All live performances on this show are synced, they force them to, its just the show that makes them do it.

@RainbowsixOperator not throughout the history of the show, but unfortunately during this period it is true, Top of the Pops would not allow their guests to play live. I respect bands like a-ha who made it obvious what was going on rather than try to mime convincingly - and Morten seems to find the whole thing difficult to take seriously! A-ha did get to perform live on some more recent episodes of TOTP before the program's eventual demise.
