My sister has sickle cell anemia and sometimes I find that I forget what she's going through.. even though since as far back as I can remember I saw my sister in and out of the hospital with needles running through her... So This poem really hit home.

Yea I can totally relate to you Jasmine.... I have had sickle beta-thal since I was 1 years old. I am now going to be 21...so yes there are days that I wake up wanting to die,wanting to reverse time but I know that it is all in my mind for I was given this disease for a reason we all were...what that reason is we may never know!
