  • mi gusta de la musica, espesially the trumpeta. my heart is reminding me I heard these music before. its like a dance song which you will love before going to sleep. how relaxing.... may I know the name of the album? or the title of the music? por favor....

  • maiz/corn + Cockfighting = goodtimes

  • bring back those old days. filipinos could have been more meztisos today like telenovelas of marimar and luis mario if the galleon trade continued for more.

  • @rabisrabis No, bring back those old days of lakan dula when we were so prosperous and rich, and cultured, and more connected with our asian bretheren.

Seriously, are you a fucking white supremacist now?

Can't you see? Filipinos are now starting to realize the importance of our TRUE national identity which is HISPANIC. We love the natives and also advocate preservation of native languages and culture. Move on pal. Face the REALITY! The Chinese/Malay culture is not the dominating power in this country, bkit ba pinagpipilitan mo? Lumayas kayo dito! You are indeed mentally ill. I pity you. hehehehe

  • @ThtOnePinoy Ganun? And marami pa.

  • Even Jose Rizal has Spanish, Japanese and Chinese ancestors.

So expect Filipino culture is kinda mixed not purely defined.

  • @PEACEnum1 I hyperboled my comment a bit there, but I was replying to the guy who goes by the username of "orjm19979", his comment is in spanish, however he was basically saying that mexicans and filipino's are brothers, but that mexicans "unfortunately" kept a discrimination against spanish, and that filipino's "unfortunately" is suffering because we're preserving our original culture appparently. I probably translated it wrong, but it's due to machine translation, so expect some errors, lol.

  • oooh no wonder why there are many mexican in puebla that we called them chinos for their chinky eyes but hey my girl is filipino and im mexican we get along so well its like our culture is very similar im part spanish light skin and she has that golden tan skin love it

  • I noticed some similarities between meztizos and indigenous mexicans to the filipinos. good vid btw lol

  • @EZ3Xicano Gracias...mexicans and FI, have bonds of blood.

  • @EZ3Xicano I see more similarities among the Japanese Vietnamese Thai and Chinese with the Filipinos.

  • @orjm1979

    Bien dicho ¡

  • @orjm1979 We kept our original culture because we don't like spanish tyranny. It would be a disgrace to keep foreign culture and throw out our original. Even more, an insult to our national heroes... I don't know whether you wanted us to keep a culture which is not our own, but if you are, then fuck you. If not, and I translated you worng, then thanks for acknowledging us pinoy's strong sense of cultural integrity.

  • @ThtOnePinoy

Well our culture is PARTLY Spanish, American and Chinese.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Isult to national heroes? LOL Baliw. Bobo ka talaga. Rizal is a mestizo, same with other national heroes. They all lived a very hispanic way of life WITHOUT hating on the native culture of the tribes here. Rizal spoke in Spanish, traveled in many countries using a Spanish visa. His identity is Spanish, HISPANO FILIPINO with true love for the country, with respect to the pre-hispanic civilizations. Layas! Shooo...shooo..sho.... hehehehe

  • @ENGRdeus Yes you have no respect for our national hero, you would use his name just to win an arguement without checking your facts, Jose rizal was a polymath, and he was half chinese and half spanish, yeah you instult the fact I have part chinese blood, but does it mean shit? No, Jose Rizal had his mix of chinese too. Again, stop with your anti-asian hate, unlike me I don't hide, I hate the spanish empire, but I hate just about every empire out there, but modern Spain? I like them

  • @ThtOnePinoy LOL Stupid jerk. You're the one who's making BASELESS accusations here. Me? Anti-Asian? LOL Why would I? My country is in Asia idiot. And I am not insulting your Chinese roots. I know very well that Rizal has some Chinese blood, Japanese blood, etc. What I'm just trying tell you idiot, which you can't understand, is that Filipinas is not what you want it to be. Filipino culture and identity of the fusion of East and West, so stop that stupid HATRED over Spanish.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Don't talk about respect when you don't even know what respect is you imbecile fag! Just get out of my country and find some other places to demonize you ugly shithole-faced dunce! ACCEPT THE FACT! The Spaniards BUILT this country, kung icocompara naman sila sa mga Americano, Chinese, Japanese, Malay, etc. in terms of their contributions, they are BY FAR, TRILLIONS OF LIGHTYEARS AWAY, BETTER! than the sum of them all.

  • @ENGRdeus Hehe, you truly are ignorant about your roots. I bet you still think it was the Spanish who gave us gun weaponry, nope, it was China, our trade made many of our civilizations very powerful, and herp derp, they're very close to us, it's obvious.

Oh cmon, light years away? At least make sense in your posts, once again your hispanophile mentality will do you no good here, and once again, quit lying. Advocating cultural awareness doesn't mean it's spanish hate you dumb fuck...

  • @ThtOnePinoy Your posts are the nonsense ones idiot. The Spaniards are the builders of this nation. There WAS NO Filipinas before the coming of the Spaniards. There were only SEPARATE kingdoms, sultanates, tribes, ethnic groups. Got it? SEPARATE. They were NOT one country, they were FOREIGN to one another, as much as how foreign the Spaniards were to them during those times.

  • @ThtOnePinoy You are NOT advocating cultural awareness. It's misleading Filipinos about our TRUE NATIONAL IDENTITY which is HISPANIC. That's what you CAN'T accept. You are advocating HATRED towards everything Spanish like spreading stupid lies and baseless accusations against the Spaniards. It's getting clearer and clearer man hehehe You just want to ERASE hispanicity and Chinese/Malay culture to take control of the country. You are advocating DESTRUCTION of culture. GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY SUCKER

  • @ENGRdeus Omfg, and you think it's any different today??? Why then, are we still identifying ourselves as Kapampangan, Tagalog, Illokano, Maguindanao, Visayan, Warai, Cebuano, Maranao, etc....??? We are united politically, many nations under one roof. That's what you need to understand if you have any hope in understanding the Philippines and our culture. And fyi, nobody can guess what would happen if the span. had not come.

  • @ThtOnePinoy LOL BOBO ka talaga *laugh trip ako dito ngayon hehehehe* Before, the Tagalog, Kapampangan, etc. WERE not Filipinos. They only became Filipinos by accepting the king of Spain as their sovereign, by having been granted with Spanish CITIZENSHIP, something that U.S. refused to do. There WAS NO Filipino identity *hirap makipag-usap sa TANGA ah kailangan paulit-ulit hehehe* And that's it. No one could guess, so ACCEPT the FACT, the Spaniards came and BUILT this country.

  • @ENGRdeus Again, it's fact that the Spanish didn't build the country, they built on top of what was already there.

And accepting king of Spain? Oh you mean the huge number of revolts that have happened? Fyi they forced them to drop their surnames for spanish ones, I don't think they had much choice in the matter. Again stop with the lies you're insulting your ancestors and their memory...

  • @ThtOnePinoy LOL Drop their surnames? MANY settlers of the archipelago(I won't say Filipino since thy were still not Filipinos then, note that hehe) did not have surnames when the Spaniards came. hehehehe Stop making stupid lies bastard. hehehe *laugh trip talaga hehe* You're the one who's insulting them, you're insulting not just them, but also the heroes, and the modern day Filipino people hehehehe You know, lumayas ka na lang sa Filipinas, if you're here, if you find it hard to face the TRUTH

  • @ENGRdeus Wow you are really dumb, you are really misleading our countrymen you dipshit. Explain this link here.

    h t t p : / / w w w . bibingka . c o m / names /

Yes they did have surnames even long before, who told you they didn't? And as for the nation thing, just... lol, you keep misunderstanding the fact that Philippines is still a multinational country, it's not "one nation", it's a country of many nations, and we should be living in harmony, unfortunately dipshits like you exist...

  • @ThtOnePinoy And the concept of surname/family name STARTED in Europe in the 12th century. The Filipinos BEGAN adopting surnames in the 16th century DURING Spanish colonization. BEFORE this, the natives found ONE name adequate to meet their needs! Then During Claveria's visit to the majority of the islands, he observed that the natives in general LACKED invdividual surnames which distinguised them by FAMILIES that's why in 1849 a more systematic family name distribution was imposed peabrain crab

  • @ENGRdeus You lying little shit, dude, it's ok if you as the individual are confused as I don't give one shit about you anymore, I have COMPLETELY given up on you, but stop misleading our countrymen and ACTUALLY BACK YOUR SHIT UP FIRST, like what I'm about to do right here.

First of all, tell me what you see in this link

    h t t p : / / w w w . bibingka . c o m / names /

  • @ThtOnePinoy I don't know who that article but shit you call those surnames? LOL It's a complete assumption that those were "surnames", comparing it to the Old European custom hehehe Common sense fag, common sense! Those were rather titles, nicknames. Before the Spaniards came somewhere in the 1500's, MOST of the natives only had ONE name. Before you post shitty sources to support your lies, please, only post FACTUAL ones. Now, you tell the surname of Lapu-lapu cge nga! hehehe BOBO!

  • @ENGRdeus Lakan Dula, commonly incorrectly referred to as "Rajah Lakan Dula"(The Lakans never used Rajah, and both Rajah and Lakan are titles for a king), means "Lord-Palace". The video I sent you about the Kingdom of Luzon in which he ruled should've explained it well. It is often thought that the title "Lakan" means of a descendant of the gods, as in Kapampangan mythology, 2 gods use this title, Lakandanum and Lakandanup.

  • @ENGRdeus If that is true, it would make sense seeing as many other monarchies have done the exact same thing with their dynasties too.

Rajah Matanda, simply Rajah Matanda of Sapa I believe, Lapu-Lapu? You should know that not everyone in the archipelago had the same use of surnames, furthermore you're using ruler names as examples, which is totally irrelevant to the commoner names, use a different example, like that of a peasant. Very hard to find an example, but not impossible ;)

  • @ThtOnePinoy Just tell me the surname of Lapu-lapu you jerk hehehe Don't tell me Lapu-lapu of the Sea? or of the Rivers? or of the Sapa? of the Balon or Baha hehehe

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) and I know well enough of Claveria's Catalogue, the fact that I didn't acknowledge you making a comment about that at all was because you do far worse, you completely blow off Mike's article here on youtube about the kingdom of Luzon, despite the fact you acknowledge that such kingdoms existed.

Like I said, if you truly think you are fighting for the Spaniards, I wouldn't be surprised if they took it as an insult, you don't know how to have a productive debate.

  • @ENGRdeus Regardless, the main point is that the Spanish did introduce THEIR OWN concept of surnames, but they did not introduce surnames. Fyi I know you didn't read through the article, read through it before replying, you will understand one of the surname systems we had, I mean cmon, what's the point of criticizing the opposition if you don't even know WHAT to criticize? ;)

  • @ThtOnePinoy What you're talking about are rather just naming systems, but definitely those were NOT surnames. And if those were "surnames" based on how one's OWN oint of view(at present just because that people have already come to know what surname is). And going back to the issue, MANY ONLY HAD ONE name during the pre-hispanic times. And you said they were forced to drop their surnames? LOL Common sense idiot how can they drop something they didn't even have you bloody shithole? hehehe

  • @ENGRdeus You seem to fail at understanding... THE... PHILIPPINES... IS NOT... COMPRISED... OF.... ONE... NATION... BUT INSTEAD.... MANY ETHNICS/NATIONS....

thats what makes up our country, it isn't the hispanisms that made it that you constantly rave about like the hispanophile dog you are. It isn't even the chinese or malay that make up the backbone of us, rather, it's our different ethnics and the fact that we've been able to stay together without killing each other yet.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Philippines is a nations composed of many DIFFERENT ethnic groups yes that's true BUT to tell you again since you really seem to lack some brain, those different nations were UNIFIED and put into a nation called FILIPINAS. Do you even know how to read fag frog?

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) and especially before 1600(pre-hispanic times), we are already different people, we did not all share the exact systems every single time, this is fact. My arguement is a surname system did infact exist in the pre-hispanic Philippines, and even if there were some civilizations there that did not have surnames AT ALL, or even names in general, they would've evolved, this is also something that is bound to happen for those that did not, if there were, this is just an example

  • @ThtOnePinoy And by the way, alam ko naman, from the start that you are just mad that thise country didn't turn out as how you want it to be. hehehe You want this country to become a Chinese/Malay immitation, right? You want the surnames to become Tan, Go, Chua, etc.? I can see it, you're everywhere here. Like one video I saw and there was that debate among some Filipinos and other Asians about Filipinos being Asians and it seemed like EVERYBODY there was AGAINST you hehehe kaya ka ganyan hehehe

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) and which vid are you referring to? Seriously post the title of the vids you are referring to, I have already caught you lying with several "vids" that supposively "had everyone against me", at least, that's what you say, but you don't back your shit up, and this is why you always get caught trying to lie about me.

  • @ThtOnePinoy I give upon you I cannot argue with someone who has no brain and possessed by the devil. Such a waste of time talking to a shitheaded shitfaced. TROLL ALL OVER the cyberspace all you want with your diabolic claims and lies, besides it's you who's losing and gaining enemies no me hehehe You can write a million-page book here as a response if you want to please your evil mind but this will the last reply you could get from me. Filipinas is a HISPANIC country, live w/ that! ¡Adios! :)

  • @ENGRdeus HAHA FAG FROG? XD that's pretty funny.

So I have no brain, but despite that, I'm losing and gaining enemies at the same time? Hmm, never thought it possible, what an intersting character I have, and my ability to do that.

You can say unified, but that's all talk and politics, even the Chinese still ask what kind are you, same for us, Filipinos are not one nation, but a country of many stateless nations.

And once again, Philippines is an Asian country, facts are facts. Sayonara :P

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) You should learn from your friend, Breboyde. He got caught lying his ass off about me in the Hymno y bandera de filipinas vid, and he paid for it severely, the truth always comes out, we used to be friends but no more... Who cares, at least I know a lot of other spanish that are nothing like him.

  • @ThtOnePinoy I've been telling you what your PROBLEM is the WHOLE time but you still can't understand. Is it really that hard to ACCEPT the FACT, or you just DON'T WANT to accept it? hehehe You CANNOT FORCE the Filipinos to change their WAY OF LIVING, from the Hispanic one into pure Chinese/Malay culture which you keep on pressing to everyone. The pre-hispanic era is NOT Filipinas and would NEVER be Filipinas. We can ONLY be THANKFUL of its wonderful REMNANTS that still exist today. FACE IT! :D

  • @ENGRdeus Oh and just for clarification, since you seem to misunderstand what a surname is.

    From Dictionary . c o m :

    1.

the name that a person has in common with other family members, as distinguished from a Christian name or given name; family name.

    2.

a name added to a person's name, as one indicating a circumstance of birth OR SOME CHARACTERISTIC or achievement; epithet.

  • @ENGRdeus (continued)Hector Santos proves the fact that we already had our own form of surnames to begin with, one of the biggest reasons of this change was for "christianization", the portuguese did the exact same thing with the Japanese christians. A second change was due to the fact there was far too many filipinos were running around with the same saint names, and had to change.

  • @ThtOnePinoy And where do you think did the natives get those surnames derived from the name of the saints aber? From the Spaniards, right? hehehe Yes SOME might have second names, but ape, like what I said, those were rather nicknames or titles, just to describe family relationship with someone most of the time, definitely NOT surname. That's the pre-hispanic naming system that CHANGED when the Spaniards CAME and INTRODUCED the concept of surnames. Even try to research about Claverías catalogue

  • @ENGRdeus Again, post your sources here you hypocrite. I provided a good source, you have no real reason to deny it, because anything I will post you're just going to keep arguing because I posted it. Man up and give credit where credit is due.

Fyi, if you mean the Spanish system of surnames was never there, no shit, western and eastern systems are different, the Spanish surnames obviously wasn't the only system of surname.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Sources? You want sources? I gave one to you, use your eyes if you can't use your peabrain you bastard Anti-Spanish Auti. Do a research on Clavería's Catalogue, and you will find that MANY only had ONE name way back then before you spit your shits out your rotten mouth. And NEVER did I say that Spanish surname concept is the only one out there, I only said the concept STARTED in Europe in the 12th century you dumbass.

  • @ENGRdeus (continued)the last reason was due to the fact the Spanish Empire was not used to our own system of surnames, which takes a much different mentality than the west(meaning, it is neither harder nor easier than the west's concept, you just need to change the mentality a little bit). So they felt that taxing them and making citizens out of them would be far too complicated, so they decided to change all these native names. Speak of being lazy.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Own system of surnames? LOL Naming system you must say but NOT system of surname for the concept of surname WAS UNKNOWN in the archipelago not until the coming of the Spaniards. How can you be that stupid and ignorant por Dios santo? ¡Que lástima! hehehe Ngayon if you'll still insist, I challenge you, tell me the "surnames" of Lapu-Lapu, Humabon, Lakandula, Matanda, etc. make sure you post RELIABLE/FACTUAL sources huh. Stop FOOLING yourself and feed my people with your bullshit lies

  • Comment removed

  • @ThtOnePinoy The Spanish occupation demanded the Filipinos to CHOOSE a last name since the Filipinos used to NOT HAVE last names and the Spaniards found it hard to keep track of the tax. Each province was GIVEN a list of suggested last names (but others chose to MAKE UP their OWN last name) and this still sometimes helps the old people of the present determine what province one came from. The Spaniards BROUGHT the concept of surnames here you idiot Auti.

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) it's out of our boundries of what things could've happened in this case, all we can do is make guesses but they mostly are just opinions, like yours. If you didn't know, many of our kingdoms already had alliances, like the 3 alliance of the Kingdoms of Luzon, by Lakan Dula, Rajah Sulaiman/Mura of Maynila, and Matanda(I believe) of Namayan/Sapa. We already many many connections with our neighbors, even Ming China, so is it not possible? Again only a guess.

  • @ThtOnePinoy if the Spaniards didn't came, there were still those other colonizers, the British and the Americans(which actually did WORSE than Spain). That's why you have to ACCEPT it, the REALITY, Spain came and GAVE BIRTH to this country. And now, fast forward sa present times, Spain is helping FIlipinas fix the damages caused by the World War and U.S. WASPos. And one more thing you have to accept, the Chinese FAILED on their attempt to control the country, kaya wag ka na mangarap hehehehe

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) so telling filipinos of our ancient civilizations is misleading? Even you said yourself we had such things, do you deny that we had our own form of writing scripts? I will show you various pages right now. Do you deny how prosperous our ancient civilizations are? Why don't you check out the Surigaonon? They had many great ancient treasure, and are a good example. It is not me who's advocating destruction of culture, it is you, and you all along...

  • @ThtOnePinoy Again, I'll repeat, there WAS NO "our", NO "us", NO "we", NO Filipinas, NO Filipino, until the coming of the Spaniards and glued the entire archipelago and the SEPARATE communities living in it, together as ONE nation. hehehehe Slow ba o bobo na talaga? hehehehe

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) and btw, I don't know what respect is? I'm not the one using terms like "fag", "ugly shithole-faced dunce"

Spanish empire didn't build the Philipppines, they built on it of what was already there, herp derp everyone knows that even Spanish know that, again check your facts. And the facts being Philippines is an asian country, culturally and geographically,it's not what I want, it's what's actually there, and I honestly don't care if you're going to realize that or not :P

  • @ThtOnePinoy I'm applying those terms to you because you DESERVE it.

Check my facts? Right, mine are FACTS. Now you check your STUPID LIES and get yourseld checked by a psychiatrist. Do you think Filipinas would have its form it has today if not because of the Spaniards? LOL How ignorant! And what the fuck? hehehehe Geographically it's Asian. But the culture here is different from other Asian countries. Sure there are some influences from the neighbouring countries but Filipinas is HISPANIC

  • @ENGRdeus (continued) so again, you have to resort to lieing to even be able to argue with me, how pathetic :P

  • @ThtOnePinoy You're pathetic! Desperately wandering all over Youtube just to promote hatred over Spain and everything Spanish. LOL What a pity! hehehehe

  • @G1GAR0--- VIVA MEXICO HISPANO-¡

  • @G1GAR0---- jajaj mexico tierra indigena.

  • @enrykkke

    Es cierto, muy buen apunte.

    Por una Hispanidad Unida¡¡

  • spain discovered the island? that is full of bullshit, there's already people in the island, how did he discover it? if you say "discover" it means NOBODY else has and if there's a people in the island, the people in it discovered it first!

    another twisted history!

  • @TheAllannist yes discovered for the world.....¡

  • very nice video..btw..both countries do have similar culture..like the easter part where people beat themselves to repent or somehting..they do that in my town in Philippines,i was scared of them when i was little.having black covers on heads and barbs around legs or somehting and bleeding.and also the reenactment of Jesus crucifixion, guys get themselves nailed to get forgiven for their sins or just to prove their faith to God

  • as for filipinos,be proud of your race, but not too much that it makes it look like your showing off or implying your better than the others.I mean our country has a lot of problems too that they can they can talk shit about, its a no win win situation, there is no solution to it except war.

  • wats with the racism here.latin americans.wats with the racial comments. So what if the filipinos arent mixed spanish, doesnt mean you are better than them,so are you saying that your original native ancestors are inferior, that your glad they were raped(most likely)by Spaniards,to produce the present day mixed latinos?and no im not talking about the white argentinians who are white majority,im talking about the majority mexicans, cubans, puerto ricans who are mixed of spaniards or blacks.

  • QUE VIVA ESPAÑA,2010 WORLD SOCCER CHAMPION ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Wow for an educational video a lot of garnered comments come from hate of each others nationalities, hope you guys straighten out your priorities.

  • Actually, it was more like Mexico found the islas Filipinas... They sailed from Mexico and the Spanish document from Barcelona stated "el venturoso descubrimiento que los Mexicanos han hecho" or "the venturous discovery that the Mexicans have made"

  • HAPY DAY OF SPANISH LENGUAGE IN WORLD.the most speacked in earth , 450 millions , only after the Nandarin Chinese

  • rasenga042 I checked out your profile and your 18 years old. I'm pretty sure your younger, I don't fight with little boys/Baby's. If you keep it up, you'll force me to write to your mommy & daddy, so stop wasting my time I'm not here to wipe your nose and pad you on the back. I'm a 24 year old MAN, and your comments really don't make a lot sense. I really don't speak baby gberish, but if your still crying I'll send you a lollipop(sucker) to keep you busy. Bye, Bye!!
