@Bondsback2325 Hey you caught that too? What a moron! " I saw you in Austria in 1988", what a jackass! At 1:01, I think Roger says to him "you must not be a BIG Pink Floy fan" or something like that, and then the Moron asks why, and Roger says to him "I left Pink Floyd in 1985!",, and all the jackass could say was "I apologize". It just proves another aspect of the concept behind the Wall, that Pink Floyd were so faceless to some fans that anyone could be up there and it wouldn't matter.
Roger probably thinks the guy that saw him 8 times is a stalker like Chapman. This seems kind of creepy especially after what happened to Lennon. But I guess Rog has armed guards somewhere.
I know a guy that saw all but a handful of the shows in the whole WORLD. He saw it something like 65-70 times. He was cool though, wrote up a nice blog about it and the people he met/knew along the way.
I don't get why Waters and Gilmour act the way they do when signing autographs. Why can't they take 5 minutes and thank the crowd for buying PF albums and going to PF concerts. Instead, they just ignore the people. But, I must admit that guy who mentioned GOONERS, that guy should of been shot.
@motokev Hey, at least they are stopping and signing autographs. I've never seen any of the tools that are "stars' today stop to sign anything. Just try and get an autograph from J-Ho or "just-in" beaver, and you'll see what I mean. Oh and remember what happened to John Lennon cuz he didn't have bodyguards and he stopped to sign that tool's album? To be exact, he got shot after he signed the album ( a few hours after), but you get my point, right? You never know who is a nut case.
id ask him why he got such a big ego and ruined the band dave gilmour is the heart of floyd hes the most talented musician out there his voice is way better too...hed pry remember meetin me too more than all the other people ridin his dick lol
Sure. David Gilmour is a great singer, and excellent guitar player (probably the best in the world). But without Roger's music and lyrics to sing or play, they would have gone down hill. Which they did. Their "prime" was the 73-86 era where Roger did 99% of the writing, instead of Gilmour's girlfriend. I always say that I am a Roger Waters fan. Not necessarily a Pink Floyd fan. I can't and don't listen to anything pre-darkside or post final cut. Roger's solo work is amazing to
Just passing thru and landed on this vid I am embarrassed to even watch these punters idolize and make fools of themselves with these autograph requests.
I mean really ...
What does an autograph do /mean ? proof that you met the guy , something you can drool over every night ?
@sturoc0 Ha! I totally agree. It's always embarrassing to me to watch people worship and idolize someone. It's like they're true inferiority complex is revealed.
@sturoc0 I've talked to Nick Mason on the phone when he was on Rockline in April, 2005 and asked him about his Fictitious Sports album. I also got a reply from David Gilmour on a webchat in January of 2002 asking him about the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity which works with the disabled. Both very gracious. If I met Roger, I'd probably shake his hand and (if I had anything signed) to personalize the autograph. Shame I never met Rick Wright nor Syd Barrett in any way but their music.
at what time of day was this filmed? at what location in the city? I am attending the denver show and i need to know all the details of how to meet him.
You know it's a FAIL when you tell RW that you saw him in 1988 during a Pink Floyd tour and he responds with.... "I wasnt in Pink Floyd then. You cannot be a huge fan if you didnt know that!"
Awesome vid iflyc77, I am extremely jealous that you got to both see the show and meet the legend himself.

Oh FFS... who was the guy that told Roger he saw him with Pink Floyd in 1988???????
I can't believe Roger replied calmly "I wasn't there, I left Pink Floyd in 1985".
He is certainly in control of his darker side now, I would have made the guy wear the bass as a hat on his head.
