I use a HK 330B connected to my PC through an external USB sound card, it sounds amazing. The radio reciever is unfortunately of little use in this concrete building :/ But I really enjoy this equipment anyway.
got a 330c few days ago for free and man it sounds good !! took the knobs off sprayed sum tuner spray in em and cleaned it up good and its now my main receiver !!
@shaunsstuff79 me too! i've had this since 1994 after finding it in the trash, it sat in my closet as i never thought much of it's small form factor, when i had bigger receivers to use. i made a big move about 10 years ago and this is all i was left with, . from 2001-2010 i am guilty of mainly using my computer for music listening, but it left such a negative impact, i got back into vinyl last year, and pulled this out of the closet. i'm VERY glad i somehow managed to hang on to this! Evan.
I used to have one very similar... and since the amplifier is built in then all you need is a phones jack to phono connection to turn this into a 'docking station' for ANY mp3 player including iPods!!!
WOW !!... already had the opportunity to see some other of your videos but seeing so in detail is better, you keep it in excellent condition and working 100%. Congratulations.
@bluenazz thank you, found it in the trash in 1994 when i was 11 years old. never really though much of it or used it until it became my main stereo last may. it's got a nice warm sound for being solid state. i've got it hooked up to two Sansui as-200 speakers, that are a perfect match for the power rating.
BTW, really enjoyed your "High End Audiophile 1970's Speakers " tear down. you had me for the first min or so lol
@gilmour509 That's a fantastic trash find because those old HK receivers are very highly rated. I have one myself and you don't see them very often. Thanks!
We don't have anymore 60's oldies staion on the FM..For such a large market like San Francisco it's a travesty. I like that KC remix on 94.3?Is the Steely Dan channel on 103.? and the Fleetwood Mac 106.? a classic hits or classic rock channel? Thanks for the upload.
@gilmour509 ahh, thats OK man..I don't want to put you through extra work just for that..I know how time consuming putting together these vids can be..
Were you wearing an Olde English 800 shirt when you recorded this?
