Rb30 s14 Holset hy35

Ey man, one nice ride dang :P i have a friend that im trying to convice to get a RB 26 motor+gearbox.. is it hard to put them in a 14? :P his car is all stock, but now that i have tuned my S4 he wants to beat me again.. :P im maby gettin a hy 35 to my s4 :D easily 400hp then ^^

dude why are u happy with ur rb30 boosting at 5000rpm, thts rubbish last rb30 i built it was on 14psi by 3500rpm

That looks like a he351cw or 41 not a hy35 although almost simaliar in size. Nice rb to I have a 25 neo. I'm getting a holset for it soon great turbos. And pull that damn silencer off if you want that thing to whistle.

pull the silencer ring off the inlet of the turbo, it will whistle even louder...

R.I.P.S Stock built rb30's have a 8000 rpm redline. These builds are stock internals, standard spec ACL bearings etc. Nothing special. They havnt had 1 failure.

The dash is a 240sx so I think that's the ka redline?? Idk?

I also have been thinking my l28et spooled this Holset up faster than the 3.0 rb. I FOUND A REASON (mist likely?)

I spot welded the internal waste gate, yesterday the car wouldn't hardly at all. Felt like intercooler pipe came undone? The wastegate was flopping open under revving so the weld had come loose. I need to take the down pipe off and reach in there and weld it up again, much better.

I hope/think it was leaking on the test drive?

@turbo280z did sound like u had a exhaust leak either soo it could be the wastegate.. sounds like a good start to me phil lol, id think it would spool the hy35 buy 3200rpm at least..

redline 7.000? the rb26 gtr is almost 9.000 why this is 7.000?

@cobratoxic I think the RB25 is rated at 7500 redline? And the 3.0 bottom end wouldnt like going upwards of 7000 without a bit of balancing.

reason why you are having to rebuild it so often is because you need to get it balanced.

If you are not going to swap to a different header I would put a bump in the hood like the Eclipse had

why is a 3L spooling the hy35 a 4k rpms? manifold possibly?? didnt that turbo spool sooner on the l28et? just curious tryna to get a simular turbo on my 2j and i dont want it to spool a 4k..

Change the manifold I'm having the same problem I had to cut and re weld the t3 flange it help but to be honest is not the best headers for this car and this engine...but again your the man Phil....

if you take the silencer ring out of the compressor and its "whistle" is louder lol
