I think kids who can't handle simple bullying (this may sound cold) should not exist, because if they can't handle a few simple nasty comments how will they handle life? there are teachers to talk to but thats only when the bullying gets out of hand, NOT only that you have you're parents and maybe even the police a childs security is guaranteed but a childs character isn't. We should teach our children to have character, and they will be as solid as steel.

I think kids who can't handle simple bullying (this may sound cold) should not exist, because if they can't handle a few simple nasty comments how will they handle life? there are teachers to talk to but thats only when the bullying gets out of hand, NOT only that you have you're parents and maybe even the police a childs security is guaranteed but a childs character isn't. We should teach our children to have character, and they will be as solid as steel.

@Tougain i don't think there is such a thing as simple bullying. bullying aims to hurt and is a repetitive action. going to school and having kids reinforce the idea that the way you are in wrong, everyday, is not "simple". you can sue people in work places for that kind of behavior, but what can kids do? some kids don't get the chance to experience self affirmation and who can blame them when they don't have the support of those supposedly protecting them.

That's easy for an adult to say. A child's mental development is just as important to that of his physical development. So, ask yourself this, what's the harm in 'no bullying' exactly? Mental abuse -your few nasty words- is still abuse. I grew up popular, never had to worry about bullying because of money, and sports, however I saw what kids went through while growing up, that's for sure. With that rationale when do you define 'out of hand' after they have gone postal with dad's semi-automatic shotgun in the school canteen... when they are found dead by their parent with a note saying "I'm sorry mommy" or when they are trying to escape their sense of self loathing due to bullying with a steady stream of alcohol and drugs? At what point would you say helping is okay?
