  • @Dutchmanvideos Obama was the second dislike, it seems.

  • WE THE PEOPLE DID NOT WANT WAR!...simple as fucking that

  • ok whos the idiot who pressed the dislike button???

  • @CouldntFindGoodNamee i bet he's a CEO of a big corp ;D

  • its just stupid we are losing loved ones an they are to its not a win win its a lose lose we need to drop it i that we want terrorism to end but us going after them an killing is not gonna help this isnt a video game when you die you cant hit retry when your dead your out an then someone fills your place we are already loosing loved ones to old age we dont need them to be shot an killed by someone on the other side of the world

  • This video only shows you part of this nightmare we call war its stupid an we need to stop this we are killing our planet along with our selfs an if we dont kill each other we will destroy the whole world with it we just need to stop the killing an understand that everyone is different an we are gonna fight an disagree an thats no reason to send our loved ones to another place to be shot at an murdered it makes no sence just let it go we have lost to many people and

  • i don't get the jennifer eccleston thing?

i looked her up and couldnt really find anything, just that shes reported for the three major news networks...

is the picture at 0:59 supposed to show the irony that the headline on the screen was about her and not what was actually happening?

  • Good job on the video. I love this band.

  • Peace IS more profitable than war! But only for the whole world, not for the few who have the keys to our chains!!

  • @jerami101 damn right...<3

  • Nice song

  • anyone still commenting on this page?

  • these third world armies could be enough to take back from america what we have stolen from them. i belive through communications and research, i may have an answer on the resolve to this stale mate. as citizens we have to give back now.

  • one thing not being considered here is the third world. there are many more third world countries that America has taken advantage of using physical and monetary force, than first world allies. as Iraq and afghan wars have shown, our technology is only a slight advantage against will and an ak-103. the 80s and 90s are over, the monetary system is collapsing. we have allowed ourselves to become enemy to many of the third worlds civilians, banded together with the assistance of a larger military.

  • Let me first say, the Flobots rock! As for the political discussion, we must first come to the conclusion that WE HAVE ALL BEEN MISLEAD BY THE MEDIA FOR DECADES!!! So, to say that we know anything is 100% true would be incorrect. Islam is a peaceful religion, that is being corrupted by radicals. Our (U.S.) govt. invades Middle Eastern countries, not for the noble cause of overthrowing dicataors, but to secure the vast natural resources that abound there...

  • If we were so noble, we would have overthrown Mugabe in Zimbabwe a long time ago, and stopped the genocide in Darfur. "A Peoples History of the United States" by Howard Zinn is a great starting point for anyone seeking to begin to understand how we got to where we are today in the world. It is required reading in some high schools and universities and has won many awards - you can read it online if you don't want to go out & get the actual book.

  • Yea... Those are called Islam "RADICALS" every other Islam wants peace not war

  • I love this shit

  • You dont know anything about the islam do you? It does not say KILL EVERY OTHER religion. Some people just say it does and people follow. These ones are needed to be killed.

  • i sort of agree with this but not completely, I agree that there should be no war and yes the war does kill children but those same childern being raised by terroisted wouldnt think twice about killing you! Im not saying kill the babys im saying take them away from there put them in foster homes here in America where the can be raised correctly i mean come one theres a religoin where Quote be monk"God has Spoken it is okey to kill American people God approves" They wont think twice man thats all

  • Amazing choice of name crazy somes you up quite nicely. What gives you the right to say children will b better looked after in America? If it wasnt for america they would be better cared for in the first place its america the wto and imf with their econmic sanctions and trade agreements that have left these ountries poor. And christianity has been responsible for more deaths than islam. Islam is a peaceful religion for most people but the problem with ancient texts is its open to interpretation.

  • amazing job... pictures were great

youtube jewed the audio sync though... bummer

    STILL SICK :D

  • no one up for debate on the subject today? drop some science on me please... i am looking to be told how wrong i am!

  • Sorry it has been a busy day:)

Anyways I read your post and the only way that I can debate your conclusion is to attack the premise that Saddam did have WMD's that we supplied to him. Please send me proof of this so that I may investigate the matter fully and get back to you with any additional findings that I may come across. If the premise is true, or arguable, then I will take a closer look at your argument.

  • its all in regans arming of the muhajadeen (now known as Al quida) look into oliver north i know it is difficult to find the truth in such a web of lies. but there had to be a reason to keep him alive with the amount of evidence of treason. however i have never seen the wmds and do mostly assume this is the truth. but i do agree that the wmds were removed prior to the start of the second iraq war. and the un had to have known about it. which i belive is why they would not stand beside us on it.

  • Thanks, I already knew about Regan's involvement but I will look into this Oliver North guy and go from there, although I am very skeptical that anyone would give Iraq nukes especially the US but I will see what I can dig up.

  • in doing some research dating back to the iran contra affair. i am going to have to say saddam did have nukes. but only because oli and roni gave them to him to keep iran at bay. of course the un would help to cover that up since we do whatever we want with or without the rest of the un. imagine had we found our own wmd's in iraq? still doubt that would have started an uprising stateside but it would have made for good entertainment. wish the media knew how many ratings the truth would get them

  • as the world police. wouldnt that make us the ones terrorizing other countries to bow to our agenda? just a thought? btw. i think we are about to kick off 3 with the russia and georgia conflict may be wrong we cant invade iran until we know russia cant outflank us. use and utilize that means without georgia holding them at the border russia may come to the aid of the iranians. whom we would have to conquer in order to take china once the olympic media has dispersed. does that make since?

  • if we wanted to start the world war before we got our bombs back.. but that would be suicide.

  • I don't think that we will see another world war, none of the world powers want to engage in direct conflict because of nuclear weapons. Think about it we all have enough nukes to blow each other up with the push of one button and we can all detect a nuclear launch heading our way. It is in the best interest of all major powers to avoid direct conflict at all costs because that would mean mutual destruction. Welcome to the age of proxy wars and global politics.

  • all true.. but see the forest and the trees.. two words. population control. how does that make you feel?. every line of this song has something to do with the people of power needing to regain a strong grasp on our numbers. tell me what you think of that? ps we gave saddam the wmds when regan won the election. we "didnt" find them because the media would have recognized those were our bombs. we could have shown that on intl television.

  • usually bullshit sorry.. all..

  • all you self richeous, wanna be politicians, need to go kill yourselves, you really dont understand whats goin on in the world do you? ive read ONE real political incident here, and that was the thing about darfur, but that still has little relevance. i mean its happening, theyll die eventually, and the world will be that less populated .. marvelous. all i hear is "yeah um .. war is bad .. and .. so is oil .. and .. america needs to help .. and .. yeah .. and .. yeah.." your all dumbasses.

  • So what issues are important to you then?

  • were dumbasses?, ok those of us who search for the truth get nothing but bullshit...

and heres a random bush referance....

GEORGE W. BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION!!!!

anybody remember florida? 'cause I do... recount? really?...think about it

  • st0nerrxkx, ive never heard words more true than this. this whole country needs to remember the fact that we wanted this war. it isnt Buschs war its OUR war. and yall need to be able to deal with that, and your right none of these people do know whats going on ih this country, their to busy wrapping their idiotic heads around a world of peace, but let me remind you, you the one who is putting Obamas pictures on a song for peace. He is the one that is going to take us farther into hell. Not Busch

  • This war was marketed to us, the Bush administration used unverified information of WMD's, fear of terrorist attacks, and false links between Iraq and terrorist groups to get public support. I think what st0nerrxkx is upset about is that most Americans have no idea about what is happening in the world or in America. I would be rather surprised if you did not fall into that category given the fact that you spelled Bush's name wrong twice. So I ask again what issues are important to you?

  • word

  • peace is a term that no one fully understands, no one understands the fact that the only reason we still have the right to protest the war... is because of the war

  • This war is not for our rights if we had never gone in we wouldn't have to protest the war but we would still have the right to protest. I see that there are situations where war is necessary however I do not see this as one of those situations. Why is it that you think the war is necessary?

  • Why would you not think that this war was neccesary? tell me that! this war is nessecary. and i can prove it.

  • Well my general argument against the war is that Saddam had no means of being a direct threat to us or to our allies, or at least without nuclear capabilities he was not a threat. So why would we attack a government that was not a threat to us? Well it was argued that Saddam directly supported terrorism which is true but he supported suppressive terrorism against his own people not terrorist groups like Al Qaeda. I can go on but I'll let you respond so I can see your concerns and go from there.

  • ok think back to Adolf Hitler ok? think about what he was doing. the ethnic cleansing he was doing. what would we the people have done if the army didnt go in their? we would have been outraged right? now think to what Sadam Hussein was doing.THE SAME THING.if yall dont believe that Sadam Hussein is ethnic cleansing then yall are ignorant fools.and the fact that yall are ignorant enough to not believe that he has nuclear capabilitys is just downright insane.yall better be on the lookout.

  • Saddam was a Sunni leader in a state with a Shia majority. He was not ethnically cleansing it he was however ruling with an iron fist. If you do choose to believe that he was ethnically cleansing and argue that was our reason to go to war then I must ask why are we not doing anything about Darfur where officially recognized genocide is currently taking place? What makes Darfur different from Iraq? One word oil. Also if you are going to claim that Saddam had nukes you need to provide proof.

  • "yall are ignorant enough to not beleive that [Sadam] has nuclear capabilities"

Wow. I don't know where to start. How about by saying SADAM DID NOT HAVE NUKES!!!! The U.N. Inspectors said he didnt have nuclear capabilities and low and behold none were found when we invaded. Please do something about your own ignorance.

  • Deal with the fact that life is nothing more than a rollercoaster ride and we have to watch everyone die on this ride because of a mistake. I won't live a slave any longer. Bush is one tiny man, together we can become greater than any army and any force on this earth. We can live in an Anarchy but we have to work together. Everyone. Yes this is our War, our fault for electing Bush and Cheney. We are the people, the parents, the voice of the US. Time to discipline the baby. The revolution is now.

  • Great job, VoteSmarter. My hat is off to you. I love this song and your video for this song is the best on youtube. I get an overwhelming feeling of hope and American pride when I see all those shots of protestors standing up. You rock, VoteSmarter.

  • i think we do need to help third world countries but the only problem is we need to fix are problems first in america those third world countries need to hang on as long as possible until our problems are fixed

  • America is always going to have problems. However our problems here are nothing in comparison to the problems they are facing in Darfur. If we sent even a fraction of our military in Iraq over there we could create a green zone for refugees and save countless lives from the genocide. Our involvement would also spark media attention which would result in donations to help the refugees. It wouldn't take a lot to have a big impact there and it would help rebuild our global image.

  • If you vote, write in Ron Paul, other canidates are pointless, they pushed him out of the limelight because he actually stood for something, stood against something.. do your math people.. weve been had.

  • Great video & message.

It's so sad to think we have to wait for things to get that extreme before any real action is taken by the government or its people.

    Thanks for spreading awareness.

When will people stand up and help their fellow man?

And what kind of extremes will the world have to devolve to get any real help?

Keep posting videos - spread peace.

  • Thanks it is good to hear from you again. I hope that your life is filled with prosperity and good times. Keep me posted on what you are doing I expect great things out of you :)

  • This is the best vid Ive see to stand up...

  • love the sligers dieing day after day hate the war caused by the dumb president bush love the troops hate the war. why do we fight for fossil fuels when the solusion is in front of us get rid of the fucking cars! or find a solution now vegtable oil milk or somthin or at least take ur bike to work

  • I PUT ALL OVER MYSPACE

  • Ladyx You have to bring people together to solve anything. What we watch is censored, its good to bring light on the world. Flobots rage against the machine and system of down give their ideas on it and ask us to join them. RATM is part of many groups trying to help, like AIM to name one and SOAD has made a whole fund to the help those in the Armenian Genocide. Getting support is one of the best ways to help if 10 people see this video or hear this song and decide to act isn't that important.

  • Well, I've had enough bashing on Youtube for one day.

I'm going to go help out at my local homeless shelter. No, really that's where I'm going. I've got to be there half a hour earlier today...Later.

  • 2. We the people did not want war

We the people are represented by the congress, who approved the war. I don't know about you but in 2000 all I ever heard was people talking about how they wanted terrrorists to "pay for their crimes". It would be more correct to say, "We the people DO not want war."

Don't get me wrong- I'm against war. But I often feel like I'm the only one actually TRYING to make a difference.

  • We all did want to fight terrorism but I would hardly call the war in Iraq a fight against terrorism. Either way i am glad to see that there are other people out there that are trying to make a difference like yourself, please keep it up you are not alone. As far as the song goes I am sorry that you didn't like my song selection if I make another video I think I will try to avoid using them again just to shake things up.

  • I agree about that. I think the term "war on terrorism" is probably propaganda.

Have you ever heard of Kat Edmonson? She's a singer from Austin who does a lot of activist work.

  • ok if the people wanted the terrorists to "pay for their crimes". how does that come out as "We the people DO not want war?"

  • America does want the terrorists that attacked the US on 9/11 to pay. Yet the mastermind behind the attacks remains at large because our government has used the support for fighting terrorists to do other things. Also who gets to decide who the terrorists are? The way you view these groups is relative to your political standing, one country may say terrorist while another may say resistance movement. When we take these groups out we are infringing on that nations right to self determinism.

  • we get to decide the fact that they are terrorists because if they were a resistance movement the only thing they had to resist was themselves.

  • So you are saying that the sovereign nation of Iraq was a terrorist organization? So in this case the Sunni government was the terrorists and the Shia resistance movement where the good guys. So then are we going to support all Shia resistance movements? I think our friends in Saudi Arabia might not appreciate that very much. We need to identify these groups for what they are, political organizations. Then we need to identify which ones want to and have the means to attack us and take them out.

  • When we start playing politics rather than defense we make new enemies and help arm an unstable region of the world. We need to let these countries and political groups decide the fate of the middle east. It is not our duty or responsibility to get involved in the Sunni Shia conflict we should just be making sure that their conflict does not spill over to us ever again. Bottom line labeling countries as terrorists is a slippery slope that we should avoid at all costs.

  • does the fact that we are the highest governing power on earth not come to your mind?we are the world Police. it is our job to decide what happens over there because whether you like it or not the middle east is part of the world.not only is it our job but it IS our duty and it IS our responsibility.

  • What gives us the right to tell other governments how to run? Do you really think that America should use force to impose the will of whoever happens to be in office. Your view of foreign relations is no different than Stalin's, it is dangerous thinking that leads to horrible things. As a nation we even identified this as a problem and created the UN in which we outlined the concept of Self Determinism in the constitution that says a country should have the right to determine its own destiny.

  • i understand that. but the fact that we went into Germany doesnt upset anyone. so why is Iraq so different?

  • Flobots makes me so mad. They're not doing ANYTHING about the causes they claim to support.

    1.) The leaders want war

If they have time to COMPLAIN about our learders, they have time to become one. If Flowbots wants change, why do they go to law school???

  • I am not really going to argue this because I agree people should not be given a free ride just a fair chance. However global poverty is a completely different problem than domestic poverty and that is what I would like to see fixed. I wouldn't say people are lazy in countries where the majority of the population is living below the UN's global definition of the poverty line, which by the way is well below what the US considers poverty.

  • BUSH EATS PUBES

  • I agree with USASURF1, we should help people abroad, but we cannot fully do that until we fix our country's problems first (poverty and the split between our political parties primarily. Then we can help other countries with a united effort that will be more helpful. However, that does not mean we should ignore the rest of the world while we fix ourselves, but we should pay more attention to our internal struggles.

  • Our internal struggles are important but right now we are completely ignoring the genocide in Darfur. I understand that we need to fix our own problems here but the US is a world power and if we diverted just a few resources from the war in Iraq to the genocide in Darfur we could save thousands and thousands of lives and rebuild our international image at the same time. Creating a few safe zones in the area and bringing the situation into the public eye can make a huge difference in the region.

  • People must die so humanity can go on, if we saved everyone on the earth it would only make it worse, over population and world hunger would run rampant. Yes i understand people are dieing but thats the natural cycle and it should not be interrupted.

  • True we do need to control our own population this is actually something that I struggle with because while I see war as bad I see the need for death as well. I support hunting because of the same reasoning so why should it not apply to people as well? Thanks for bringing this up, any other opinions on this?

  • ok i agree with that. i just dont agree that we should COMPLETELY back out of Iraq.

  • I agree leaving completely all at once would be horrible. I think we should pull out the majority of our troops and leave some there to deal with key people who pose a real threat to us and the stability of the middle east. Then we should take the rest of our troops and attack organizations who harbor intentions to attack us throughout the middle east. We should also focus efforts on building up the economies of the governments that harbor terrorism to make it less appealing for them to do so.

  • exactly. i agree with that. i just dont think we should bomb the place i just think that there is a real reason for the war. that its not a political stunt. and its NOT BUSHS WAR.

but i do agree that it isnt the only thing thats going on rit now. we need to focus on other things too. and having all our military out of the country is just asking for a direct attack.

  • acctually they are already coming, we could pull out now to stop the homefront war against russia and venezuela coming soon. type into google "putin and chavez army". you will see what i speak of.

  • Russia would be making a mistake if they attacked America. If you attack America you are attacking every country that has extensive trade relations with America including the European Union and China. What Russia wants is to appear to be a threat to America once again in order to leverage political power. There will be no war with Russia only hostile talks.

  • Russia doesn't need to fight us directly all they have to do is use tactics last used in the cold war by piting us against Iran, Vietnam,Cuba, North Korea, or any number of nations hostile to us.

  • Blaming Russia for our relations with the countries you listed simplifies the situation too much. I think the fact that we continued to have poor relationsions with those countries regardless of Russias economy or political situation since WWII (with the exception of Iran to some degree) proves that Russia has very little to do with our foreign policy in regards to any of those countries.

  • I agree with this but we need to worry about our country first we have men and women here who need hobs and a home

  • Great vid =)

  • thank you.

  • Great video!

    Thanks..

  • I like this even better than the one from "Flobotfollower777"

    good job.
