I have a tradition that every Thanksgiving I turn on Home Alone 1. I have done that since I can remember. I use to turn on number 2 almost every day when I was little. I wore out the VHS tapes for Jurassic Park and Home Alone 2 about 5 years ago. I would watch them almost everyday until I hit highschool. I love the Home Alone movies.

Home Alone was excellent. Well put together. The 2nd movie was good but it's like how did Kevin happen to have the blow torch again there? There were some clever new tricks. Home alone 3 was decent. There were good traps but why not play setting the trap music instead of "this is my house"?? Also would have been good if they would have caught Alex like Marv and Harry got Kevin for a moment. The 4th one sucks balls and is the worst movie in the series. They should have stopped at 3.

Probably the best scene in the entire movie. This time it wasn't about protecting his own house, but saving OTHER kids' christmas. Everytime I watch this scene when the action music starts after his speech with his badass look it always gives me the goosebumps :)

They should have just had macaulay culkin be Kevin all the way in all the movies. Perhaps in the 3rd one he could have been left at one of his relatives houses, new house layout, new traps. They should have had Harry and Marv get away in the first one and then the 2nd one get caught, third one they break out from prison and they are at a new house.

The way I see the movies are pretty similar to how you see them.

Home Alone - A holiday classic, as well as a classic in general. One of the greatest films of all time, in my opinion.

Home Alone 2 - Not AS good, but it's still excellent. A classic just like the previous film.

Home Alone 3 - More upbeat, not many slow moments like the other two. But not a classic.

Home Alone 4 - Worst film in history. Seriously! In my opinion though, but still... WORST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN!

John Williams did not have to re-record Setting The Trap for Home Alone 2.

It probably was not necessary, because Home Alone 2 used most of the music from the first film.

Some sequels are like that. Sometimes to save time and money they will use the same recordings done for the first film.
