@MacFarlane92 It always puzzled me where they got these 'invited' audiences from. Stuffed dummies weren't they? If I was there, my head wouldn't stop!
I love watching spud when the song changes to gotta go home, he's like the bloody Duracell Bunny! That kind of energy is missing from the Quo now, Rossi just looks bored these days. Frantic Four Forever.
I got bored of Rossi being bored and that is the biggest reason why I stopped going to see them. And if the next album is as crappy as 'In Search Of The Fourth Chord' was, then I might just get bored of buying Quo albums and abrubtly end a thirty-seven year tradition. I'm bored with boring Quo albums...you've been warned Mr. Rossi!
You've hung in longer than me brother. My last straw was the inappropriately titled "Aint Complaining". The last time i saw Quo was the End of the road at Milton Keynes, and alas for me anyway, it was. I just prefer to remember them in their 70-81 period of greatness. Hang on, i think i'm misting up!!
The last 20 odd years has been mostly guff with the rare average song. As for the current line up, could you imagine them playing this?????? Not really
Agreed. From 1982 onwards, Quo's output has been very much a case of hit-and-miss, with the emphasis being on "miss". There are of course others who would swear blind that Quo were "better" in the 80's and 90s than they were in the 60s and 70s. I suggest that people of this persuasion take a reality check.
This song captures a band who were fresh and instinctive in their approach. Simillar to Deep Purple during their "In rock" period. Very different types of music, but the same freshness about themselves!
I've seen them more times than I can remember. I still go and recall another time when I was younger man and Quo were a great band.Rossi always looks to me like he's just going through the motions, Rick on the other hand always gives you your moneys worth. They haven't done anything decent post Lancaster. I wanted to keep the faith but stopped buying albums after that piece of shit "Perfect Remedy" hit the stores.
I Followed Quo from the late 60s and saw them on every tour during the 70s and 80s till the fallout with Alan Lancaster then that was the end for me.Seen them once since and I was`nt that impressed, more like a cabaret band. Thanks for posting this early stuff QuoTime I did`nt know it existed !
