  • i think roygbiv would go better to skiing/snowboarding. seems more relaxed than skating. and yes i skate and ski and ride (and surf and...)

but yea, i've always though a snow part would be such a good fit with this song

  • the radiohead song isn't a rip-off but it is definitely similar with the bassline. they definitely listened to roygbiv and were inspired by it. it's not like it's some huge coincidence or something

  • There are TONS of songs that use similar sounding/textured analog bass lines. To say that that "All I Need" is a rip-off of "RoyGBiv" is asinine. And even if it was influenced by it, which I sorta doubt it is, why is that a bad thing?

  • haha that videos well good.

i always though this song would go well with some footage.

    very impressive shredding.

  • that wa sthe shit, a life in the day of some skaters

  • haha that's the biggest bullshit I've heard about Radiohead. Go and play a bassline, reverse it and see how much like Roygbiv it sounds. (I've ended up with it...) plus the Roygbiv tune has more of a direction and a proper ending to the phrase, whereas "All I Need" is more of a lo-fi happening in the background, just ambling along to his voice. they're both good, go and complain about coldplay if this sort of argument gets you going...Radiohead don't deserve hate (hah ok the drums are similar)

  • I always imagined what this song would be like in a skate vid, and now i know :)

  • No disrespect to the video. Good stuff Ellie.

  • The radiohead song sounds absolutely nothing like this. So there's a baseline, and a hip hop beat.

I love BoC, and I love Radiohead. But to say radiohead ripped this song off is just ridiculous.

  • sick video to a sick song. good job.

  • yeah, accept it guys, "All I Need" sounds like this. It's obvious

  • Good shit guys.

  • you guys make me happy

  • yeah after i heard this song in radioheads new album i was like waht!

i think the boards of canada version is much better lol prolly cos i heard it first haha

but i do love radiohead, i just dont like what they did with this song.

  • 'All I Need', as well as other parts of In Rainbows were definitely influenced by Boards of Canada. They didn't rip off BOC though, I'm sure BOC is flattered! Wouldn't you be?

  • Actually, BoC has refused to work with Thom Yorke, if anything, they're pissed off.

  • Oh, Enig, do you know them? Or do you just enjoy making completely fabricated claims about other people's thoughts.

  • what the ? radiohead's sounds NOTHING like this.

  • nice video!

  • good skating. good vid.

All I Need sounds nothing like

  • i love Radiohead, but um...no. you're wrong. go now. leave this place.

  • wow, radiohead's 'all i need' was (ahem) influenced by this. haha. both are good, anyway. wow.

  • I added this video to my favorites because I wish I still had that many friends to session with. Word of advice. Don't let your friends quit skating because when your 23 you'll only have one that still does.

  • wow you ruined this song with your frontside 180s and generic little kid style.

  • roygbiv = red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet

  • I always skateboard to BoC.

  • I agree with the other comments. I was very surprised with how well the song worked with the video.

    HAHAHA Skateboards of canada!

  • alrite, skate boards of canada. i get it

  • wow...BoC worked surprisingly well for this

  • This music is perfect for the job. Your cuts could use some improvement, though.

  • This vid is the best i've seen in a while, superb use of Boards Of Canada

  • Awesome video man. Great boarding.
