I may not know a whole lot about the military and everything being 17 and all, but i recently attended Oklahoma Boys State, and one thing i gained a much better understanding for is patriatism and our nation's flag. I definetly gained a much better understanding that our flag is not a piece of material, but a symbol for all the veterans who served and those who died to give us all the rights we are fortunate enough to have in our great nation. The man that sang/wrote the song was over seas fighting for you and your families. i was in 2-8 infantry 4ID at Fort Hood, i think it's 1-41 now or something. I went to war as a HET driver, they don't like infantry and i got stuck in a guard tower alot.
