  • LOL just for kicks I played along with you and added some sweet little chord run changes in there...it's kind of funny cause your tempo is off a bit; funny to keep up with but good job anyways. Tempo and soul; tempo and soul. Memorize and add to your rep. it'll get better. Nice job

  • you will never be him

  • wow dude you kind of ruined he song in the beginning

  • first I gotta say, congrats for having balls to post any singing. It puts people out there, but there's just no heart here. I hate to damper the mood here, but you gotta put more soul into this tune, and don't be afraid to strum the guitar. Good on ya for being brave enough to post. I just don't feel this from you. Maybe I play it a little louder and that's my style. Sorry to offend.

  • Good Job! love John prine!

  • Good on you mate. Ole Johnny Prine would like your rendition also. Thanks for sharing!

  • Prine is the greatest. I posted tonight. Long live John!

  • Damn Good! Start there. But like other comments--you do so well--don't be afraid to let it hang out there! I do when I sing--so does John--you should too...sing till it hurts--then back off just a hair!

  • This was my late husband's favourite John Prine song. He was the son of a preacher man; and he didn't rightly cotton to organized religion.

You got heart, buddy. You just need a bit more practice.

  • not bad bro not bad but dont be afraid to open up and be loud thats what john prine would do ;) also your tempo is a bit speratic this is because your singing to the chords instead ofd a steady beat ;)

try SAM STONE bro its in G,C,F D D7 basic the same chords our dads and uncles played ;) lol i know i grew up in the same environment bro...lol...good job overall though but best advice from me is to not be shy open up push from down below your chest when you sing ( try please remember me" t mcgra

  • you were muc better than the second guy

  • Hey whats wrong with Hank, anyways keep posting I like your style.

  • Good job. I was lucky to see John Prine live

at Navy Pier in Chicago. Unforgettable !!!

  • Not a bad cover But how could he make better more him?

  • nice!

  • I love this song.

  • This ones not energetic enough if you compare it to rig the jigs version (which you unfortunately wont find here)

  • I was sleepy

  • your really good man

  • Not a bad job at all except I feel you need to pick up the beat a bit as John P did. Good voice and alright guitar pickin but sounds a bit Hank Williams. Keep up the good work.

  • Great version!

  • you got a great party voice man! I hope you're breaking out the guitar and playing some songs with some friends getting 'round drinking :P

Just one thing...You should let the video go for a few seconds longer so that the song doesn't end so abrubtly. Kinda like a fade out. Not a big deal really though.

Keep on posting up songs, I'd love to hear more. :)
