Honestly, I don't have a "favorite" phantom, but all i know is I dislike michael crawford. He is definitely very talented, but i don't think he portrays the phantom very well. He's very out there, not as mysterious as i like the phantom acting. And his voice is slightly too nasally for me. Just my opinion. Both him and gerard are very talented. If you could combine the two, you'd have the perfect phantom. I also like Ramin, and Ben Lewis, who plays the phantom in Love Never Dies.

I love Crawford. His voice though slightly nasally when he speaks is strangely attractive. He is my first Phantom and I love his portrayal vividly. The movements although dramatic are beautiful and fluid. Perfect for a stage actor. When I talk about him when he plays the Phantom/Erik I call him ether Creepy Crawford or Ol’ Windbag. But this is said in a very affectionate manner. He’s prefect to play a the Phantom and he doesn’t have to strain for the high or long notes.

I know a lot of people say Crawford lacks sexuality, but his presence here is a powerfully sensual, etheral and mysterious one, which seems to draw upon a dark point of ourselves. He does this with a strong clarity, as opposed to purposefully sexing it up (Aka, Gerald Butler, who still delivered a good performance) There is something about this song and that man's voice. Takes you places.
