  • i was on the bridge when it happend and i didint knew...

i think i shat my pants

  • It was an awesome vacation. I highly recommend it.

  • And tomorrow sister ship Allure of the Seas will do the same thing. They had luck once but will they be lucky too in the second time?

  • that thing is hugely emmense, wtf for ???

  • jesus fuck christ that thing is huge

  • Really people are your lives that bad that you would vacation on a cruise ship.

  • @welltester10, why not? Going on a cruise doesn't necessarily mean that your life sucks.

  • @welltester10 As opposed to a vacation doing something else? If you fly to a spot, you usually stay in that area... With a cruise you go to a few different places. Plus you have things to do on the ship the whole time.

  • @welltester10 So people have bad lives because they can spend multiple nights sleeping on a form of transportation that lets you; get as much free food as they want at any time, watch movies, go to a play, play hockey, basketball, volleyball, go swimming, gamble, dance, watch the ocean, and go shopping at some of the best stores.........? Nobody told me there was a new definition of having a "bad life". >.>

  • it's one amazing ship, it's my dream to go on there (:

  • I was onboard when we went under the bridge in Denmark, to be more presice, I was next to the funnels :)

  • no no no! i know it isn't a fake its st that the video doent look legit

  • this shows that cruise ships cant get any taller they can only get wider and longer...like male enhancements!!

  • at 0:54m is it opening up? i cant tell

  • All this about the squat effect is only "prestige nonsens", she would had made it under the bridge anyway because of the tide, they would never take such a chance. However the squat effect gave them an extra margin.

  • How do you actually know this please?

  • from experience

  • What experience?

  • woah... my dad is working in this ship too bad he is the one who saw it with out me aww!!!

  • They are travelling at high speed because the squat effect increases with increase in speed. Still, its not normal for a ship to deliberately travel at high speed when heading straight toward a danger. Must have been an exhilirating experience! :-)

  • this effect is called squat effect and normaly used in such situations. The captain does exactly know what he is doing ;-)

  • this looooook so close and fast ^ ^

  • i was reading a bit about this, the where going about 20 knots, and due to some effect that happens, it sucks the ship down, that combined with ballasting and everything, I think it only had 2 feet of clearence. ! absolutley fantastic ship, but I do think freedom class looks visually nicer to look at :P

  • It's not fake i actually saw it in person with my own 2 eyes u bitch

  • so u mean... Oasis of the seas (a ship of royal Caribbean company) is also fake?.... -_-... search this all over the web and u will see lots of this

  • I live in Denmark and I was there! So this isnt fake

  • i came!!!!!!!!!

  • this isnt fake

  • what the fuck is this ?

  • LOL ? Dont u know ? this is the largest cruise ship on earth... Royal caribbean were order one of these more :D

  • OH! really?

I live in Denmark, and how come it was in the news and stuff? my cousin saw it all even.

  • man that thing is state of the art! cant wait to go on it =]

  • I bet you could tell by the pixels, right?

  • Thank GOD you´re with us. There´s only you who can spot it´s cgi.

Only thing is that you´re WRONG. *face palm*

It´s real man, get over it. This was widely reported in Scandinavia this weekend. Why the H would they make a fake cgi of this when everyone knows the ship made it??!??!

  • this was directed @peraknowya 4 posts down

  • true video... several of my co-workers were on that ship.... some still are. AMA

  • the ship purposley went fast because the boat rides lower at faster speeds.

  • How can this be on "31 of November 2009" do you have a time machine?

  • lol!! he need to put up a video on how the time machine works, that would be alot more interesting

  • I learn something!

  • Fuck me, that thing is FAST! For something with that displacement / the size of a large apartment building, I am literally astounded it can move through the water that quickly. Is this video sped up?

  • No, it wasn't sped up at all. Apparently, the ship sinks lower in the water as it goes faster, so to clear the bridge they decided to go fast under it.

    RAMMING SPEED!

  • a video from the future

  • I read that they sped the ship up so that it would sink deeper into the water and be able to make it under the bridge. It has 1 foot clearance, even with its exhausts retracted, so going quick was necessary, apparently.
