It seems that a large part of the culture is obsessed with being white. The few mixed children that were half black were treated poorly, while the mixed half white were treated like royalty.

The Filipino Mongoloids you are referring to are the Austronesians who arrived in the Philippines 5,000 years ago from Southern China (if you base on Bellwood's hypothesis) or Sulawesi/Southern Mindanao area (if you base on Solheim's hypothesis).

Skin color (to anyone who is expert in genetics, correct me if im wrong) developed in response to the environment, climate and external factors people had in their habitats. Just like having long noses is an adaptation to the environment. 'Cause if all environments are the same, we'd all look the same. But it's not.

Now, I will agree with you that there are many "Theories "about where the native came from. but- I believe that science is the only reliable source of determining origin. The predominance of the L1 genetic haplotype in both the Aka and the Aeta, along with the other similarities are a good indicator of their origin. So in my note when I state the native were almost completely African I was right.

Good try my friend, but your research is faulty. Twa People of the Great Lakes Region of Central Africa, are not the ancestors of the Native of the island, now called the Philippines. Their true ancestors are the Aka. The Aka (plural, BiAka or Ba'Aka or Bayaka; singular MouAka) are a nomadic African pygmy people who live by hunting. Although the Aka people call themselves BiAka, they are also known as Babenzele.

Where did you get the information that people from Hawai'i are of African origin? If you're referring to the melanesians, they never even reached the Hawaiian islands. Hawaiians are of Polynesian origin, which ultimately derived from the Austronesian (Malayo-Polynesian) ancestry. Austronesians are a distinct group, who eventually left Southern China to settle in Taiwan, spreading southwards to the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Tahiti, etc where they met indiginous "pygmies".

It's rather misleading to say "mixed filipinos" even tho it is probably an accurate statement since we have so much mixed ancestry- spanish, chinese, etc. but when u say mixed filipinos what comes to mind are half breeds lol such as myself, half filipino & half something else. & yes aetas are one of the true pure filipinos but it would be more accurate to say indigenous. And yes, many filipinos are prejudiced against their fellow man... particularly those with darker skin. :(

I agree. The original people of the Philippines are African. They had and still have a different culture than what most consider African culture, but they were, and are African people.
The Philippines has had problems with racism because of the white supremacist and racist ideologies of the British, the Spanish, and later, the Japanese decided to join that philosophy, and all, a bunch of idiots.

My mother is from the Mindano, S. Mainland of the P.I'S. He also tells me that "negritos" are the original people of the Phillippines, and untrue that negrito's were brought their exclusively from the Spaniards.
She says their were forms of discrimination based on tribal and the muslims, but she said she never encountered Racism until she came to the states.

these beautiful never fail to touch my heart... i perfectly remember in my childhood if theyre coming down from the mountains they will passby in large groups from were we used to live and sometimes we buy veggies, plantain from them, very kind and sweet people until mount pinatubo erupted i think they moved to another place and i havent seen them since... im sending my prayers and respect for them....
