It didn't make money not because it didn't have pro teams in it. It didn't make money for the same reason I returned it. NO CAREER / FRANCHISE MODE! I love the 2K series and still play 2k5. But without a franchise mode, even with the best game play it got boring! I am sorry but it's true. ESPN NFL 2k5 Forever!

speaking of a.i best i ever saw as i was playing this yesterday..it was fourth and one and the cpu came out in jokers form to go for it, let the play clock run down to abut 2 and called a timeout. they decide to punt it when they lined back up.. little shit like that blow me the fuck away amazing game and i wish ppl played still id love to have a league

2k8 is still a much better game than madden... AN this from a true gamer, that buys madden every year, just to resale it a month later... Because madden is weak... Just try 2k8 for the game play and you will agree. 2K8 IS STILL IN JULY 2010, SIMPLY THE BEST FOOTBALL GAME ON THE MARKET. But that is what money does in america... All pro is do much better then madden by fair the game play and just more fun. The running game is 10x better and when passing u half to set ur feet and and the catches are better but the graphics aren't as good cuz it's like 3 years old but it's way better than madden 10 and prob 11

Nice video man, it deserves more views. I still play APF 2k8 almost every day, and the only little problem I have with it is you can't do consecutive seasons, but other than that it's a great game. Everything yous aid is spot on.

2K5 had more features. The presentation was deeper. It was a complete game, APF was not. APF's gameplay was improved, but you need more than that to sell a football game.

Where 2K fucked up is in their concept design choices. When they publicly stated they weren't trying to make a game that mimics the NFL, I knew they were done. Dumb stadiums, AWFUL uniforms, AWFUL team names, terrible player models. They lost their fucking minds. Gameplay is not enough to sell a football game.
