Resto Shaman in v3.0.2 PTR

Spirit Link was great cause I remember on the PTR every shaman casting it on me as I ran by to show off.

Restoration trees are always cute when we get new talents (I play a priest) to cast on random people the first time we spec into them. With the 3.0 PTR it was always Spirit Links and Penance bein cast non-stop :)

Well you know, now that I've had ample time to play with Riptide, I find myself likeing it more and more, especially in PvP. I did like the Spirit Link though, but Riptide is much, much better then I initially thought.

Cool video. BTW they just removed Spirit Link in the beta and added a talent called Riptide which is an instant heal and also adds a HoT.

I dont know how it is a shame? spirit link seems so useless, besides I prefer riptide, or w/e its called its bout time we have a heal-over time spell.. and from what you said bout earthliving weapon, that 20% chance heal over time spell.. 160 over 12 seconds? rofl... wow.. what a shame 160 health... people at level 70 have like 10k health.. once again shammys are still UP.. kinda got off the topic off them removing spirit link.. but I just dont know what It would be so useful for?

Well, you have to figure that ina raid situation, your spamming your CH non stop almost, and if your putting that little HOT on 10-15 people every couple of minutes, it'll certainly add up fast. Agreed, it's not exactly a life saver, but it helps. Riptide is a lackluster, IMO. Seems to be a cheap, watered down Regrowth. I liked Spirit Link because it was unique to our class and I could certainly have seen plenty of fights where it would be required to have a shaman split the tanks damage up.

Mmm I understand. But I guess us shamans will have to deal with it. But thanks for explaining that to me. Although .. I wish they would make earthliving weapon a bit more effective. Oh well....
