Gotta love em. Anything that gets kids listening to Fishbone is cool with me

  • Thumbs up if Michele Bachmann sent you here.

  • ah!!! like drake feels about his love for weezy

  • I think I can speak for everyone when I say that I don't hear the word "politics" one single time in this song. If you actually listen to it, you know that's not what the song is about. You all seriously need to take your political comments somewhere else.

  • YEAH QUESTLOVE

  • blah, blah, blah, politics, blah, blah. it's an awesome song, and it's true. so stfu.

  • Michele Bachmann! Great piece.

  • Questlove!

  • @justarocknrollrebel

yo rebel! Where did you see I insulted anybody? here's my comment:

"So sad you didn't know fishbone before Michele Bachmann..."

btw YOU insulted me "d.bag, piss off...". You may be too young to keep your calm, but I was just saying "it's sad". It's sad 'cause Fishbone is a great band and it has to be on TV so that people can discover it.

It's sad that only the bands played on radio/tv can be famous, that was just my point.

Have fun dear defender of youtube justice.

  • @Prolo4Life I will! I wear a cape and carry pepper spray. I also wear tights, and bitch smack those that are snobs. :)

  • Just enjoy the music

  • all you liberals are fuckin' idiots. a bunch of people that have their hands out hoping that someone gives them something. for those liberals that are actually successful, they usually have some sort of white guilt about the fact they aren't poor. the GOP isn't perfect, but to act that all conservatives are against the middle class and poor is ridiculous. what we want is for people to stop making excuses and blaming others for their own failures.

  • We hear cries of bloody murder when there are calls to arrest Wall Street for massive forgery and money laundering...yet have no trouble when our young women are pepper sprayed in the face for expressing their constitutional rights.

Conservatives are against the middle class, because its the core of their belief system. They believe in Social Darwinism. Adam Corolla admitted as much just the other day when he said "maybe I have more money than you because I have better genetics".

  • @mattTubular25 so you don't deny that you libs are a bunch of whiny babies that would rather have someone else take care of your family rather than sacrifice a bit and work. as far as Wall Street, a true conservative would not have bailed out the banks and auto makers, they would have let them fail, just like they would a small business owner. both Bush and Obama bailed out the thieves on Wall Street, so those Occupy assholes should go to the White House to bitch and moan.

  • @dalastdon1432 You're the poster-girl for GOP abused wife syndrome. America has moved on, they've realized that crack-pot partisans like yourself have weak morals.

Its this softness towards crime and towards respecting the law that has hurt this country. We're sick and tired of economic liberalism coming out of the U. Chicago (where Obama taught). We want a true leader...not just a cheer leader for 19th century economic lessons (rand paul).

  • @mattTubular25 softness towards crime? you're the one crying about the police pepper spraying people. I guess setting fires and blocking traffic is okay, as long it's part of your agenda.

also, why are my morals bad? because I want people to prosper by getting off the couch and not waiting for Big Brother to give them healthcare, an education and food along with shelter? i want everyone to do well, but that won't happen as long as our country makes it so comfortable being poor.

  • @dalastdon1432 Very clearly, the conservatives have staked out their position as wanting to support "job creators" and not the middle class. It's their theory being that a government policies that are friendly to the super wealthy, would create an economic recovery. After 10 years of continuous tax cuts, 700 billion in bail-outs, 7.7 trillion in secret bailouts....shit hasn't happened.

Its not the liberal media. Its normal logic to move on from ideas that don't work.

  • @mattTubular25 It's hard to have a discussion with someone whose only "news" source is fox's evening lineup. And these "job creators" that the right supports truly are creating jobs...they take their tax breaks, give themselves cash, then run away to Indonesia and create jobs there! And you're totally right, if an idea doesn't work, try something else. Sadly, many people have very short memories.

  • Ha! I love that a Fishbone song sparked this debate!!

  • Is that Connie Black on lead ?

  • JIMMY fALLON FOR EVERYONE!!!!

  • let's SIGN these guys!!!!...YES!!!.. RINGTONES FOR EVERYONE!

  • let's SIGN these guys!!!!...YES!!!

  • ahWHHH!!! song drives me NUTSS..LOV IT!!...THEY SHOULD GIVE DUDES BAND BONUSES FOR THIS BEAT...!!!

  • ahWHHH!!! song drives me NUTSS..LOV IT!!

  • The band should have gone with a better intro by Garbage - Queer Hey boy, take a look at me Let me dirty up your mind I'll strip away your hard veneer And see what I can find The queerest of the queer The strangest of the strange The coldest of the cool The lamest of the lame The numbest of the dumb I hate to see you here You choke behind a smile A fake behind the fear The queerest of the queer Marcus Bachmann would have creamed himself.
  • So funny that Michelle Bachmann is now responsible for a new wave of Fishbone fans. Now if Newt Gingrich could could somehow drive people towards Bad Brains, the prophecy will be complete. If you have just discovered Fishbone, check out the Ultra Infidels on youtube.

  • @Manekineko1972

No bin laden, no cash because it was spent all on black Friday and cyber Monday, no iPads iPods MacBooks because they all sold out. Recession what!!! Don't believe the hype people have money. And don't believe that lying ass bitch MB

  • Bachman is a whiner, she needs to "roll with the punches". She has attracted MUCH MORE attention by her reaction.

  • @martinminot That's the point. In her situation in the polls there is no such thing as bad publicity.

  • @SloterMFmeyer Very true.

  • right and left is an illusion

  • Thumbs up if questlove brought u here lol

  • I will forever associate this song with Michelle Bachman....thank you Questlove, The Roots & Fishbone

  • All you republicans that came here listen to more fishbone

  • @Meemanjack You're half right. We mainly come here to read your moronic messages, for a good laugh.

  • Conservatives are coming to this website to research the insult aimed at Michele Bachmann by Jimmy Falon. Falon? Falcon? I never watched the show.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 random

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Reagans a piece of shit, fucker never gave me my money..

  • @TheCannabisKing The funny thing is conservatives forget Reagan raised taxes 8 times and closed some corporate loopholes. He also left the economy in a hole which led to Bush Sr. calling Reagan's economic plan "Voodoo Economics".

  • @last808 The Democrat lead Congress raised the taxes. Reagan signed the Bill's as a Bi-partisan compromise that for the most part the lying Bastard Democrats reneged.

  • I support @questlove !

  • Some more suggestions...

    Everyday Sunshine; Sunless Saturday; Freddy's Dead;

Red Hot Chili Peppers used to open for Fishbone in the 80's.

  • As long as at least some of you buy the album and see them live..... PHENOMENAL

  • thumbs if you knew this song before it was played on a late night talk show

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks to the Roots and NBC I got to learn this kickass song

  • @evspatsfan22 Cool!, I've been listing to this song since it came out in the 1980s good to know that Fishbone is getting the recognition it needs, they really should be a lot more famous as a band at least as famous as Red Hot Chili Peppers.

  • if you're talking politics here, you are a FUCKING IDIOT. this is fucking music, not the house of representatives. slit your throats, tools.

  • Obama isn't even wanting white working class votes. So guess what idiots? If you work for $9.00 an hour, you're a target. He only wants Black, Hispanic and welfare state people to vote. That's his strategy according to a NY Times Link.

    hxxp:campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/11/27/the-future-of-the-obama-coalition/

There's your lyin' ass bitch. He's sitting at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and if you want to make something of your life, he doesn't like you.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 link doesnt work.

  • @NYAngelo replace the two X's in HXXP with a T and you will.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 I did that stil doesn't work.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Yeah I'm not sure that you fully understood it. Okay for starters the article is an opinion and its not a very tough article. If you look at some of the works that are referenced in the article it claims more that Obama is losing the working class vote not that he doesn't want them to vote or that he doesn't want their support. This is my understanding of the citations in this opinionated article.

  • @NYAngelo At least you did get to read it. Obama's plan is to get re-elected by making the working class white people as the enemy. I'm sorry but a waitress making $400 a week with tips isn't who we should be maligning. Obama needs to expand educational and work opportunities, not screw over white peeps. Think about it. Give assistance to out of work people at all levels (Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorates) so when the economy finally rebounds, the disenfranchised are ready for work.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Like I said before, the article isn't claiming Obama is making enemy's with the white working class, hes just losing support no thanks to the right wing. The right wing wants Obama to fail because it would benefit them by giving them an opportunity to take the white house, but what the republicans don't realize is if the President of the U.S. fails than America too fails. This is because the President represents this country, he represents you and me. Final statement.

  • @NYAngelo And every day The Democratic Congress, News Media, and Cable TV Spinning Heads, openly pounded Bush.

  • @DeckerGMillar I would of supported him if he weren't so damned ignorant toward Afghanistan, started a very expensive, good for nothing war in Iraq, and let the market crash. The list goes on, but what I say about Bush involves his politics and his actions not his religion and whether or not he was born in this country. I admit to not being a supporter of Bush, but I didn't want him to Fail. I wanted him to change, to be smarter and be a little bit more thoughtful. Never happened.

  • @NYAngelo Are you insane??? America does not revolve around the concept that the president is the nucleus of the republic. There is a reason why America is a republic, not a democracy.

  • @marccom98 Saying that this country is a republic is like saying the color of that car is Chevy. This country is a Republic on certain levels, and a Democracy on other levels, they are not mutually exclusive. BTW, what I meant by "the country would fail if the President fails" is that we're not working correctly. That this country has failed to pull through its problems and progress, not that the country would just self destruct. The U.S. is still a very powerful and upholding country.

  • @NYAngelo - 1) I want him to fail because his policies will turn America into a fascistic socialist state. I don't want America "fundamentally transformed".

    2) He's not President; Article 2 section 1 of the Constitution. His father was not a citizen at the time of his birth, therefore he's not eligible to hold the office.

  • @Hiraghm You use phrases like "fascistic socialist" but I get this feeling that you don't actually know what those words mean.

  • @MsBigcheese93 - Then I suggest you not follow your feelings. Fascism is a form of socialism. The "pure" socialism that socialists advocate can't exist in the real world of humans. It can be imposed, however, by a form of fascism.

Obama advocates the gov't controlling the private sector; fascist. Obama advocates the redistribution of wealth, from a view that all goods, services and monies ultimately belong to the collective; socialism.

  • @MsBigcheese93 Lolz. oxymoron

  • @MsBigcheese93 i get the feeling you dont

  • Comment removed

  • @Hiraghm "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President;" Obama was born in this country therefore he is a citizen whether his father was a citizen or not. I always keep a book of the Constitution right next to my desk. BTW, please look up the definition of Fascist and Socialist, 2 completely different ideology's. Only one thing in common.

  • @NYAngelo - he is not "natural born". He is a citizen, I don't argue that. But he is not "natural born". To be "natural born" requires that your parents also be citizens at the time of your birth. They can be immigrants, but they must be citizens.

Obama was NOT a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. His father was a British subject, so he is NOT "natural born".

Btw, this might also affect Marco Rubio, a popular conservative politician.

  • @Hiraghm Jus Soli (right of the soil) states that If you are born on U.S. Soil you are an official citizen of the Country, meaning you are a natural born citizen. Jus Sanguinis (right of blood) says that you are a citizen through the blood of your parents if you were born in another region that did not belong to the U.S.. Natural Born agrees with Jus Soli, and what you're saying agrees with Jus Sanguinis. In Conclusion: Jus Soli = Natural Born whether his parents were born in the U.S. or not.

  • @NYAngelo - No, Jus Soli does NOT mean you become a "natural born citizen"; you're not even a native born citizen. It may mean that you're a citizen, but not all citizens are "natural born".

Jus Sanguinis would logically require that your *parents* be citizens, as I'm saying. As his father was NOT a citizen, he's not "natural born".

Like the Founding Fathers, I use Vattel's definition, supported by Minor V Happersett.

  • @Hiraghm Ok, to start things off, natural born citizen isn't fully defined in the Constitution, therefore the 14th Amendment goes into further detail as to whom is a natural born citizen. By birth Obama under the 14th Amendment is considered a natural born citizen. Where as Minor V. Happersett the 14th Amendment did not apply to her because she was already considered a natural born citizen, as well as it did not grant women's suffrage.

  • @NYAngelo - The 14th Amendment does not address "natural born". It says that if you are born here, or "naturalized" (that is, made a citizen), you are a citizen of the nation and of the State in which you were born. There is not only one type of citizen. By birth, Obama is considered a CITIZEN, not "natural born". In Happerset v Minor, she was NOT considered "natural born". In fact, it established that there ARE different types of citizen, with different privileges.

  • @Hiraghm BTW, If you're so damned right, why don't you take the case to the court room and make it official. I mean you obviously know more than the people who have spent 30+ years studying law and cases such as Minor V. Happersett.

  • @NYAngelo - Fine, give me the millions of dollars it'll take to see it through, and I will.

  • @NYAngelo - So, Obama bin Laden, 35 years ago, snuck into the U.S. with his pregnant wife, she gave birth, so the child is a citizen. He takes the kid back to Saudi Arabia, raises him to be a terrorist and fanatical fundamentalist Moslem. The kid now comes back to the U.S., "renounces" his dad, runs for President, and thanks to P.C., wins. Now we have an enemy of the nation as President.

The "natural born" requirement was meant to help assure this kind of thing doesn't happen.

  • @Hiraghm Listen guy, I'm tired of listening to your nonsense. Your talking about a case that was overruled later on by the 19th Amendment. Do me a favor and cut the B.S. out because I've tried being rational with you, you're obviously caught up in a world that you are always right. I've talked to plenty of Immigration Lawyers and I'm pretty sure they know what they're talking about on this subject. I'm done being rational with you. Obama Bin Laden? Your opinion no longer carries any weight.

  • @NYAngelo - 19th Amendment didn't deal with "natural born citizen". You're tired of being rational? When are you going to start being rational? I never said "Obama Bin Laden". You may be worried about supporting Obama, I'm worried about defending the Constitution, and the future of the republic.

If immigration lawyers told you that "natural born citizen" and "citizen" were synonymous, they should hang up their sheepskins. They are indeed shysters.

And a threat to the republic.

  • @Hiraghm

That is the dumbest argument against birthright citizenship I've ever heard.

  • @NathanaelFaunce - I'm not arguing against birthright citizenship. Not all citizens are eligible to be President. Only those who are natural born and have achieved the age of 35. "Natural born citizen" is NOT the same as "citizen".

  • @NYAngelo - to be clear; Jus Soli agrees that, if born in the U.S., you're a citizen. Jus Sanguinis agrees that, if your parents are citizens, no matter where you are born, you're a citizen. Obama's father was a British subject, not an American citizen.

Not all citizens are "natural born", even though they are still citizens.

  • @Hiraghm oh, BTW, Marco Rubio is a natural born citizen.

  • @NYAngelo - You know that his parents were citizens at the time of his birth? I've been looking for verification on this.

  • @Hiraghm his mother was a citizen he was born in Hawaii and like the other person said to you, you need to look up the definitions of Socialism and Communist because you are not correct, people like you make Americans look stupid, read a book and try to educate yourself...geez we have enough dim-wits in this country.

  • @kimrabb - I know the definitions of socialism and communism. Just because I recognize them as evil and you don't doesn't make me, or other Americans stupid. His mother was a citizen, but his father wasn't. They both have to be, particularly the father.

  • @Hiraghm That is such bullshit, George Washington's father was technically born in 'British America', not the USA. Where did it ever say in any constitution anywhere that your parents have to be born in the USA, and 'especially the father', What does that even mean? You Birthers are such lunatics it's unbelievable.

  • @lynottlives Article 2, section V:

"Clause 5: No Person except a *natural born Citizen*, or a *Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution*, shall be eligible to the Office of President; "

He was a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. Obama and Rubio were NOT citizens at the time of the adoption of the Constitution.

"...natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens."

  • @Hiraghm Thomas Jefferson's mother was born in England....he was a founding father...was he illegally president as well?

  • @lynottlives - he was a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution.

  • @Hiraghm Ya know what...your actually too stupid to even talk to about this. He's a fucking citizen, he's the president, now get the hell over it.

  • @lynottlives - He's a citizen; he's not eligible to be President. Now get the hell over it.

  • @kimrabb -""The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. "" - Vattel

The whole purpose was to avoid mixed loyalties by the CinC. This was before the "We are the world" mentality.

  • Comment removed

  • @NYAngelo Two completely different ideologies--thank you! You can't be a cat and a dog at the same time.

  • Comment removed

  • @5192ig88 haha good to know I'm not alone.

  • @NYAngelo i wish you were joking about looking up a definition. if only a political philosophy could be summed up in a sentence lol. if politics were that simple, all the people like you would be right!!?! unfortunately for us all, simple-folk like yourself can still vote, publish their thoughts, and host tv shows, trying to apply simple terms to a complex matter, and rallying masses of gullible sophists all the while

  • @UnderATallTree Guy you will never be able to depict me so don't even try. My own two parents barely even know me, so don't you dare think that any of my thoughts and opinions as well as research that has accumulated over the years is enough info for you to understand me. Please, don't be so pretentious and condescending. I mean I don't even know who you are, and I'm forced to defend myself because you believe I'm the average man, and have nothing more to offer. Final Statement.

  • @NYAngelo

And no matter how strong willed and special you are, you removed your comment so we cant judge this entire conversation

  • @fiveoclockpunk You can't "judge" my comment? I don't care. I removed it because it held personal information that shouldn't be "judged" by random people on the internet. It was a mistake to post it. BTW what makes you think I'm special? I certainly don't think I'm special or strong willed. Oh and, if I may ask, who's "we"?

  • @NYAngelo

you said "even my parents dont know me" grow the fuck up and buy some balls kids.. we is the internet as a collective, i've never removed anything.

  • @fiveoclockpunk who "we" is*

  • @NYAngelo

BTW u are way to mad to be on the internet... why dont u delete the shortcut from ur desktop...

  • @NYAngelo

i dont mean to offend, i just want you to stop acting like such a fucking e-bouncer

  • @fiveoclockpunk Okay, I guess you haven't seen the entire conversation. I stopped responding a while ago. People every now and then come back at me with more political bullshit. I'm just responding to it. I've been defending myself for a while now hoping people would stop commenting. You also never answered the question of "we" is. BTW I'm not mad. I'm tired to be honest.

  • @Hiraghm You are completely out of your mind. All the way. Obama is an American citizen, he was born in the United States, he is the President. Even if he were elected despite not being eligible (I stress again: this didn't happen, you fucking loon) he IS the president because he sits in the Oval Office and nobody else does, and until he is removed from that office, he is the President. Second: FASCIST SOCIALIST???? YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WORDS MEAN! THOSE ARE OPPOSITES! YOU RUIN AMERICA!

  • @matt12491 - I've never said he wasn't a CITIZEN. I said he's not a "natural born citizen", which is required in Article 2, section 5.

So, if I go squat in the Oval Office, I can be President?!? Wonderful, guess we don't need elections or a Constitution.

No, in practice fascism and socialism are synonymous. Both are based on the philosophy that individuals cannot be allowed to run their own lives.

And I'm not ruining America. Leftist politicians and those who vote for them are.

  • @matt12491 no, You dont know what words mean. they are so similar in philosophy that i pity you for believing in some washed up propagandized rhetoric. and i pity the rest of the liberals in this country for buying all those simplistic hand-me-down concepts that lead to huge movements of people wasting time only to prove their ignorance *cough* occupy rallies *cough*

  • @ManekiNeko1972 You mean working class white people like his own mother was? Stop making the man out to be some white people hating monster, its simple not true and a poor excuse people use because they dont understand politics. How has he gone after white people specificly? You only make 400 dollars a week in tips that i'm sure you dont claim, how much do contribute to the country in taxes? The repubs are the ones who are aiming to cut funding for assistance programs like the ones you want

  • @thomcat86 Yes, like them. You know why? Because he can't get their vote because Obummer's the one who's causing the middle class to become the working class, the working class to become the underclass and the underclass to become bankrupt. Do you know 1.6 million people went bankrupt in 2011? That's more than 1 in 200 people in the U.S.. Obama's worrying about fucking with health care and telling us we have to "understand" the Black Panthers when he should be getting people back to work.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 And the supporting of corporations to pay less taxes while they ship jobs overseas has nothing to do with why We're ALL becoming the working class. What makes me most upset about you comment is the divisive speech. White, black, blue we are all suffering. This isnt about race anymore, the sooner people like you understand that the faster the American people can unite and take our country back from corporate interests. I think you should look at policies put in place b4 2008

  • @thomcat86 But Obama hasn't done shit to fix it and he's had 3 years to fuck things up worse. The NY Times Article I linked to showed that Obama's strategy is to rely on the black and hispanic underclass, the ones reliant on the government to get a 2nd term by painting that if a white girl works and earns $400 a week, she must have taken it from a black or Hispanic person who was "equally worthy". Bullshit. White people need jobs too.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Where the hell are you getting your information from? I've never heard any policy ideas from Obama for people of one race to get a job over another. So I think your own prejudice mentality is shadowing reality for you. Youre a waitress, no offense but anyone can do your job, Blacks and hispanics dont need the governments help to get a job like that. You sound like the people from South Park "they took our jeb!' Im not buying the poor white me argument. Race card- player?

  • @thomcat86 I read your article link and on the top in big letters it says "Opinion Page" meaning not factual and based on the author's bias. Obama cant lose something he never had which is the majority white working class vote. For you to pass this article off as Obama's policy journal is shows lack of integrity. Funny when Herman Cain says if you dont have a job its your own fault you dont say anything but when you dont have a job you want to blame Obama.

  • @thomcat86 - I'm tired of hearing people piss and moan about corporations shipping jobs overseas. Where were you in the 1970s, when everyone started buying foreign cars and other products? You didn't seem to give a shit then whether American corporations could stay in business or not. No, you wanted the cheapest (in both meanings of the word) products. Well, they want the cheapest labor. If you don't owe American companies to buy their products, they don't owe you to hire Americans.

  • @Hiraghm mmm.....where was I in the1970's well judging from my screen name thomcat86, I wasnt even born yet. However, now that I exist I do buy American products, I drive a Chevy and buy American electronics. Big business wants lower taxes and corporate loopholes in exchange for what? They do owe me, they owe all of us. Where were you during the dawn of the industrial age when workers worked long hours for miserable wages, and children got their hands cut off in machinery.
