  • thanks for this recording...

  • trippy, crazy, psycho delirium. i listen, and all my consciousness melts away

  • just let them kill her ;)

  • THE TITLE OF THE SONG IS "ALL I HAVE TO DO IS KILL HER" NOT "ALL I WANT..."

  • THE TITLE OF THE SONG IS "ALL I HAVE TO DO IS KILL HER" NOT "AL I WANT..."

  • good tribute ,,for sure vicoland

  • I'm not sure listening to this dark side of The Cure is good for my state of mind at times, but I can't help it or resist it, this music is an absolute addiction...

  • Is this song downloadable in some way? On an album, tape, anywhere? I really want to listen to it on the go

  • @Skellington383 u can download it on a torrent

  • @xplodngboy Thank you so much! Although I don't really know what a torrent is, or what to do with it...I'm not very tech savy:(

  • @Skellington383

Just google for a "youtube to mp3 converter" ... then copy and paste the link. :)

  • @xJirachi96x Thank you so much!:)

  • @xJirachi96x real player has a downloader for youtube to your computer. Then you can convert it to a player.

  • @xplodngboy

Real Player is crap. I prefer VLC Player.

Google for "DVD VideoSoft" with this tool you can download complete Youtube Videos or just the Mp3 File from a youtube Clip :)

  • wow, this takes me back. this was one of my most favourite bootlegs!

  • Hearing this and then thinking about what they sound like now just baffles me. Sometimes it seems like they sacrificed quality for fame and profit, but then again this whole dark experimental phase could be seen as just a little detour in their career. How awesome would that be to go through a minor depression for just a few years and have some of the darkest coolest music in the world to show for it?

  • @ral1334 ...or maybe it is the other way 'round. Maybe he has been depressed for the past 25 years.

  • @ral1334 je pense comme toi/i'm agree après pornography/faith/17 seconds...et un peu disintegration ça a complètement merdé/it sucks after the big four"...

  • "...Seeing the Cow Dead before it was born.." Robert has pushed the subversive side of LSD to its darkest and most horrifing emotions, bring back a truly terrifying world. One can only image what his "Flash Backs" are like.

  • where u get all these pictures from??? love em! =)

  • prob my all time fav rare as fuck song

  • the beatles do suck. entirely overrated mainstream shit

  • the beatles suck and they became dirty hippies the cure is the best and most influential band on the face of the earth thanks to Robert Smith i mean he is the cure i think you could replace the others in the band as long as robert is there it will be the cure he writes all the words and all the music he is THE MAN!!!

  • Can you send me that song? I can give you my e-mail, please

  • i fucking love every way he plays, any song, every fucking one of them sounds perfect to me i might be high to think this one was being song from across the room and i thought for a moment every thing relates and were on the same page RIGHT? and it was all inside my head not like" the man inside my mouth".

  • And the pictures of the video are real rarities!

  • This is THE CURE!, not now.

  • Pornography rocks!

  • Finally, an Internet forum where people will understand my nick!

Oddly enough, the version that I have seems to be deeper than this one, like the tape was played back at different speeds.

    Anyone else noticed that?

  • This and Forever is their best, ever (maybe the same song :-) ) Brilliant!

  • All my life resumes to these 8 words "all i have to do is kill her".

Time went by and this is now obsolete. All I HAD to do is kill her. Too bad for me. Got a life.

  • Never mind Lennon and McCartney, this here is a true genius.

  • Great track =) a friend of mine had it on a bootleg album and gave me a casette recording of it back in the early 90ties. Nostalgia =) Thx for uploading it!!

  • Still one of my favourite all time track's of The Cure's

  • Still one of my favourite all time track's of The Cure's

  • One of the best ever Cure songs---I say

  • 17 seconds, Faith and Pornography were the bests albums made by The Cure.

  • @Vivamigeneral surely you can't forget Kiss me,Kiss me,Kiss me and Distentegration?!

  • @LennonMorrissey Yes, the aren't bad at all, but they're totally different from those three. I think the ones I mentioned marked and gave a start to a new kind of music that was never done before, except by bands like joy Division and Bauhaus. They started a new movement that is still today among us with the emos, to tell you just one example. Kiss me and Disintegration were more like pop and they didn't contribute to the world of music with something new. It's just my humble opinion.

  • @Vivamigeneral Disintegration is defo not pop!

does he choke her, but before he it woul be said, he couldn´t kill another life...

and does does from this version exists a studio version?

    thx pas

  • I would think he's building up to the killing(all i have to do is three short blows...) until the actual killing: 'She says 'let go my shoulder'...and the sky goes black' and then it haunts him 'everytime i look up the stairs i...i used to see her die, shewould move so slow'.

    Amazing song.

  • Thank you so much, absolutely fantastic.

Was looking for all mine/forever and came across this superb version!!!! wish there was more...

  • Very amazing video!

    Thanks you

    Great!

  • it is from a bootleg it was played..at l'olympia - france in the 1982 tour...

    \cheers

  • one of the best most inspiring songs ive heard. Why dont they remaster this shit!?

  • Why don't YOU re-master it?

  • I have but professionals can most likely do a lot better. Why dont you jump off a cliff?

  • so do you

  • Alright. Enough from the peanut gallery.

  • where did you get the pictures from??

  • not disimilar to 80s live favourite "All Mine" - maybe an earlier version of the same song?

  • way to crack the case columbo

  • wow. thats EXACTLYYYY what i was thinking! haha thats weird. i was literally about to put that but i was reading the other comments first...the guitar is so similar...and the echo they use for his singing...

  • I recognize 'prayers for rain' in it.

I love it. I Love The Cure.

  • Great!)

  • Thank you, the cure ... The cure is good for everybody ...

  • This is the era of The Cure that changed me forever. I discovered them in 1982 and they've been my favorite ever since.

  • LA CURA

    yeah!!!!!!!!!!

    thats killer

  • EXCELLENT ! Voilà du vrai "Cure"...

  • GREAT SONG nice pictures!! thanks for post!!!! :D:D:D *_*

  • Aaaand the skyyy turns BLACK!

    :D

  • Great. Where I can find it? I'm desperate...

  • Its a bootleg cd called M. It was released by Great Dane Records 4/1991.Via L. Manara,5 20122 Milano,Italy

  • Isn't this version of "All mine" called 'All I Had To Do Is Kill Her? And not "All I Want to do is kill her"?

  • This song is called "All I Want To Do Is Kill Her" this recording is from L'Olympia,Paris June 7th 1982.Its funny to think that just 10 days before this recording,Robert and Simon got into a fist fight while playing a show at Tivoli HallI in Strasbourg,France.Anyways,I belive the song "All Mine" got turned into "Forever".

  • Hm, perhaps you're right.. Anyway, a really good version of "All Mine/Forever"! Some of the bootlegs I have from 1982 sounds really agressive, and some of the "Pornography" versions sounds almost more intense than the album version! I'm glad the band didn't stop or break down after this dark era!

  • I agree,it would have been easy for them just to give up.Its great that they pushed on.

  • This is one of my favourite songs!great!

    Thanx for post.!

  • all i had to do is kill her

  • I really love the pictures in this video!CLASSIC!!!!!

  • What a great video.

This might be my all time favorite Cure song. Unfortunately anytime I've played it for anyone they usually hate it.

  • Play it for me

    i effing love it

  • !!!!!!!

(I just can't find the words to express the magnificence of this.)

  • OH MY GOD!

  • amazing! this is the reason I love the cure

  • Same! I can't love the lazy new stuff~!

  • great, amazing,.... Where I can find this song on CD's. Any ideas? please HELP! greets from Poland!

  • bootlegs only, i have it on vinyl with various other rare tracks/demos called 'strange days'..i bought it like 15 years ago. but it appears on other cd's (bootlegs). try ebay of course, 'strange days' turns up there now and again. other wise the original concert recorded in June 1982 is available as torrents or as CD again search ebay. find out about local record fairs - its what we all did before the internet - when looking for rare records etc...good luck

  • I can't speak, this is absolutely amazing!

The Cure forever, and Robert is a genius.

Thanks so much Vicoland for this vid!!!

  • fucking. amazing!!!!!!

but i couldn't find this mp3 if my life depended on it.

    any suggestions?

  • darkestcurever *bow* this voice is so hypnotic

  • never heard that befor... but i love it!

  • this song comes from Olympia in June 1982, very rare song, great

  • When I first heard this on a white vinyl Cure album I bought in 1992 I khew I had found a gem. This to me is genius, The best Cure song ever done live. The lyrics and Music cut me to the Center. Just can't get enough. Thanks for posting this. The Cure is (since 1983)and will always be my favorite band.

  • ummm.... that damn was supposed to go to all you people that know so much obscure cure history.

  • new favorite song

    words are missing

  • beatiful song, great clip!thank you very much, greetings from hungary!!

  • sexy as hell.

  • Thank you so much for putting this on youtube. The best version of FOREVER the Cure has ever done. I was lucky to hear it in a other version i Dresden, Germany. I LOVE it !

  • man i've been listening to this live version for years now..damn..

  • THE CURE - FOREVER

  • So f..king great!

  • The real name of this song was probably "All Mine", as it could be heard on the b-side of the Cure Concert released in 1984, on the cassette version, through the "Curiosities". This bootleg version is much longer than the "official" one and quite improvised.

  • actually the one on 'curiosities' has been edited for the album, if you have the original recording of the show you'll hear that version of 'all mine' in its entirety of over 11 minutes at the London Hammersmith Odeon on May 1st. a previous entry by Widthatnut, provides a pretty accurate description of the many incarnations of this improvisation from 1980 through 82 to 84.

something of interest during this tour was the james bond guitar part sometimes played in the intro of pornography

  • DAMN!!!!!

  • From the legendary Paris Olympia 1982 bootleg....It was the first night of two shows in Paris. After those shows, they played in Strasbourg (France) where Robert and Simon fought and the band broke up. They played one very last show in Brussels, Belgium, but, according to the guys in the band, it was a mess, it was already over. One of the reason this show is so legendary is that they were on the edge of something at this moment of the tour...

  • The Parisan shows were played on June 7 and 8. The Strasbourg show was played on May 27. They had this clash, cancelled 2 shows (Epinal & Annecy), and then played the last French and Belgian legs of the tour.

  • auw i have this song on a bootleg and this sound good XD it was performed at L'olympia france 1982 XD pornography tour :)

  • wow, this has sparked quite a debate, thats great! yeah i've got most of the neu isenburg recording (great sound board quality) along with the manchester date plus bits and pieces of other shows. back in the day it was easy to pick these up in markets in london. now alot of these shows are available at file share sites/bit torrents bit i haven't figured all that out yet! look on picturesofyou they have a heap of pictures from 1982, many from the concerts. i've also got a radio interview.....

  • ..with simon which you can assume robert was probably meant to do. simon sounds fairly pissed off about the whole tour, but says great things about Zerra 1 the support group. the tour film 'airlock' was another animated film by rick (simons brother). theres some concerts where the tape packed up for 100 years and pornograghy, one in particular robert uses effects on his own voice to reproduce the pornography intro with sinister effect & shouts from the crowd. heard the last forever from belgium?

  • There's nothing amazing about Simon and Robert being pissed off. The tour began on 10/04 and ended on 11/06. In 2 months, the schedule was to play more than 41 concerts. They had a break of 5 days (between 12/04 and 17/04) and another one for 3 days (from 02/05 to 05/05)... But then, in between it was a concert a day, crawling across Europe. Playing in such conditions would wreck anyone. Can you imagine how exhausted they were? Touring by then was certainly not as comfortable than it's now...

  • Looking back at the band's history, the agenda was dreadful. How could anyone stand living such a schedule for 3 years without melting a fuse ?

    Nov. / dec. 1979 : Tour.

Jan. / Feb. 1980 : Recording of Seventeen Seconds.

Mar. / Nov. 1980 : Tour + Rehearsals for Faith (from Sep.).

Feb. 1981 : Recording of Faith.

    Apr. / Oct. 1981 : Tour.

    Dec. 1981 / Jan. 1982 : Recording of Pornography.

    Apr. / Jun. 1982 : Tour.

    It was simply unbearable...

  • Now, consider the classic pattern for "modern" bands. A LP every 3 to 4 years, promoted by a 6 months (max.) tour...

Smith's agenda didn't stop after june 82. From Aug. 82, he recorded "Lament", "Let's go to bed", demoed "Blue Sunshine", joined the Banshees, toured for 2 months, recorded "Nocturne". And it went on :

Jan. 83 : Recording "Blue Sunshine".

Feb. 83 : Tour with Banshees.

Mar. / May 83 : Recording "Blue Sunshine".

    Jun. 83 : Recording "Hyaena"

Jul. 83 : Tour with Banshees.

  • Jul. / Aug. 83 : (small) Tour with The Cure.

    Aug. 83 : Recording "Lovecats".

Somewhere in between : Recording "Dear Prudence", "The Walk"...

Sep. / Oct. 83 : Tour with Banshees.

    Nov. 83 / Jan. 84 : Finishing recording "Hyaena"

Jan. 84 : recording "The Top"

Mar. 84 : Tour with Banshees

Apr. / May 84 : Tour with The Cure.

Add promotion, TV show, video shootings, recording for Tim Pope... That's crazy...

  • yeah i agree, you can hear the difference in the shows too, from joking with the crowd in 79, to the more new wave sound of 1980 though still quite light hearted to the faith tour (i tracked down the interview on the australian cassette/magazine Fast Forward which describes their condition at the time, have you heard any of the american tour tapes of this time, there's a really hostile crowd in LA and i swear you can hear robert crying his way through faith at the end, amazing stuff..

  • Never heard these American concerts... All I know is that Chris Parry once declared they were amongst the worst performances given by the band. It doesn't make me want to try, Ahahahahahahah !

  • you seem to know your stuff re: dates etc are you just an enthusiast or are/were you more involved with the band at some point.

btw do you own/collect any of their rarer records?

  • I've been a HUGE fan from 1981 'til 1996. I've never been involved any further. Just a fan. Now, I really don't like their musical direction anymore - they sound like any American Top 20 band. I mean that I've not been used to liking 2 titles on a LP with this band. The inspiration seems to have gone away (Bloodflowers was not that bad though). When I say "it's not amazing", it's just because the poor boys were wrecked and it was pretty obvious, given the conditions.

  • And yes, I'm a big collector... ;-)

  • the french 7" promo shake dog shake, just went on ebay a few hrs ago for about £200 and there was the obtainers record a couple of days ago also, i think that went for over £300 you got those ones?

btw i didn't figure it out, were you at some of the gigs in 82? i was only 8 years old at the time!

  • I've got this 7". Quite a rare one, but paradoxally not that much. It could be found quite easily because for some obscure reasons Polydor supplied bar jukeboxes with it in France. Well these have generally a plain white sleeve, but it's the same pressing. The colored sleeve one is much harder to find. "The Obtainers" is a pretty pretty rare piece. There were only 100 7" made... A real piece of history !

  • so your saying that there may be more than the rumoured 300+ copies of shake dog shake just others without picture sleeves, interesting.

wow, picture tour at 10! nice, i understand how you wouldn't remember much..i didn't get into them until 89/90 so caught most of the tours from then on. the most recent was ok though, i saw them in Sydney australia they were tight and was good to see porl back.

the newer stuff, well all things change with time, i'm still into it but i see your point...

  • I was 10 (!) when I first saw them in 1981. Might be why I can remember having seen "Carnage Visors". I didn't see them in 1982, but from 1984 onwards, I have not missed a single tour, except the last one (without regret).

  • Typing mystake : "Might be why I can'T remember having seen "Carnage Visors"."

  • i know what you mean about "theres nothing amazing about etc..." i only mentioned it because normally artists can be a bit more reserved about such things but in this instance simon was obviously past caring. i just felt it reinforced the whole myth surrounding this particular tour. i think i'm understanding how you make your points better! all that activity you mentioned can be blamed for the madness on The Top (i love the record btw, don't get defensive) and the well publicised breakdown!

  • Is this the same song as Forever or are they different?

  • '82 "All Mine" songs are different from '84 and later "Forever" (based on "Three" from the "Seventeen seconds" LP . "All mine" versions aren't based on "Three", but on an improvisation around a little guitar gimmick (you can hear it @ 2'26" on this video : every "All mine" has this gizmo). This one is mislabelled "All I want to do is to kill her" by the bootlegger. As it has bcome a legend, the name remained. Same use as "Forever" : wrecking the stage before leaving it...

  • contd..regarding this time are really sought after.this isn't a 'wow you met the cure what are they like' type enquiry this is trying to fill a black hole in the available info about an incredible band at an incredible time in their past. i would even guess that robert himself would like to know what he was like back then as he's often quoted as saying he can't remember much about this time. if you've ever heard a concert from this time or read one of few interviews wou'll know what i mean

  • I meant "the fact that the footage IS RARE". As for 30-40 people a concert, listening to tapes,
