Youre great!!!! This is so much help, getting ready to take my MBLEx, Wish some of my schools instructors taught like you! It makes so much sense, and easy to understand :)
Thank you for all these invaluable, interesting & well explained lectures. Neurophysiology (as also neuroanatomy) is really a nightmare for most medical students (and I' m not the exception...) Please keep up this great work; it's an additional knowledge resource...
I am so glad that I found this before my exam on Wednesday! 1 hour on here, has helped me to understand and make sense of an entire terms worth of lectures!!
Right from the begining of the first part(1) video i already knew a lot more than I did in my one session lecture in class. And that was because my teacher was rushing through the processes. Now were going to have a big test on it and i thought that one lesson wasn't going to help and i'm glad i found this!! I wish you were one of my teachers., thank you very much for your videos, and please do keep it up !!!! A LOT OF HELP, thnk you
question...in terms of the "rate of transmission" of the impulses: I thought you said that "no matter how wide you make the diameter of a fiber it will not be as fast if its not myelinated...right? So shouldn't that be the FIRST factor to determine rate of transmission
This is so much better than the way my instructor teaches it; not a lot of 'unnecessary' information but clear, concise information that I can understand. Thank you so very much!
I can tell that you are such a good-hearted man and most of all an excellent teacher!! how wonderful it is to make a diffrence like you. keep up the good work!! Thank you for inspiring me!

1.) Whether Myelinated or not THEN...
2.) Diameter of nerve fiber
or does it even matter?
uche1012 2 years ago
According to my text book myelin is what determines whether or not an impulse travels quickly or not.
So, I'm guessing that diameter is a secondary factor.
