Why are you criticizing Tilight? Is by far the most HORRIFIC movie series ever made. I mean, I don't even have to see them, just when someone mentions them I just feel a chill in my spine.
I guess as to why Twilight, Beetlejuice, Young Frankenstein, and Edward Scissorhands were included simply because they contain elements of horror: vampires, dead people, corpses, and man with scissors. Most of its used for comedic or romantic effect, but because they're so popular as horror devices, the Academy just thought "why no include those?" They probably put Twilight in also to satisfy the young appeal to the Oscars.
Why the heck was twilight in it?? And what were those two doing at the oscars??? THey could have at least gotten some actors that had been in those movies like Nicholson, Anthony Perkins, Bruce Willis, etc..

twilight is not a horror film. it is a chick flick and should stay that way. twilight isn't even that scary other than the poor actors, terrible screen scripts, terrible action, and terrible everything about that movie......

I'm disappointed that Black Christmas (1974) was not included. After Psycho, it really was the first of its kind but Halloween takes all the credit. They are missing the opening of When a Stranger Calls too and Leprechaun should have been eliminated. For the most part, good.
