  • LOL, wow I got a good laugh off of seeing Craig getting his buzz on. Good stuff Mon...lmao

  • Man I am so behind on videos.. Happy HBW last week, Craig! Just like I told Immo when he did his sanitation video, you guys aren't wearing your rubber gloves and mask. Great video anyway, and 17!

  • Double fisting?

  • craig you rock! I dont care if you can review or not, but you impress me every time you do. if you would try and test beer smith 2 (a beer recipe program) i would love your feed back. i just started this recipe making program and love it. it's good for cloning beers and making your own recipes better. try it and let me know. cheers!

  • Use the shaft instead!!

  • Alcohol induced poetry. haha, love it.

  • so funny..craig hammerd...

  • Well I have seen some stuff on here over the years, but I did not think I would see the day when Craig was double fisted....

  • Yay for seeing Craig catch a happy buzz. :-) fyi if your equip is getting stained by the iodiphor it means your mix is too strong

  • looks like iodine!

  • Haha double fisting! Nice! Good stuff mate!

  • good vid craig i was afraid you where going to stab your hand with that screwdriver a spoon also works to open beer and is safer hope to catch you friday 17 from 4mcwatt ( sean)

  • You might as well call your Wednesday videos, double fisty Wednesday, because you all ways seem to being double fisting in the videos.

  • I know a lot of home brewers, I don't know anyone that uses Iodophor...

  • @MeMcNeills Five Star makes one that maybe you've seen "Immo" use as well as "the tersichorean kid" in their videos, its called Sani-clean. Its great for sanitizing your bottles, carboys and caps with as it doesn't foam up like Star-san . I use both types for different things. Star-san mainly for my auto-siphon, tubing, bottling bucket, bottling wand and other plastic parts I don't want stained with Iodine.

  • That Icelanic Beer sounded tasty. Happy HBW. Cheers!

  • Ha great video as always. How long does the wine age?

  • beer is beer in all languages

  • @Kanuckbrewer except in Spanish, but they don't make that great of a beer anyway.

  • no time like beer o' clock ! another great homebrew wednesday as always!

  • I feel like so many "worldly" beers have mostly malt characteristics, mostly forgoing hops altogether. Then some are just plain odd.

  • Eww, you've been drinking that beer for over a week? Just pour another one dude. ;)

  • Cheers and Beers!

    Memo

  • Hey Craig, I'm looking to find a good home made sanitizer got any suggestion? I see a lot of web sites telling me I can use 1/4 teaspoon of Bleach to one gallon of water. Any thoughts on that. Keep the videos coming and we'll all keep watching.

    thanks

Bleach is good - just don't use it on your stainless steel equipment. I believe the stuff will corrode it.

  • Just curious - I wonder if you added a couple pounds more sugar to beer secondary ferment cycle and pitched some wine yeast if you would end up with a drinkable high gravity beer (12% +)

  • happy homebrew wednesday!

  • I have been told not to mix wine fermenting and beer fermenting in the same room. Something to do with yeast exchange. My LHBS guys said this. Its why they only brew wine and not beer and wine at their store they said.

  • @420Honey

Really? ... Not sure how that could be a problem with sealed fermenters and good sanitation. Who knows though, I'm just a beginner.

  • @AdamsBrew78 - That was my thought too. I mean if it was a big problem you would hear more about it you would think eh? Im not buying it...

  • @420Honey You only run into problems when your brewing on a larger scale, were the wine or beer yeast my be present in the air.

  • Great HBW Craig!

  • That wine sounds like it'll be delicious :) How long do you usually leave it in the secondary? ... Looking forward to try my hand at wine making soon -- Just now got my first batch of beer fermenting and I'm already wanting to branch out! It's all so much fun and I've yet to drink a drop of my own stuff ...

  • Awsome colour on that beer. Looks really good.

  • HHW Craig...Cheers!

  • Good HBW video again Craig, Cheers

  • Never seen a beer from Iceland before looks good. I never knew you where a poet. Will we get to hear anymore CraigTube Poetry duing your cast this week?

  • You must be really blind craig
