 150 a month for car car insurance? I guess not being a complete retard factors into car insurance rates.

  • @OrgasmicOprah

so that means this fucking alberta gouvermant is panishing you cause you had an acsident, wich almost everbody has here in the winter time cause its fucking slippery, thats why you see almost every car damgade.

  • @sask523 Go suck a cock and die, or both.

  • @sask523 Go punch yourself please.

  • @UltraEpicLoser i see no real arguments here

  • @sask523 it's the richest province in Canada with the lowest unemployment rate. You can shut up good sir.

  • @sask523 you are a fucking ignorant prick who needs to inform himself about the TRUE reason people come to Canada.

  • @sask523 fuck you, you inbred prick.

  • text this # if you want someone in calgary to kick your ass 403 614 0101

  • Anyone here been to Tubby dogs in downtown?! best hotdogs youll find in North America !

  • Cowtown is awesome! Need to add more outdoor shots like hiking, camping, rock and ice climbing, and whitewater kayaking :)

  • BEST CITY IN THE WORLD!

  • they have everything!, shitty uk has nothing

  • Calgary OK.

  • Toronto Ontario Looks Better ! T-DOT ALLDAY EVERY DAY !

  • doe's it SNOW ther??????... he....he...

  • I lived in Calgary for more than 14 years, and I really enjoy the chinook and the beauty of the new architecture of Calgary. I am a welder and know what I am talking about. It is a beautiful city, though a little expensive.

  • what song is playing in the first minute and a half?

  • I find this city is extremely racist... everyone with everyone... notice that 95% of the fast food workers are either southwest asian or south american? ever notice that most minorities live in the NE with certain areas in the NW and SE with diverse communites and the SW is ALL WHITE... but the cause of racism is the fascism brought by money which makes people feel there better then others... its a fucked place but i love it :D

  • hey i born there i hope i can go there again =(

  • Can you tell me the name of the song in the video pls?

  • ive been to calgary about 7 times (family). Im not gonna lie, its pretty boring. No sophisticated culture, no decent education, its just like they rolled out a suburban carpet and called it a city.

  • @brownie7317 it's true even Calgary news investigated it and showed that most bars dont let in minorities like blacks. Calgary is the redneckville of canada

  • @phantomsuccour I'm white and Calgarian and I have def seen the investigation they did and can say its true. It's funny how if you go to bars like hudsons or Amsterdam Rhino which are almost ALL white people there's no fights or sketchy characters whereas bars like OPUS and the warehouse are overrun with gang members.

  • @baldingtaco because all blacks are gangmembers, that's what you assume. Well, that's the point Calgary hates minorities.

  • @phantomsuccour you also assume that we all hate minorities. shut the fuck up. every been to calgary? i've lived in calgary 15 years and only witnessed true racial profiling about 6-7 times. dont talk shit about a obviously great city

  • @superdupersamuel Proof, if you have seen it those number of times and you are white the blacks have seen it a hundred times more because remember racial profiling is many times done discretly. Canadian Television showed how every bar in Calgary refused blacks in, giving them excuses like dresscode or capacity while letting in whites that had the same clothes come in after them. That proves that Calgary is like the Mississippi of Canada.

  • @phantomsuccour It's not every Bar you fucking retard. Maybe if black people didn't act so stereotypical all the time around their peers, it wouldn't ruin it for the ones who aren't trying to look hard! And by the war, Calgary HAS A MUSLIM MAYOR AND A BLACK MLA MEMBER in the NW U DUMB FUCK. How many other cities that hate minorities do that. Where is your intelligent argument going to go from here?! Nowhere! Game! Set! Match! If there's any discrimination it's based past occurrences at bars.

  • @baldingtaco Agreed, dumbfucks im from Chestermere and i even know this shit.

  • @phantomsuccour us minoritys hate u too bitch come to NE we run tht shit

  • NIce Video but Calgary is boring as hell !!!!

  • I was born there but moved to the states a year later. I still think I'm canadian :)

  • Alberta has teh most racists in Canada, I saw a pice about it on CBC, they don't let non-whites into bars.

  • @phantomsuccour that's bullshit

  • I'm from Winnipeg and might be visiting Calgary in the summer. yay

  • @Geordonk I like your reply exept for "your fuckin retarded" I personally know that the people tend to be mean unless they live In Calgary or have lived in Calgary they tend to be quite rud to me. But I think that may just because we are better than the oilers

  • I live in the UK and im visiting Calgary in june,i cannot wait,it looks beautiful

  • @Rickyboy555

how did you like my home?

  • @Rickyboy555 Sooo...how was it ??? ;)

  • Calgary is ok but Edmonton is better

  • @sensationaldenny Edmonton is a city where everyone is ignorant, the city is ugly and you guys think the oliers are awesome but they are not. i think edmonton is OK but Calgary is WAY better

  • @randompaperclips Your fuckin retarded. I'm from Calgary, but i know alot of nice people from Edmonton. Theres nice and ignorant people everywhere, doesn't matter what city their in

  • is it true that the majority of women in calgary are whores? they all look like playmates or something.

  • does anyone know if vancouver is better than calgary?

  • @mcglynn67 yes..

  • @mcglynn67 im from vancouver now living in calgary....vancouver is MUCH better

  • @SwedishBerryCake I'm from Vancouver but I now live in Edmonton. I kind of like it here but most people think I'm crazy haha. I think the positives are I have a good job and its easy to get around with lots of roads and is smaller so not as busy. It is also more affordable especially if buying a house. Downside is winter but even then I don't think its that bad. I really don't miss Van at all and I don't think id ever go back. Maybe to other parts of B.C. but not Vancouver.

  • @Prairielander i guess the only way a person can really say if a city is better than another or not is based on what they are looking for. if you're looking for beautiful sceneary (mountains, ocean, forrest) as well as milder climate vancouver would be the best bet. You don't need to a car if you live in Vancouver because Transit is effcient with the Skytrain and what not. As well multiculturalism and cheap food! Not to mention better night life

  • Ive been living in Calgary for 10 years and I think that this video seems much much better than reality ..

  • @roni761 Haha, what did you expect....

  • oh, freezing weather, winter 3/4 of the year, i forgot why i came back to B.C. hehhe, i do miss Calgary though.

  • @grummbunger I don't know what Calgary you are talking about, but I have been living in Calgary for 15 years. Originally was born in Ontario.

Weather is very good for most of the year from April till October with lots of sun and decent temperatures. Freezing temperatures you are talking about is only from November till March, even the snow amount is little compared to eastern US/Can. Warm chinook winds warm temperatures up all the time.

Calgary is the fastest growing economy in Canada.

  • I miss you CANADA

  • it sucks cause i live in lethbridge... :/ but when im older im living there :)

  • I went across the country and Calgary was one of 3 places I wanted to go that I missed :( and I was in Banff for 3 days

  • I love Calgary lol I went once and loved it I want to move there

  • LOL, i hate calgary, it sucks.

    the weather is crap .

  • Calgary is my fav small city in North America. If you like a it generally manageable and quiet this is the place. I don't get the the "redneck" reputation at all. A little cowboy bt not redneck. If you think it's redneck there come down to Alabama or West Virginia and you'll see what redneck really is.

  • Calgary is where they invented smartboards

  • it all thugs n fuckin lebs lol KGB

  • @kidkappa04 I'm sorry to break the the news to you but Calgary is not redneck 50 years ago it was but not any more.

  • I've lived in Calgary since 1990 and was told it is a red-neck/ right-wing town...still haven't found this to be true. We just elected a muslim mayor. Calgary is a city with a multicultural flavor that can be seen in all areas of daily life. It is a very well planed out city that leaves room for change and growth. The ample roads and trails allows getting around the city fast and easy with very few bottle necks to slow you down.

  • @quickdrawboi ...Calgary was VERY redneck in the 60's, 70's and most of the 80's but is has matured :)

  • In the very sunny summer the days can get hot but the nights cool down. Calgary is 1 of 3 places in the world that has warming winds in the winter (called a Chinook. a native word for snow eater) that comes in over the Rocky Mountains and settles on the Calgay area warming the city. I've seen the temp go from -20c to +15c in less the one hour and have had +29c on christmas day. A Chinook can last for a few hours or up to more then a week.

  • @quickdrawboi damn didn't know that

  • @quickdrawboi chinooks are a godsend when you live in Calgary. It's like -30 on a monday, then tuesday flys up with +5 or higher. Soooo nice to walk around with no jacket in the winter

  • Please can anyone tell me how I can go and stay in Canada. I don't have enough informations.

  • calgary sucks...

  • @wildshotsintheair And whats your excuse? You haven't even been there. -_-

  • I can't comment on Edmontons night life as I don't get up there much. I lke Edmonton though, I'm sure just like Calgary, its growing into its own. :)

  • our zoo is awesome!

  • I Live In Calgary!

  • i actually live here. once you get used to it it's nit so interesting after all... plus, our hockey team isnt doing too well..

  • My beautiful country. I wish I could go and stay there. Love you.

  • @xZeDgEx

by my post i wanted to say that it excellent, that in such big city only 1.2)

  • QUIERO CONOCER CALGARY

  • million!? wow

    in Moscow more 10 million

  • @bobbyhill1100

How old is Moscow? Calgary is about 100 years old. Its a young city, the population is over 1.2 million now anyway.

  • @xZeDgEx Moscow was founded in 1147.Officially it's got about 12 million population, but if you count illegal residents it's all 20 million.

  • Gotta love the '90 footage! Lived here for 2 years, best time of my life. If you have a chance: definitely move! Every city has it's flaws, so does this one, but it's nice to be close to the mountains and the people are extremely friendly and it's a good place to live.

  • I would like to move from Montreal to Calgary, but I=ve been told that the city ^planners in Calgary have done a terrible job and I its sucks cause their is not enough roads

  • @vince8520 - too many people moved here all at once in the early 2000's and the infrastructure has yet to catch up, but you can get around the problem nicely by living and working in the same area to minimise driving or walk or take transit or bike - lots of support for all these activities and many of us do it year round...

  • @vince8520 that is just retarded. and you are worried considering the rotting decaying road systems in your city. ha ha i think you will be shocked when you get to Calgary and see just how modern it really is compared to any Canadian city.

  • calgary's always been my fav canadian city

  • im stuck in London

    i wanna move to canada

plz tell me how good this city is in living?

  • @persianiranforever It's a good city, it depends on what you're looking for. as you can see from the video, it's a very rugged, western style city. if that's something you're interested in experiencing, they you'll probably like it. it's very different than london. it's a very clean city, and there's a pretty good job market in calgary right now. the main thing you have to watch out for it the weather though, it can be quite unpredictable. summer's are usually hot, winters are very cold.

  • @persianiranforever Best Canadian cities, depending on who you are and what you want here are: Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Niagara Falls, Ottawa...Calgary is a right wing redneck town (nothing worng with that. I'm right wing). I like it, it's fun & It's also booming economically right now (great place to make money at the moment) but I still wouldn't live there. If work took me there I would, but not by choice. That being said Canada has alot to offer pretty much wherever you are

  • witch one has a better nightlife, calgary or edmonton?

  • @souljadream85 Edmonton sucks just a bit more than Calgary in every way! :)

  • @souljadream85 depends on who you are and what you are looking for...Calgary has the red mile, a top place for young people looking to get drunk...Edmonton has the arts :)

  • witch one has a better nightlife, calgary or alberta?
