  • Some of the greats in the same picture at the end including Louis. Dead but spirit is well alive

  • Joe Louis is underrated. One of the greatest boxers ever.

  • Joe Louis is the best heavyweight boxer ever, bar none. Most title defenses, longest reign, the best and most accurate punching along with unparalleled timing and defensive techniques. Surely, Joe loses to a small handful of other heavyweights in history, styles make fights and no boxer is unbeatable. But on the other hand, Joe also wins against most other heavyweights in history. He has the least fundamental weaknesses and the highest number of advantages in his favor.

  • Joe Louis would be a hero among ancient Greeks and Romans, the ones who invented this sport. He'd be a folklore story lol.

  • XxMrbobbinsxX you a dumb fuck JOE FRAZIER AND ALI THE BEST......all dat other shit u sayin is stupid shit dumb ass

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJoelouisbarrow No no, he just beat Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Liston, Patterson, Spinks, Lyle beacause he was bad. Come on..

  • Joe Louis is among the all the time greats. It's a shame how America at that time treated him.

  • @Streetdragon100 Yes it is, however when America went to war Joe signed up. What a hero!! Look at cowardly Ali the draft dodger. a zero.

  • @Trashfished The difference between the war Joe Louis fought in and the war in Vietnam was that WW2 was meant to stop Hitler and the Nazis from ruling all of Europe. The war in Vietnam however was staged. It's well documented that the attack on the Gulf of Tonkin never happen. Also during that time America was asking blacks to fight for freedom in Vietnam when they didn't want to give blacks here in America equality. So in a sense both Ali and Louis are in fact heroes just in a different way.

  • @Streetdragon100 Communism was stopped in its tracks in East asia then. Dont you realize the USSR was just as evil as hitler?? Besides you cannot have your citizens cherry pick when they serve. your asked, your fit, yougo. No questions asked. period. If not you dont deserve to live here. Ali would not have seen action ,however his appearences would have been very good for the enlisted mens morale. Ali chose to stay in his mansion with his lavish lifestyle selfishly. Ali=coward. period.

  • I agree Joe in his prime would be the best heavyweight ever

  • 1:06 is Schmeling saying hello to Louis? Nice to see them togehter!

    Joe Louis total humless !

  • @Camauu they were friends i got a book of it

  • @MrJoelouisbarrow Yeah, i never saw a picture before but im aware that Max helped Joe with his financial troubles and helped to pay his funeral (not sure if the last thing is true, but defenitly a rumor)

  • Anybody who puts Alì ahead of Joe Louis is nothing but a bandwagoneer with zero common sense, zero knowledge of how complex it is to be a boxer. Joe Louis had the total package, inside and outside, mastered well all of the punches. Alì will tell you this himself....

  • Probably the hardest puncher with both hands of all time.

  • @landersbrian0 Dunno about the hardest but he definitely is the best puncher ever. Very accurate, efficient and well timed. Louis is the best heavyweight ever in my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • Joe Louis left no room for speculation. No phantom punch, no bogus calling. He knocked u on ur ass. He was champ for 11 years and 7 months and his record is still unbeaten. Tell me whose the greatest? Holmes is a joke. Marciano was a bum. Tyson was all brawl and no brains. Ali was a strategic fighter with inbelievable stamina. Frazier heart is made up of something we havent discovered yet..they are all great fighters, I take nothing from them. But they cant hold a candle to the great Joe Lewey!

  • Louis had that one punch knockout..he knocked people out of the ring. He will always be #1. Ali is the great as ever but Ali will always be a step behind Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson. R.I.P to them both.

  • great tribute, but who the hell chose the music for this video?

  • I like dat swag at 0:56 seconds

  • Louis > Ali

  • Ali beat* :D

  • Rocky is better than Louis i will say. And Muhammad Ali is the greatest, because of those oppents i beat, was like bears and tigers.

  • @aliaslamacm what about Ray Robinson and i wouldnt say Rocky is better then Louis but Rocky is a BEAST!

  • rocky marciano is the most overated man ever with bruce lee and brock lesnar

  • This Joe vs Joe Frazier? :p

  • see how Max Bear literally spun 360 when Joe hit him,and Bear was a very good fighter..

  • Louis is really great! But come on? He is no Muhammad Ali.

  • @aliaslamacm And why not? He beat opponents just as great, was just as good a fighter, and lived in an era that had more hatred towards blacks. He had a long career also with legendary fights.

  • @aliaslamacm you could say Ali was no Louis, remember,Joe was the longest reigning HW champion ever!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @aliaslamacm shit

  • Comment removed

  • @aliaslamacm Of course he's no Ali, he's Louis, a whole different beast.

  • @aliaslamacm your right, he's no muhammad ali............HE'S FAR BETTER!

  • shmelling disliked this

  • I miss them days when life was without internet phones and all that stuff look at Joe that chopping wood this is such nostalgia.

  • Heavy weight boxers, I would rate (#1 ) Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano they were pretty even as fighters. Ali was more mouth than fighter he would be rated much lower. John L. Sullivan was one of the greatest fighters ever with over 450 wins to his credit.

  • @troyshereforu - I agree John L. was a great fighter, but, where the heck did you hear that he had 450 wins?

  • @1899sharkey I read his biograghy and book, He was known as the BOSTON STRONGBOY..... he was the very first gloved professional prize fighter and the last bare knuckle fighter ...... he was the first boxer to win over 1 million dollars in his career..... if you check out Wikipedia you can get a lot of information on him...... there is also an old movie about him and his career ......

  • marciano is one of the best

  • whats the name of the song

  • dont put this music on for this gr8 boxer show some respect and give him some rocky music or sum shit

  • Great video. Love this. Thanks for posting. maurice

  • shit song

  • One of the best ever. R.i.p joe lewey

  • top 3 among Ali and Tyson

  • this song go hard

  • He seems to have always fought at his own pace. When he got swarmed, he just stood his ground like a brick wall and when he finally found his momentum, he never relented. He just seemed to alway fight his own fight. Psychologically he seemed unyielding. And unyielding were also his his punches! He just rapidly positioned his fists on his opponent. The power of his punches didn't come from the forward motion. It came from the utter and absolute lack of backward motion!

  • Please someone tell me the name of the song ... ??? !

    Loved it

  • @NabilXIII Fag enabler

  • @NabilXIII i can ride my bike with no handlebars

  • Joe Louis was good but he was not in the league of Tyson,Frazier, or Foreman...Im sorry to say that ...all he fought were chumps...and Ali would of make Louis look like a chump..He was the best boxer of that time but there was nobody good...

  • @Ztnarf1985 Strange that you can believe that you can compare them. You should have more respect for the Ring Legends.

  • @sugarraygras I said that a while ago I have watched a lot of fights and I have researched and studied more on boxing Joe louis was a legend for sure

  • @Ztnarf1985 Fairplay. Peace.

  • 27 title defences....amazing

  • Great boxer, stupid song

  • Joe Louis is probably the greatest boxer of all time. I would rank Joe Louis number ONE and Ali number TWO.

  • @jennifer8970 is TRUE

  • Comment removed

  • @jennifer8970 And where do you put Sugar Ray Robinson? Even Ali said that Robinson was the greatest, according to him, the only one better than himself pound for pound!

  • @NabilXIII Of course he said that, Robinson was his idol after all. I would say the same about my idol even if I knew I was ranked higher. I place Ali above Robinson because he faced and beat the better opposition during the best heavyweight era of all time.

  • @jennifer8970 You may be right ... But i still believe than Robinson was a better fighter. He also faced amazing fighters in his prime, and he fought way more... Any way we'll can't find a answer to such a complex question.

    :)

  • @jennifer8970

    I have Ray Robinson #1.

  • @jennifer8970 i would rate Ray Robinson above him, with Jou Louis second greatest.... Roberto Duran 3rd greatest

  • @jennifer8970 I with you here with one exception.

    1. Jack Johnson

    2. Joe Louis

    3. Muhammed Ali

  • @CHC4669 What about Rocky Marciano? The guy never lost a fight in his whole entire career and he beat Joe Louis.

  • @mateusz005 Rocky Marciano was nothing but a Bum.. His unbeaten record is a joke. He fought a bunch of washed up bums "even his brother or cousin" several times and when he beat Joe he was way past his prime. He would have never beaten Joe Louis in his prime never. He was the equivalent of a Gerry Cloney a flat footed slugger with no boxing skills what so ever. And we all know what Larry Holmes did to that Bum. Joe Louis would have beaten him even worse.

    Enough said!

  • @CHC4669 Marciano was a bum??!!WHAT!!That is a VERY VERY EXTREMELY fucking stupid thing to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!only a damn fool would say some stupid shit like that!!!!

  • @onlyjoetee Well I don't think I'm a damn fool but I stick with my original comments. Marciano wasn't nothing he fought washed up fighters and hand picked bums "again his cousin & brother" He was an over rated flat footed non-skilled BUM. Now what else the fuck you got to say. He was a BUM.

  • @CHC4669 Your comment is so far fucking stupid and ignorant its not even worth bothering with.No heavyweight alive in the entire world could beat this man in his time,NONE anywhere, and this was in the days when there was only one belt!!does that sound like an unskilled bum to you? Please stop embarrasing yourself!!

  • @onlyjoetee Well he would have defintely could have beaten his brother who he fought several times under facticious names. It's funny how you avoid the fact that he fought his brother several times under facticious names to pad his record. Why won't you address this issue you avoid it like the plague cause it will tarnish your bullshit belief. You're the one that's fucking stupid he was a fucking BUM.

  • @CHC4669 If i say to you, there is a sprinter today, and NO sprinter alive can outrun him, would you call him a bum?if i say there is a tennis player today,NO tennis player anywhere can beat him, would you call him unskilled?if i say to you there is a golfer today NO golfer alive can beat him would you call him a bum?Fucking idiot...

  • @onlyjoetee There's tons of fighters that would have beaten this BUM. Ali would have beaten the shit out of this BUM. Just toyed with him and made a fool out of him. Larry Holmes would have beaten his ass just like he did his clone Looney Clooney. Larry holmes would have beaten his slow unskilled ass all over the ring. George Forman would have destroyed his sorry ass. Joe frazier would have killed this Bum. Tyson would have knocked his fucking head off. Need I say more. He wasn't shit.

  • @CHC4669 Marciano had perfect balance, amazing defense, bone crushing power in both fists, endless stamina could probably go 40 rnds Foreman couldnt breathe after 3 LOL and a relentless windmilling style, that NO ONE could get away from, not to mention a granite jaw!Muhammed Ali himself has admitted publically he could not handle this man,you are either very stupid or just ignorant about boxing,Tyson Forman Holmes all knocked down people who got back up,when this man dropped you,you stayed droped!

  • @CHC4669 what the fuck has Jerry Cooney got to do with marciano? That alone shows how IGNORANT you are of boxing.Cooney was a one fisted fighter with a suspect chin who didnt have a 10th of Marcianos ability. The closest comparison to Marciano would be early Tyson.but longer lasting,Marciano was a 15rnd fighter,Tyson never KOd anybody after rnd 7 in his whole career,Marciano stalked and cut the ring off FAR better than any HW yet, there was NO getting away from the windmill,!YOU dont know shit man!

  • @onlyjoetee Cooney was a modern day Marciano flat fooded plod away trying to land one punch. As I said before Larry Holmes would habe beat the shit out of Marciano. Holmes said on live broadcast Marciano couldn't have carried his jock strap and he was right. You still have answered the question of him fighting his brother and cousin under ficticious names which padded his bullshit record. There's a reason why you won't answer that amd that is because you know it's true. Marciano was a fraud.

  • @CHC4669 How many opponents did Marciano have?how many were his cousin sister or auntie i dont know,i do know this, when he hit you,you fucking knew about it,and when he put you down you fucking stayed down, and thats for fucking sure!!

  • When R U going to answer the question of Marciano fighting his brother and cousin under ficticious names?

You won't address that because it is widely known that's what he did and you can't dispute the facts so you caefully avoid it with bullshit. You are full of shit that's what you are. Answer the fucking QUESTION or shut the FUCK UP. Marciano was a fraud period. But no need to worry you aren't going to answer that cause you know it's true. Now shut the FUCK UP IMBECILE.

  • @CHC4669 Agree Marciano wouldn't be able to beat Ali. Ali would stop him on corner or ref stoppage or decision him. Ali was way too conditioned and amazingly quick for Marciano, not to mention too ahead in time of Marciano in terms of style. And onlyjotee just because Ali said he would struggle with Marciano does not mean he would, if thats what its about look at this....Archie Moore who fought both Ali and Marciano said that there was no way for Marciano to beat Ali.

  • @jennifer8970 Well you're absolutely correct he would have never beaten Ali. When people speak of the greatest heavyweights there are only three that truly rank. 1. Jack Johnson 2. Joe Louis 3. Muhammed Ali sure there were other great fighters but these are the three who would be crowned greatest of all time. Pay no attention to onlyjotee with the Marciano non-sense. Those who know, know his unbeaten record was nothing more than a prop and a fraud. He was the Great White Hope, & nothing more.

  • @CHC4669George Foreman had NO stamina,Joe Frazier was one handed,Larry Holmes did not have bone crushing power,Mike Tyson was not a marathon fighter and even Ali has publically admitted he could not beat this man.BTY Gerry Cooney style is NOTHING like Marciano NOTHING AT ALL!!learn something about boxing, and stop embarrasing yourself!!PLEASE hahahaha

  • @CHC4669 If Rocky Marciano was a bum, then Usain Bolt is a bum, then Carl Lewis was a bum, then Bjorn Borg was a bum, then Michael Schumacker was a bum, then Tiger Woods was a bum!!Marciano was the boxing equivalent of those guys in his time....think about that...imagine what it takes to be that....think....

  • @onlyjoetee You really need to put your the Meth pipe down and check into your nearest rehab center. Cause your a Fucking Moron. I know why you want to build up this BUM I mean he's your Great White Hope Hero but he was a fraud all the way. A flat footed non-skilled BUM.

  • @CHC4669 I love how people are built to just bring everything down that someone accomplished. The guy didn't loose a fight and no other champ has been able to do that since. Who did Joe Louis beat that Rocky Marciano wouldnt be able to beat? Rocky Marciano could destroy everyone Joe Louis fought and he destroyed Louis as well. If Joe didnt feel he was in his prime he shouldnt have taken the fight but he did and you are not him to make those kind of statements. History is History and he lost.

  • @mateusz005 In the grand sceam of things and boxing no one gives a damn about Marciano. He was nothing but a bum who fought his brother several times under assumed names "Fact". Joe Louis held the title longer than any heavy weight and was the crown of the nation in the hearts of all Americans especially when he represented the nation in the historic fight with Max Schmeling. Marciano mean't nothing to this nation accept to Whites in need of their great white hope. Nothing but Bullshit.

  • @CHC4669 You completely avoided my question so I will as again, who has Joe Louis Beaten that Marciano would not be able to beat? Joe Louis won the hearts of Americans lol maybe black Americans because the whites stold all his money and he was left to die as an elder. It was Schmeling who paid for his funeral when he died. Maciano was a beast, Numbers dont lie but people do. Marciano wins on numbers and your opinnion means absolutely nothing.

  • @mateusz005 You are dealing in hypotheticals and speculation which mean nothing. Like football anybody can win on a given day. Like i said his record is nothing but Bullshit and nobody gives a damn about Marciano, Period. It is you who hasn't answered the question of him fighting his brother several times under ficticious names. Again his so called record is Bullshit. The three greatest heavyweights of all time.

    1. Jack Johnson

    2. Joe Louis

    3. Muhammed Ali

No one gives a shit about Marciano

  • @CHC4669 lol your the one who is dealing in hypotheticals and speculation. Im dealing with numbers and there is nothing to speculate about that. Its a win or lose type of deal and he did not lose. You never asked me a question about him fighting his brothers. That's what you stated and not asked and I believe that he fought his brother as an amateur and not as a pro so you lose either way. You cant say that this person or that person is better if they never actually fought. Thats speculation :)

  • @mateusz005 A fighters legacy is not measured simply by statistics alone. They're greatness is measured by what they mean't to the Era of their times and Historic Fights. Joe Louis held the title for 12 yrs. the longest reign in Heavyweight History. When Joe fought the streets were empty. His fight with Schmeling in 1938 in Yankee Stadium, Historic. For 3 minutes the "Entire World" came to a stand still. No one ever gave a Shit about Marciano. His record is Bogus everyone knows it that's fact.

  • @CHC4669 lol marciano beat louis stop being ignorant

  • @jennifer8970 Do you think Lous could take foreman like Ali did at the size of a light heavyweight?

  • @jennifer8970 I put them upside down but everyone knows

    1 .- Ali

    2 .- Joe Louis

  • @GatosEspaciales I agree. And Muhammad Ali was certainly no Joe Louis either. I've never seen a better offense.

  • @GatosEspaciales 1 is ray robinson

  • @GatosEspaciales i would admit, but it would be one of the best fights in boxing history.... Damn why werent they in the same Era boxing?? ... Would love to see frazier vs louis or foreman vs louis.... :/

  • @GatosEspaciales sugar ray robinson the greatest of all time dont get twisted

  • @HyN0iK42 heavyweight not middleweight

  • @GatosEspaciales

    1.Sugar Ray Robinson

    2.Muhammad Ali

3.Joe Louis Those are the 3 Greatest Boxers Of All Time.

  • Gay song

  • @WXP200 Ok

  • @MundoDoBoxe lol i like the song though...

  • Absolutely amazing. Loved the song and the way you made the video was sweet!

    Liked, favourited, and subscribed!

  • very great video!

  • Louis would be unbeaten this era. At CW or HW.

    With a KO% above 90.

    Great champ.

  • Louis would have destroyed Marciano had they met a couple of years earlier. Marciano, for me, remains one of the most over-rated fighters ever. Louis was terrific. Would only be a Cruiserweight in today's game, but he would certainly be the best one out there!

  • @rossow88 Why must you use this video to discredit marciano, joe louis was great, so was marciano. Joe lost to max schmeling when he was prime. Sorry he was knocked out by schmeling!!! If schmeling could knock out louis in his prime, so could marciano. Not saying he would, but he might. Joe did not have great defence and not the best chin ever. Billy conn who weighed what 170 almost knocked him out. Marciano and louis are both great it would be 50-50 fight. Your probably a tyson fanatic anyway.

  • @XavierMarciano I expressed my opinion as my own, not as fact. If I was a 'Tyson fanatic', which I'm not, would discredit any knowledge I had about boxing?! No. Tyson was fantastic in his short lived prime, but his legacy is deservedly discredited by his rapid decline and lack of dedication. I would never rate Tyson in the same league as Louis. However, on studying Marciano's tapes, it's clear he was clumsy, slow, powerful and easy to hit. His record is padded with names far past their prime.

  • @rossow88 You only see marciano's flaws, you fail to see his many admirable aspects. Marciano is a much better fighter than you realise. Check the records of ali or louis and you will see they faced many aged fighters too. The truth is all champions do this. Tyson did this by far the most. People discredit marciano for facing moore and yet ali faced him what 6 or 7 years later. The opposition joe louis faced was often called as the bum of the month. Joe padded his record too. All fighters do it

  • @XavierMarciano Marciano was good, strong and brave. I just didn't rate him. Ali beat great fighters in their prime, as well as older ones. Marciano never really had the test of a great fighter in their prime. As with Tyson, there are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes with Marciano.

  • @XavierMarciano not even rocky himself would say he could beat Louis in his prime.

  • @XavierMarciano Big difference, Ali vs Moore is irrelevant cause Ali's career had barely even taken flight, Ali went on to make his legacy after. Ali's best opposition: Liston - 31 (twice) Frazier - 30 (twice) Quarry - 25 (twice) Patterson 29 (twice) Williams - 32 Norton - 29 (twice) Lyle - 33 Foreman - 25 Shavers - 32 Chuvalo - 29 (twice) Terrel - 28 Ellis - 31 Average - 29 Marciano's best opposition Louis - 37 Charles - 33 (twice) Moore - 41 Walcott - 39 (twice) Average - 37
  • @vladiator100 Liston 31 in your dreams!!! Where did you pull that bs from?? Try 40, its probably a lot closer to the truth. Off with you to pull more incorrect or unfounded crap from the likes of wikipedia!! Ali would be given a very tough fight by both marciano and louis. I'm not going to get into a debate, but many of the names you mentioned are not impressive, williams had been shot and came from a coma when ali fought him, liston was ancient, patterson washed up, etc.

  • @XavierMarciano LOL 40? I got it from bios in which it mentions the investigation of Liston's death, you need to do research, 40, are you serious? LOL! That made me laugh so hard...the youngest he was in 64 was 31 and the oldest he could have been would only be 32. Liston's Mother went on the record as saying Liston was born in 1933! The only unknown to the public is the exact day. Why don't you do the math and actually read a book! Wikipedia?! you were so quick to mention it you must like wiki.

  • @XavierMarciano And I guess if you don't consider the list I gave you comprised of the boxers who formed part of the golden age of heavyweights impressive than you must consider Marciano's old man list as an elementary school boxing club...

  • @vladiator100 Bert Sugar and Ray Arcel have both said they believed liston to be 38+ when ali fought them, no offense boy but I will take their opinions above yours. If had read my early comments you would have seen how I mentioned all heavyweight champs ali, louis and marciano included pad their record. I'm not wasting any more of my time on an ignorant young pup who thinks liston was 31 when ali fought him. Let me guess you didn't think liston took a dive in their second fight!!

  • @XavierMarciano No offense but I will take what I read from professional investigations and records over your beliefs from Sugar and Arcel who are boxing experts NOT "I can tell how old he is" experts. Go on into the sunset feeling better for yourself for calling people on youtube "boy". Let me guess, you didn't think Marciano has the greatest padded and fixed record of all time!

  • @XavierMarciano And Ali beating Foreman surpasses anything Marciano ever did. Hell, even just beating Williams surpasses anything on Marciano's record. The age difference is there, hows that for facts? Ali's best age opposition is 29, Marciano's is 37!!! ;)

  • @vladiator100 I agree, Ali defeating Foreman ALONE beats anything Marciano ever did in his career. In fact by just beating guys like Patterson or Shavers or Quarry surpasses anything on Marciano's career. Not just because they were great boxers but they were actually YOUNG when Ali fought them. And you pretty much got the age thing on the dot, I also read the same thing about Liston. He was any where around 31-32 years old in 1964 when Ali beat him and was pronounced 38 years old when deceased.

  • Look at all these great fighters saying goodbye at his grave, very touching...

  • Great video my friend, my only complaint would be the water mark. But, apart from that very good job and I have subscribed.
