  • :42. Look at what I can do to this plastic gun.

  • On the old TV sets the stunt men's faces were blurred. Now we can see them clearly thanks to digital media. Just FYI.

  • Well one lesson i learned. Never buy your phaser from burger king.

  • Kirk is awful....

  • Oh yeah! Where Kirk fights the Gorn is probably worse...

  • One of the worst choreographed fight scenes...

  • why did they even use a stunt double I mean the stunts they did except for khan being flipped over weren't dangerous. Shatner could've done those himself.

  • what was this episode called??

  • @bradshawvincent

    Space Seed.

  • @dragonballz768 thanks. a great episode i remember seeing as youngster when it was first shown in the uk about 1968?

  • @bradshawvincent

I would think it came out around that time. I wasn't around at the time this was made,if it was 1968 it would be 20 years older than me.

  • Shatner's stunt double looks like Ronald Reagan in some shots.

  • Kirk: 1/3 diplomat, 1/3 loverman, and 1/3 ass kicker. Kinda like Riker.

  • Khan had Five time the strength of Kirk, yet he got knocked out with a plastic anvil. lol

  • Kirk almost pulled off a legit Frankensteiner at like 1:35.

    Nice.

  • They could have at least found a stuntman who looked a bit like Shatner.

  • @chapaev36 Shatner did far morer dangerous stunts. I don't understand why the Studio/Insurance Company would not let him act/fight in this scene. This was not that great a fight scene. Khan's dialogue made the scene.

  • @blackonics Back in those days, studios were even more protective of their actors then today...

  • Montalban was a real pro and brought the show up, but it was funny to see the stunt men in this fight scene

  • Ricardo did some stunts but couldn't do most of them. Because he was suffering from a pretty bad back injury he got a few years before Star Trek. He was thrown from his horse and another trampled on him. He had surgery to relive some of the pain in the 1990's but was botched and was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

  • @Bartman954 Yes, the accident happened during the filming of "Across the Wide Missouri", in which he played a native american chief.

  • Wouldn't it be great if Kahn tried to break the gun at the beginning and couldn't do it. . . awkward. . .

  • It would be one of those moments where you say you can open the pickle jar, and then totally fail at it. You would half expect Kirk to offer him a hand with a tea towel.

  • "Space Seed".... truly one of my favorite classic Star Trek episodes. Ricardo was truly an amazing and legendary actor. May he rest in peace.

  • "Space Seed".... what an awesome classic Star Trek episode. Ricardo was an amazing and truly legendary actor. May he rest in peace.

  • even though this was a VERY short fight, it was one of most significant in star trek history!

  • LOL... I've never seen any knocked bu being hit in the back....

    "You're no match for me".....

    R.I.P. Ricardo... the smoothest around..

  • Yes, a great scene, RIP Ricardo.

  • A classic scene! RIP Ricardo.
