Well, this is mighty racist, BUT there are some comedians today (like Daniel Tosh) that do the same thing and we can all get a laugh out of it. I'm Black, and sometimes I have to turn the channel when Tosh.0 comes on b/c he can be a bit much. However, I appreciate his complete disregard to the pussification of the American status quo. What was my point...? Oh yeah: we're all a little racist. If there's no malice behind the action, I say relax, get over it, and change channels if need be.
Because this was performed several times on the show while it was part of the "Top Seven" songs during 1956. If a song was extremely popular, there were several "imaginative" ways it could be presented without looking (and sounding) "stale". This was one of them...
