@pampampiro well doesn't it make sense to have a 52" tv with a console when you sit like 10 feet away from it and have a 19-24" monitor for a pc when you're just like 1 or 2 feet away from it? and u can get 3D ready monitors too, so you can play your pc games in 3D with nvidia's 3D vision which supports 100s of pc games without having to get any special game patches it just makes the games 3D and you can have 7.1 surround sound on a pc as well so.....

I agree with the peps saying Killzone 2 looks better, cause it really does. Crysis is a good looking game, but there just isn't enough content to even care about in the game, besides the space stuff and when the island turns to ice.
Look at it this way, if Killzone 2 was on PC, had AA, ran at 60 fps, in real HD, people would say it would kill Crysis. Killzone 2 on its own is a better game and looks way better. They engine in Crysis is amazing, the game isn't.
Crysis has awesome graphics but they show simple things almost all the time you are in a jungle and it doesn't have the destruction and the spectacular things killzone has the all the detailed destruction and different places and and stuff and big number of people shooting each other and destoying everything the things you do in crysis are easier to make with those graphics from the things you can do in killzone that has perfect graphics too and more thing to do.

Killzone 2 is the bst looking console game. Ps3 graphics are amazing. HOWEVER, it is obvious that an nvidia gtx 295(and if u dual it end of conversation), or a duel crossfire ati 5870 radeon, then obviously a pc game will look superior to a console. Crysis maybe at the end be graphically superior maxed out, but killzone 2 is a better game overall and a great online game as well.

Crysis has a great TOD system with sharp and clear real time shadows and diffuse lighting.
Killzone has the same, but put the extra mile into upgrading it, Killzone included indirect illumination and reflective lighting, something Cryengine 2 is missing.
In some way you are right and in some way you are wrong. Yes, the type of format doesn't really change the visuals but the higher the storage, the more you can store. And much of that data is for the games graphics.
Take Killzone 2. It has texture upon texture and that is what gives it the high-end look and all. That takes up alot of storage on the disc.
But PC's isn't really limited by the format since they have virtually no limit thanks to the internet.
ps3s cell is doing cg level visuals ingame from uncharted 1 all the way to killzone 2 your pc fangoggles wont let you see that cause you know these games ingame visuals could be crysis's opening cutscene, the cell is a supercomputer chip none of the chips you name are doing better than cell or else they would be doing cancer research or they would be making supercomputers or they would be doing rocket research,

PS3's cell is not better than a 150$ quad core CPU.

Honestly, I have both games, and I was pretty unimpressed with Crysis on a quad core machine with 8 gigs of ddr2 and a 1GB nVidia GT120 (I know it's not top of the line, but I play with about an equal number of setting on Gamer and on Enthusiast, 1024x768, no AA). For a $400 ps3 to outperform what was a $700 pc 7 months ago, and by a large margin, says volumes for the ps3. If I need a $1000-2000 pc to outperform a ps3 in graphical quality, then we still have a ways to go in pc gaming.

Killzone 2 has physics based WEATHER that Crysis doesn't have. Killzone 2 has ray-tracing on EVERY bullet hole and Crysis does not. Killzone 2 has PER PIXEL BLUR and physics on particles from gun fire...Crysis does NOT..

I agree with the peps saying Killzone 2 looks better, cause it really does. Crysis is a good looking game, but there just isn't enough content to even care about in the game, besides the space stuff and when the island turns to ice.
Look at it this way, if Killzone 2 was on PC, had AA, ran at 60 fps, in real HD, people would say it would kill Crysis. Killzone 2 on its own is a better game and looks way better. They engine in Crysis is amazing, the game isn't.

HOWEVER, it is obvious that an nvidia gtx 295(and if u dual it end of conversation), or a duel crossfire ati 5870 radeon, then obviously a pc game will look superior to a console. Crysis maybe at the end be graphically superior maxed out, but killzone 2 is a better game overall and a great online game as well.

Both games look Amazing, both games have insane graphics engines. Both games have grate physics engines and both of em are fun to play.

Crysis supports up to 16xAA, KZ2 has 2x-4x, depending on what's on screen.

In some way you are right and in some way you are wrong. Yes, the type of format doesn't really change the visuals but the higher the storage, the more you can store. And much of that data is for the games graphics.
Take Killzone 2. It has texture upon texture and that is what gives it the high-end look and all. That takes up alot of storage on the disc.
But PC's isn't really limited by the format since they have virtually no limit thanks to the internet.

Core i7 rapes the Cell. The Cell has one core @3.2ghz and seven SPE's which are now where near as good as CPU cores.
If the Cell had 8 CPU cores, the PS3 would cost more than 500$.

Honestly, I have both games, and I was pretty unimpressed with Crysis on a quad core machine with 8 gigs of ddr2 and a 1GB nVidia GT120 (I know it's not top of the line, but I play with about an equal number of setting on Gamer and on Enthusiast, 1024x768, no AA). For a $400 ps3 to outperform what was a $700 pc 7 months ago, and by a large margin, says volumes for the ps3. If I need a $1000-2000 pc to outperform a ps3 in graphical quality, then we still have a ways to go in pc gaming.
