This is so "wow". But when some of your childhood friends were The Bee Gees (seriously - pictures exist!) you know there's always going to be musical expertise in the air. I'm still trying to figure out what happens "after" the song Okay he thought he'd want her 'til eternity but was wrong. And then? And then? Maybe I should ask. Through email and Facebook I found him to be extremely approachable. Been dying to know the details of this "unfinished" sounding song.
An absolute Cancon cornerstone of the 70's. This song is as refreshing today as it has always been. You autographed my record at the Muntz Records & 8-Track store in the Scarborough Town Center in 1974. It's still in it's plastic. I'm real glad you all did this outstanding video to accompany the legendary song! Thanks Peter & Co.
@Klaatubes That rocks. So I sent email. Pfft! It's not the same as meeting him. My favourite is still Roxanne. A 1976 tune that never made it to CD in any way shape or form so he wasn't too cheesed off when I told him I found it on a file sharing site. When he announced that the master tapes were located and that a CD would be released I actually bought it. You don't catch me doing that often but it's worth it.
This one takes me way back. Funny though how the lyrics story line ends less than halfway into the song. A solo and the chorus carrys the song the rest of the way. Cool!
Wow!!!! This is a wonderful hit of nostalgia for me. I had this song on a K-Tel album (called 'Fantastic') back in the 70s. It was one of my favourite songs, a happy mood inducing one for me back then, and I haven't heard it again until just now. My eyes are even a bit watery right now in a very good way. Thanks for posting this. Faved of course. :)
