Dana Carvey's half-hour series was heavily touted by ABC {and primary sponsor PepsiCo, the conglomerate behind "Taco Bell"} in March 1996, and scheduled at 9:30pm(et) on Tuesday nights [after "HOME IMPROVEMENT", a mistake in itself, because those viewers that watched Tim Allen didn't necessarily stay tuned for Dana's brand of comedy]. But Carvey's satiric jabs towards Taco Bell and their other products infuriated PepsiCo, and they pulled out after the fifth telecast. Two weeks after that...gone.
