Is there an actual video of this live performance? I love this song, but I think it was recorded in a studio, then the crowd was dubbed in. Very simple to do actually. I've heard of a couple bands doing this, as it's way easier than just hoping to play a perfect live set.

@baitkenh It was. Heaven's Night is a location from Silent Hill 2. The song has a lot of connections to that game. The song alludes to the Mary's letter to James and the solo at 4:09 is from Silent Hill 2's main theme, Theme of Laura. Yamaoka and M.E. McGlynn do perform live, though.

Actually her name is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, so look her up instead. lol Easy story to her, they were actually doing auditions for the 3rd one and she seemed to have the best voice. And ever since then she stuck. Gaming magazines have the info on this stuff a lot. :)

This song is so pretty, i love it. But for all the disagreeing about it's meaning, supposively it's about either James, and Mary, or Walter's feels about his mother. It's more aimed at James, and Mary though. Still this song is kickass no matter who it's about! =p

@dankoopa nah the movie was based on the 1st and somewhat the second movie. They use music from all of them though, but um i hope this one is better.

There is a part from the original SH1 theme in this, yes. That is not what I was referring to, though. The riff at about 4:11 is from SH2 "theme of Laura" - but it does reappear in many SH songs. Except 2 was the first time we heard it.

Anyway, that doesn't matter, what matters is that this is a great song, and we love it :)

And no, haha, the club isn't their special place. It would be a lot easier if it was.

Ahh yes, stupid of me to forget that since the 2 guitar solos are what make this song one of my favorites from the whole series. Another favorite is Hometown. Theme of Laura is superb too, but there's just something about the original theme from the first Silent Hill game that makes that my all time favorite. Hell, they're ALL good! :D

I can't really pick a favorite, but I do like the Theme of Laura (reprise) at the end of the SH2 soundtrack a lot. I also really like a lot of the ambient sounds on the CSTs - like the lizard boss in SH3 song for example. Excellent music! And the version of "Kill God" from the game. So yes, very hard to pick a favorite ;)

Yeah, Heaven's Night is the name of the club that appears in Silent Hill 2. The music that starts to play at the end is the original Silent Hill theme from the first game and NOT "theme of laura" which is the Silent Hill 2 theme.

The actual song on the Silent Hill 4 soundtrack cuts off at the end like this too, but not so abruptly. It's mysterious

It's as if the track is meant to be a live recording from when the club was up and running and the town of Silent Hill was normal.

It's not "theme of laura" it just the original SH theme from the first game. "theme of laura" is the theme of Silent Hill 2.
