Use the textchanged event of the text box and in the select command embed the text box.text in the where criteria then clear the data set and then fll the dataset again .

Ttextchanged raised up every single time charchter inserted into the text box i did it like 6 years ago on vs 2003.

You also can do itin the combo box selected value changed i did it 5 weeks ago and users loved it so much coz it's fast and dynamic.
