Lava Piranha and Huff N Puff were probably the hardest bosses when i first tried this game. years later i played this game again..and i beat this guy in one try. lol. and huff and puff had 2 tries. and then i had trouble with Crystal King and Tutankoopa...and those guys are not even hard to beat. lol

Tough boss? yes. Equip the Ice Power and Fire Shield? badges, have Sushie at Ultra Rank, and you'll be much better off. If you don't have those, it could be a rough fight.

I personally found the second form easier now that I think about it. The Lava Buds don't attack directly, but make these tiny piranhas that can be taken out with things like Star Storm or Sushi's Tidal wave. In addition, the boss is now on fire, so with Ice Power you do more damage, as do Sushi's water attacks.

Simple strategy to beat this guy. 1st Phase: 1. Use Chill Out at the start of the battle. 2. Have Sushie as partner the entire battle. 3. Us Water Block at the start of the battle. Repeat Water Block when it wears off. 4. Keep using Power Bounce on the main head. 2nd Phase: 1. Use Squirt on the main head. 2. Power Bounce the main head over and over. 3. If low on HP or FP, use a Star Power. 4. Repeat.

get the the giant piranha kinda expect it

fight a moderatly hard battle

beat him falls in lava

then outta nowhere he pops back up with a new hair do and wants to fight again where if you weren't prepared you get to fight himt with nothen but shit

and lets not forget brave colorados attack

all makes for a real memorable battle

I always thought sushi was a bit of a useless partner when it comes to moves, so I used all of the other level-up blocks on everyone else. I got through the volcano pretty easily, but when it got to THIS thing, I learned I should have used some of those level up blocks on sushi. You couldn't even IMAGINE how hard he is with an insanely low-leveled Sushi.
