I've had experiences like that, except in the reverse. Dark kids would mess with me for being light, and even some of my cousins on my mom's side would tease me. I have preferences for certain skin color, but I would never tease someone their color b/c I know how it feels. On a side note, with certain complexions there are certain colors that people shouldn't wear. I will never wear yellow because I'm already light and I don't wear too much black because I look more pale.

Everyone is beautiful and dark skinned people such as my self remind me of the true black beauty. Back in the day dark skinned people were considered more beautiful and light skinned people were considered ugly and they were out casts. The light skinned people were called usually mixed and they were considered white. Don't hate on dark skin because us dark skinned people are the original beautiful.

This is sad. Although I can't speak on being darker b/c im mixed w black and white, I hate to see fellow blacks tease each other for being dark. In my school they call it checking and they will say something like you so black ...blah blah etc. Yet they have black pride but tease others for being "too dark"

I've had experiences like that, except in the reverse. Dark kids would mess with me for being light, and even some of my cousins on my mom's side would tease me. I have preferences for certain skin color, but I would never tease someone their color b/c I know how it feels. On a side note, with certain complexions there are certain colors that people shouldn't wear. I will never wear yellow because I'm already light and I don't wear too much black because I look more pale.

im white with long frizzy horrid hair that falls out alot when i brush it,it is often to notty to get the brush through asnd i often leave it this was not a good idea when i had it permed the one time and found it harder to brush then usual so i used to do it as best as i can the one day i was feeling around the back of my head to my horror and total suprise ide grown to perfect thick long dred locks it took my good friend 4 hours to pick and cut them out needless to say i aint a perm fan no lol
