  • Oh and I'm a girl.

  • @kylejay1000

Thanks. I am also doing 20 squats, 20 lunges 3 minutes plank daily, And I don't eat after 7pm.

  • I'm 17 and I wanna lose some fat in my sides and thighs and then tone. Will Doing ten minutes of this everyday help me lose fat?

  • @Pinguinlove94 yes it will bud, try adding some muscle mass to and eat well(or as best you can for being young lol)

  • No. Run outside. If you want to run dont do it half-ass. The treadmill is only good for hanging clothes on. If you want to waste your time, use the tread mill. It's your calll.

  • @turdsandwicher ...After running on the treadmill for months at high speed and high incline, I went to the track to run. Huge difference. It was like I was starting to run from the beginning! Treadmill aint the same and causes delusionial reality. Moreover, I used to skip rope with a speed rope and they always state how good it is. They state that 10 minutes is equivolent to 1 mile of running. It aint true. I would skip rope for 45 minutes to and hour. Running on a track IS THE ANSWER!

  • @USAisAntiWhite Hey bro, long distance running at sturdy pace uses oxygen, it's aerobic exercise. If you use a speed rope high at intensity or use a treadmill at an incline with high intensity that's going to burn sugar, anaerobic cardio. Same with uphill sprints. Different exercises do different things.

  • @NejiKusa ...I've been skipping rope for over 30 yrs. It's better then sitting in front of the tv but it aint like running outside on a track. The treadmill is a joke. I would do the fast pace and incline and then run on the track and then question the treadmill's benefit. There aint none. When I run at the track and see people skipping rope, I laugh to myself and know that they are wasting their time. Do yourself a favor all and give your treadmill and jump rope to someone for xmas!

  • Treadmill is a WASTE OF TIME & DECEIVING. I used to run fast and long distance on it. When I went to the track, it was a different story. Run for real. Hit the track or the street if you are serious. Don't kid yourself like all the other treadmill runners!

  • @USAisAntiWhite you are right to an extent. But if you turn up the incline its alot harder.

  • @USAisAntiWhite

I also want to run outside, but it's pretty cold here at the moment. On my treadmill I run at a high incline (6 percent) and very fast for 20 minutes to lift my mood. Don't you think it has any benefits?

  • i've been running on a treadmill for about 2 n half weeks and im frigging gaining weight even though i watch what i eat as i have no choice because of my cholesterol...weird?

  • Comment removed

  • My method is running 6-8 for 10mins straight inside or outside take 10 min break and doit again another 10...I feel real good after a days workout

  • I Just Run On The Treadmill For 60 Mins. At 7.0 Speed & I Burn 900 Calories.

  • what should my steady pace be and my max speed be, would 6km/h and 9km/h be good

  • where's this dude's muscle? he needs to get under a bar STAT!

  • @cj2695 Most runners don't have that much muscle.

  • if u want to lose weight you have to run over 20 min and with a stable speed.Speed doesnt matter. If you cant run with 10 km/h thats fine.Go with 6km/h.I am overweight,i have 10 pounds more that i should have and i do like 40 minutes on treadmill and i run 8km/h.Doing more minutes on treadmill is good cause u burn fat.I lost like 10 pounds in 40 days! And you dont have to starve to death. The key for proper diet is to eat when u are hungry and avoid sugar as much as you can.

  • i need to improve my cardio

  • @DebbieRocktNicht running outside is a lot easier then, I know from personal experience I get bored of treadmill after 5mins, outside I can do like 1 1/2 hours

  • ive been doing this since november my weight when i started was 240 now its 170

  • Can anyone tell me why the heck my knees(outside of knees) hurt everday since I started walking on the treadmill? I bought new walking/running shoes because I realized my feet were going inward. But my knees still hurt 1 week and a half into my walking routine! I want to jump rope, but not sure if that will make my knees worse?

  • @cajuncurlzz Sounds like ITB Syndrome (Iliotibial Band Syndrome). Affects a lot of runners and cyclists. It results from the ITB - running down the outside of your thigh - rubbing against lateral epicondyle of the femur (google any anatomy questions). It results from poor biomechanics. You got good shoes now hopefully. You need massage and stretching of your hips and ITB, stretching of your quads & glutes and strengthening of your hip abductors, quads, glut med and glutes.

  • @wahnaytothechrome thanks for your comment!! I will look into that more and try some of your suggestions!!

  • hey guys , unfortanetly i cannot understand it properly because i lost 90% of my hearing ability not long ago and there are so many background sounds, so no matter how loud i turn it up i can't understand him. Would probably one of you do me the favour and quickly comment what he's saying? would be great guys :-)

  • @sonynilz7 he basically said to run at a high pace on the treadmill for about 30 seconds.. then rest for 30 seconds and back and forth.. for about 10-20 mins.

  • he probly isnt but looks like an ectomorph, and btw thx for the tip its realy helped on my definition and tone.

lol i think definition and tone are the same thing xD

  • man great video , but go get some muscle !

  • Aren't these called tempo runs?

  • what i do is 3 mph for 5 min

Then 5.9 mph for 10 min

6.7 for 10 min then back to 3.0 for break.

  • @FiendofDA Then your workrate isnt high enough. That isnt interval training, thats more along the lines of long, slow cardio.

  • This is what I do:

    7 mph for 20 minutes

    4-5 mph for 2-3 minutes

then 6-6.5 mph for 7-8 minutes

  • i personally think he runs to slow on the second 30

  • @brrrrvd thats because he needs enough air to be able to breath and record this video so you can benefit from it.

  • you can do this while riding a bike it's alot more fun

  • @savator408 It may be alot more fun on a bike, but its far more effective as a fat burning and endurance gaining workout when you're running. On top of that, if someone is preparing for a race or some sort (5k, 10k, etc) they need to run.

  • I do something similar to challenge myself when i've been away a while it works and also shows how badly you needed to return.

it gets better and overtime speed and endurance increase.

    Thanks for the video.

    ;0)

  • does a treadmill really work for your stomach? I would like to know thanks.

  • @Brandon2119891 doing a decent run is the best workout for abs and weight loss.

  • @Brandon2119891 if you are talking about fat loss you cannot specifically target any one place for fat to come off you just have to keep on working your ass off and your body some what decides where the fat goes off first if you watch scooby1961 he explains things like this scooby is on youtube btw...

  • i cant hear shit

  • This is what I do

Start out at 2mph for the first 15 min ( Warm Up)

Then after that go to 3mph ( Fast walk) till you hit 40 min

For the last 5 min go to 4mph..Which is a running pace..It's a pretty good workout.

Also music REALLY helps you get through it, Without my Ipod I doubt I could get through it.

  • @JayZPimpin101 Honestly, thats a minimal amount of work. If you were seriously injured and rehabbing, or an older person (50-60+ yrs old) I could understand it. But no able bodied person should have that as their running workout. 15 mins of 2mph walking, 3mph for an additional 25 mins, then 4mph as your "working pace"? Come on dude, seriously? Thats light work. Part of seeing gains in running is pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and challenging your body. That workout aint doing it.

  • @scooniepenn Actually It Is doing It, I lost twenty pounds :P

  • @scooniepenn i do that workout for now, but i agree it isnt that hard, i just had heart surgery aswell

  • @ganiyanmugo Cool. If you've just had heart surgery, then definitely take it easy.

  • @scooniepenn everybodys different dude, Different workouts get different results because none of us are the same. You are prolly much more fit than me and much more accustomed to excercise. I was 60 pds over weight for a male my height which Is 6'2. Also I went from pretty much no excercise to the treadmill. I forgot to mention that I do It on a 5.0 incline out of 10 and Its all at once for 45 min no break In between. I've lost twenty pds from this excercise. It's not "light work" It's fast pace

  • @scooniepenn walking and running non stop for 45 min. As my health and stamina Improve, I will of course Increase the speed. Just thought I would clear things up lol

  • I watched this video a year and a half ago and started to train with HIIT. It works very well. Along with a semi good diet and some weight training I lost over 40 pounds in less than 6 months.I dropped from 196 to 153 . I would train with intervals M W F and weigh train on T Th and take the week end off. Trust me if you dedicate your self this works.

  • I started this yesterday joined with a circuit workout! Im hoping its gonna work! Im trying 6/8.5... 30sec at 6mph and 30sec at 8.5mph!

  • @Angyboi In this other vid that he did, he said that what works best for faster fat loss is to do high intensity for no more than 15 seconds because after 15 seconds your body switches to anaerobic and lactic acid that is released actually INHIBITS fat loss.

  • @narutoyondaime14 Thx for the reply. Isn't 15 secs a little short? I mean I could do 30 secs at 8.5mph and 1 min at 6 mph...

  • yelkaim 1 - I was wondering if i could do this in the park with my stop watch, rather than a treadmill? oh and 1 more thing i wanna keep my muscle i don't want to burn it, so how long should i be running for... does 20 min sound good :) please reply ... keep up the good work :) LOVE FROM LONDON !!!!

  • Have lost 46 pounds doing Interval training. On treadmill, warm up with 2 minutes, then 10 mph for 2-3 min followed by rest at 5 mph for 1 minutes. Repeat for 30-35 minutes. Burn 500-600 cal. 5 days/wk. 3 days/wk do 12 exercises using HIIT (20sec work/10 sec. rest, repeat 8x's). Excercises: Lat pull down, sit press, curls, bar dips, shoulder raises, side twists, bench press, squats, lunge, quad/hamstrng raises, plus planks, bird dog and crunch situps for core. Best shape of my life!! Thanks!

  • Some treadmills have speed interval which makes it much easier by configuring it first and going back from jog to running speed just by hittin one button.

  • I am trying to build up my stamina so that I can run for longer distances. I am doing a run, walk, sprint workout. Will this increase stamina? I actually like the ideal of warming up correctly and then doing sprint intervals when I am running short on time. What are your thoughts on sprint workouts? Do quick sprint workouts burn more calories than long distance runs?

  • @TheJonAlexander Obviously if you were to sprint for a 30 seconds it would burn more calories than jogging for 30. However, you get very tired doing intervals and if you do them too early with to much of a high intensity you may begin to feel a bit sick meaning you will probably want to give that up that day, therefore you would have been better to have just run a steady pace. My advice would be to mix days of distance / days of intervals and as you get fitter do more frequent intervals.

  • I think an easier to follow interval ratio is 1 to 2, or 1 to 3. So if you run 1 minute at 80% to 100% of your VO2 max, you then rest -slow down- 2(or 3 ) minutes. This allows for easier transition between heart rate changes, 30 seconds is not nearly

enough to recover from the high-intensity interval, if you are doing it correctly (i.e intense).

  • @borgesian2 I agree with this - in ten minutes, I can only fit 5 intervals in because of two things - 1) the time it takes the treadmill to wind up to run speed and wind down to jog speed and 2) the recovery time if I run at a pace I can just about handle for 30 seconds is more like 45-60 seconds.

  • This is great. Trying to go on a COMPLETE change, I am having a good diet and doing these workouts.

    thanks.

  • well, i love this work out. i'm not overweight but still lost 3kg. it makes me sweat all my stress out and i change the workout depending on my mud. on a good day i do 7km/hr walk- 1min, then 12.5km/hr jogging-40sec, 15-16km/hr sprint- 40sec. after 2 sets i skip the walking part and jogg and sprint as long as i can, then cool down with one more walk, jogg sprint set. well, pretty hard but worth it!

  • HELP!!! my butt is disappearing. i started doing 30 min treadmill jogging routines, 5 days a week, 2 months ago. the fat i lose doesn’t come from the body parts where i want to lose it. my belly is still round and my once fat butt is vanishing. i need to retain my butt fat while trying to lose my pot belly

  • @ohsulof4321 No such thing as spot reducing. Why would you want a fat butt? lol

  • @yelkaim1 how many times do you do this workout a day? just once a day or can we do more?

  • I'm trying to learn to run right, people tell me I heel strike >.<

  • I can vouch for this work out. I've been doing this for a week and a half and have already lost 7 pounds. Eating healthy is BIG factor is making this work. I weighed about 235 and now I'm at 228. That 30 seconds on and off thing is VERY annoying, if your treadmill has a number pad use that, I do. Here's my interval work out, 3.0 to start off for about 2 minutes, then 8.0 for a full minute, then back down to 3.0 for a full minute and so on and so forth for 20 minutes straight, no break. Try it.

  • The best fat burn c.v i ever did was. 5min run speed 12.0. Incline 1.0. Then 2min hill walk, incline 7.0 speed 5.0. for a toatal of 21mins 5,2,5.2,5,2. Did this 3 times a week, in the everning, after weight work out.

  • @anavywife28..you are so on the mark.......Yuris' advice is the "bomb".

  • since I would be pushing myself would this help me build my endurance so I could run longer distances?

  • I do this 4 times a week .. Is it good for burning fat ?

  • Yeah but only if you eat right and dont eat too much before going to bed.

  • I am not a trainer--just a fitness enthusiast. I developed/used the below interval workout a few years ago using my mountain bike mounted on a wind trainer. I am now running , and weight training, and am planning to start doing this once a week--it is the toughest workout I have ever done--use with caution. Great for developing explosive power of short dduration.

  • Using a cycling wind trainer and heart rate monitor as follows: all intervals at MAX intensity--bike in highest gear ratio.Start with 30secs. max intensity, then pedal easy until heartrate returns to 120--130 BPM. next intervls: 60 secs.--90 secs--120 secs.--90 secs--60 secs.--30 secs. Between each interval pedal easy in low gear until heart rate returns to around 120--130 BPM Over time work up to 2-3 repeats of the above.Totally ballistic workout.

  • thanx for explaining, I have a question, is it necesary to stretch BEFORE the HIT session?.. or its just ok to warm up and at the end of the session stretch??... I don't want to pull a muscle..

  • a suana suit works the best and some layers over that.

  • Comment removed

  • ls it better to use the treadmile in an non air-conditional room? because i dun really sweat after my workout. does it mean i did not burn any fats?

  • Hmmm non air conditional shud help lil bit but i dont think it really matters..I go to the gym..I sweat crazy after 60 mins of sum gud cardio but dats me...everyone's different, sum sweat alot..sum dont. Try gud intensive cardio like incline much higher than usual....c if u c sum results...nd drink lotss of water i mean lots of water......

  • sweating just means you lost water weight (or mass) no fat in sweat..be carefull though that you dont give yourself heat stroke.

  • yes u need to sweat jus make a cheap sweat suit with a trash worked 4 me and lost fast and kept it off

  • @TheOlboy17 You can't be serious right?

Please don't tell me that the weight you lost was Fat.

  • @ScrapZero yea ppls body jus work differently but i wouldnt recommend it doh

  • dude that guy can talk while running fast..

when i run i cant even look away from my treadmill.

or i would end up falling....-_-....

  • yeahh when you can carry a convo while running, you're in good shape

  • YO, how often shud i do this, he sed do it 10 mins but do i do that everyday??

  • 3-4 times a week is good enough.

  • u can do it everyday if your body is capable, if not start with every other day

  • I've been doing interval training for awhile to aid in my track meets, I do 1 mile warm up(its easy for me) then I keep that pace 30 seconds, sprint 25 seconds, jog 30, sprint 25 repeat til I can't do anymore, then I do jog 20 and sprint 15, gradually decreasing til a 5 second sprint then, I jog back home.

  • Good run :-0

  • does it help with your speed? i do track too

  • yea it does

  • top fat burning excersize after a week i see a slight improvement in muscle tone :D

  • were u big before and now ur toning ur muscles???.....coz am pretty big and i have some fat so i wanna lose it to look cut and i wonder if that exercise rly helps!....thnxs

  • both cardio and weight train to get a toned body and of course eat healthy.

  • how often do you do it?

  • It's because interval training also boosts your metabalism and you can burn fat up to 48 hours after te exercise if done correctly. By far the best exercise to loose weight.

  • I couldnt wait to comment on this and let you know if it worked.

my plan was to comment after Ive done this work out after a month

    its been 2 weeks

ive lost more doing this shit than when i was doing the steady pace i was doing before

    this shit works

i told all my gym friends about it

now I see everyone doing it because they are envious of my results

i didnt tell them i got it from a youtube vid, though.

  • I just learn about it. so far from normal cardio I lost 16kg ((from124to108)) now I will start Interval traning

and im hoping for the best.

  • were you doing it every day or just few times a week?

  • @anavywife28 how much did you loose:D?

  • @anavywife28 ...you are so correct!!!

  • @anavywife28 how many times did u do it a week?

  • @anavywife28 your slack give the man credit!

  • @anavywife28 How often did you work out? Every day?

  • You want to do your weight workout prior to your cardio - so your heart rate is already higher than normal. It aids in fat loss. Also you want to get into good shape before doing HIIT training.

  • BTW some treadmills allow you to "program" - LifeFitness, TechnoGym. You can program two speeds (jog and running) and by pressing a single button you'll switch between these two speeds. Really easy.

  • 10 lbs is enough.

  • wow do u kno how hard it is running while talking simultaneously? he did a pretti good job doin both

  • i try to mix my interval training up. i start off with 1 minute intervals then go to 30 second intervals at a faster speed.

i thinks its important to change your cardio every so often as to challenge your body and keep you motivated.

  • it works but it gets annoying pressing that button

  • @sniperboy102 Agreed, I got annoyed with it too, so i just ran outdoors instead.

  • @sniperboy102 If you press and hold the button it will scan to the speed or incline you wish to obtain on most treadmills. have a great workout and day. To our health.

  • @sniperboy102 ya fat is more annoying.

  • I think i'll do this outside, i'd kill my self on the tred trying to switch speeds so often, lol

  • lool its hard i tried it today

  • Actually hes doing it all wrong, your supposed to Spring then walk then Sprint.....1 star.

  • Why is it better to walk between sprints? ( or springs, haha)

  • Wrong. It all depends on your fitness. People that have excellent fitness can jog between sprints and that is enough for their body to recover.

    I do 1 minute on 12kph, then 45 seconds jog on 5kpm.

  • 30 on/30 off- DAMN, I thought I invented that. Other guys say to do a 45 sec sprint/90 sec recovery and I'd rather not do Calculus on the treadmill. Is it better to do interval cardio every day or 3 times a week?

  • How soon until a typical trainee loses as much muscle mass as you with your quack workouts? You are doing a tremendous disservice to anyone you come in contact with. If it was so "simple"your clients would not look like death.

  • Question...does he have a six pack or not?

  • I love Treadmill Trainer!
