  • Private road to seclusion?

Is it public or private? If you were Colored back then, it could mean, the choice of road you turn down on could mean life or death.

  • One of those brilliant 70s films that might one day get the credit it deserves.

  • They need to do an even scarier, gorier remake of this, with a very much more graphic sacrifice scene. Okay, get Marilyn Manson to play the high priest. Who do we get to play the two couples? And have a really kick-ass rock n' roll soundtrack.

  • @superhornet69 Awesome satire. : - )

  • @superhornet69 I strongly disagree. Nothing entertaining about gore. The reason older movies were so much better is because the focus was on story content. They need to stop remaking good films and consider trying to remake bad ones

  • 36'000 dollar motorhome haha thats dirty cheap by today standards . wish one nowdays was thet cheap

  • That's my hometown San Antonio, cool!! :)

  • the guy that says, "you have a good time mr stewert you hear" looks like one of them.

  • Color TV?, Four channel stereo? What is this magical, futuristic utopia?!

  • Now that's how you run a business!

You can smoke INSIDE and have pictures of calendar girls hanging where the customers can see them.

Makes me ashamed to be part of this faggoty-ass, nanny state age we're in now!

  • It's Franklin from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s yea that is Franklins fat ass. good eyes.

  • Is that chubby guy Franklin from Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

  • OMG! It's Angelique! I mean, Lara Parker. I love 'em both.

  • I thought Loretta Swit was waaaaay more attractive-looking before she went off the deep end with all of that plastic surgery she had midway thru her M*A*S*H years.

In fact, she probably never looked better (face and hair-wise) than she did at about the time this movie was made (1975).

  • yeah, give satanist a break a'ight!

  • Remember SATAN IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS

  • back then yellow pages -no google

  • The creepy thing is, when they made this flick, actual satanists were drawn onto the set by instinct to act as fillers

  • The creepy thing is, when they made this flick, actual satanists were drawn onto the set by instinct to act as fillers

  • @evilunixuser1 That's interesting, where did you hear that?

  • real satanists are not the stereotype that everyone thinks there not violent crazy or evil some of them even see the devil as a mascot of dark human nature

I was scarred shitless. But is was kinda cool...

  • Holy Shit!

    It's Major Margaret Houlihan!

    (M.A.S.H)

  • This move scared me at 10 years old. The RV also reminds me of thet TV Series "Three for the Road," with the Father and his two sons traveling the country. These days, the dad would have an Amber Alert on his ass.

  • @beautydaddy loved THREE FOR THE ROAD!!!

  • Cracking movie......................there are people out there, the old religeon, they need too be watched.

  • They butchered the living crap out of this when they made it 'safe' for TV viewing. It looked like half of the movie was gone unnecessarily when I caught it on a local TV station one Saturday afternoon.

  • no remake needed peter fonda is the shiiiit

  • SGT. HULKA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was a great Illuminati Movie. Needs to be a Remake

  • Illuminati?

  • @tehutiheru I'd love to see that!

  • i rented this movie and crazy larry dirty marry once

    they was iight pretty good

  • Which one is 'Delbert'? That's played by Clay Tanner, who was satan in Rosemary's Baby.

  • 6:48 I guess that in '75, a glimpse of this guy's flat chest and flabby stomach was supposed to be a thrill for somebody.

Considering the lingering and loving attention to the motorbikes and camper, this was not exactly aimed at an elite demographic. Reminds me of 'Spetters', also a dirt bike exploitation flick from the seventies. At least there, we get to see Rutger Hauer comparing 'penissen' with two of his friends.

  • WOW I havent seen this movie in years since i was a little girl back in the 1970's. I love Peter Fonda , Jane Fonda Brother and Henry Fonda son. This picture is a classic without blood and gore and it was quite scary . They dont make movies like these any more to people to enjoy.

  • The harpsichord part in this music is fantastic :)

  • This movie is a real 1970's classic!! I havent seen this movie since i was a little girl. Peter Fonda was a great actor in this movie with Loretta Swift from MASH tv series.

This movie is enjoyable with out being to explicit and gory. Thank you for this movie.

  • wow! watched this on the late late show when i was a kid!!

  • This movie creeps me out... Me and my uncle were wood cutting and found two small dogs skinned and gutted, and where hanging in a tree by thier intrails...this movie is scary to me in ore ways than one

  • Thank you for posting this and Salem's Lot

  • This movie is a classic, I havent seen the movie since i was a kid back in the 1970's . This was real entertainment without blood or gore. I like Peter Fonda son of late actor Henry Fonda and sister Jane Fonda.

During this era had a drug problem but beside that he was a great actor in this was one of my favorite movies.

I 'll definetly will get it on dvd.

  • This movie is a classic!!! I havent seen this movie in years since I was a little girl wow.

This was Peter Fonda's best movies, His father was the late Henry Fonda and his sister is actress Jane Fonda.

I remember reading a long time ago that he had a drug problem during the 60's and 70's, but otherwise i enjoyed watching him and Loreta Swift from tv sitcom MASH fame.

    That for the move

  • This was one of the first horror movies I watched in the cinema, in DK it was 'djævelsk terror' and it certainly was.

  • This move is a classic!! I used to watch this movie when i was a little girl in the 1970's and we didnt need guts blood and gore to enjoy a movie.

Peter Fonda and Loretta Swift and the rest of the cast were great.

Peter Fonda father was the late actor Henry Fonda and his sister is actress Jane Fonda.

During the 1970's Peter Fonda was a drug addict.

But beside the point this was one of the best movies he made

    Thanks for this movie!!!

  • love the music

  • good film havent seen it for a long time 20 years to be exact lol thanks for uploading

  • @kendofiend I haven't seen it in 35 years when i was 7 yrs old. It was scary back then and still is!

  • Thank You for posting this movie. This is the first time i'm ever seeing this movie but i heard very good things about it. I will get the DVD.

  • Peter Fonda was kinda' hot!

  • Remember watching this on tv as a kid. Pretty scary back then! Part of the great horror double-bills that were shown late-night Saturdays on BBC during the summers of the 70s/80s.

  • oh my god, didnt yeh just love those saturday night horror double bills!? Then, there was The Hammer House Of Horror, which the entire series is posted on Youtube. Showing our age hey? lol

  • @tonythetyger99 yeah i used to love watching saturday night horrors on the BBC back in the 80s after cagney and lacey & sportscene (match of the day in England)

  • Thank you for posting this, have not seen it in many years.

  • its on dvd? I heard the film was released to showcase the then new type of recreational vehicle that the couples use. Its a little bit like the "Brotherhood of Satan".

  • Thanx for this.....great thriller. Road movie horrors are the best.

  • Fox has this out on video now? I heard that the film was released to showcase the then new recreational vehicle the couples use . The film makes a good counterpart to The Brotherhood of Satan.

  • Its funny to see Lara Parker running away from horror instead of creating it. Remember when she was Angelique, the witch from dark shadows?

  • Thanks so much for posting this movie! We really enjoyed it.

  • Spectacular Stunts! These are some of the Best Stunt Scenes from 20th Century Fox up to this date! Thase are Real Stuntman & Real Stunt Cars!

  • Finally got to see the beginning - never seen the start - thanks for posting a great film

  • Those devil cult / witch movies were huge in the late 60's and early to mid 70's. Hollywood, England and Italy pumped out tons of them. Both the popular and the B-grade. People ate that shit up. lol

  • gran pelicula

  • Opening music doesn't get any creepier or more spine-tingling!

  • One of my favorite movies,. Caught it one day flipping channels and ended up watching the whole movie. A great 70's horror/action flick.

  • Much of the advanced technology (Like Mobilephones) has ruined today's Horrormovies plotlines.

I think that's why old horrormovies functions better with payphones and older technology...

    Just an opinion =)

  • Yes I agree, not to mention that the fashion styles of the 1970's made escape a lot harder! Plat form shoes and bell bottom pants are much

    tougher to run in.

  • Awesome post.Very scary. They knew how to scare you back then.

  • great movie thanks for the post. I was 9 when this came out and I wanted to see it at the movies but it was rated PG. I was only allowed to see G rated movies at the time. When Jaws came out my mom made an exception to the rule and i was able to see jaws. which made my sister made because she had to wait tell she ws 13 to se pg movies and i got to at 9.responsible parenting. something you dont see much of today.

  • I dont get american film classification you know in england the films are u, pg, 12, 15, and 18. Now in england if a film is a 18 certificate that person cant get into see the film unless he or she is 18 how is it in america could a small kid just walk into a horror film and go see it in the cinema ?

  • Because some kids were allowed to watch scary movies as youngsters (like me) and now can't be scared that easily. Seriously, people nowadays over here in America scream when lights fail or a book slams. It's terrible. I was born in Bosnia at a time when grenades fell throughout the night, that might be why loud noises don't scare me.

  • Over here in America a movie can be X-rated, then you have to be older than 18 (or 21, depending on state). A kid can only see a rated R (17+) movie if accompanied by somebody 17+

  • @tonymontana1974 we have ratings too... G- general audience (everyone) PG - parental guidance PG 13 - parental guidance not recommended for under 13 R- restricted for anyone under 17 (unless accompanied by an adult) and X - usually porn, but sometimes extreme horror (can't see unless you're >18 and they don't play these in regular theaters)
