I lived in Athens from 1969-1981. We used to go the Simms and sit on the tombstones and smoke pot all the time. I don't see the tombstones in the video pics. Are they still there I wonder?
Last time I was in Athens to visit my folks I tried to take my husband there, but there were a lot of new houses there and everything looked so different I had no idea where the trail was. There was no fence, or stop sign, or anything back in the day. YOu just had to know where it was.

It hides from people.....Oh and if you eventually meet the real cool locals (and Athens is a smal place), tell Korbee and Petty Jefe' says hi. Drink one at Tony's and Casa Nueva for me...If they still exist
@bajiman55 i am acctually related to the guy who owned this cemetary : judge/hangman simms i am his great great great great granddaughter. I have never been there but will eventally go it is scary being related to him though.
@lovesmydogcody12 Wow! Thats pretty cool. I'd bet if anybody could get the owner to actually let them go down there it would be someone like you. It'd be worth a try. I went there after trying once to ask the people at the house if they would take me & my friends down there. It didn't seem to ruin my chances of going there clandestinely eventually after they said no. If you go there, I'd love to know how that went. Also, strange things tend to happen in the weeks before/after people go there
@bajiman55 iv been there and my uncle lives maybe a mile or 2 from here on peach ridge iv heard about weird things happening when i went i didn't witness anything but it don't mean it didn't happen plus my uncle lives maybe 1000 yards form an older cemetery the head stones are very large sand rock its so old i don't think it has a name its cool
@frosty696 what type of weird things, strictly things people attributed to ghosts, or did people who tried to go there encounter lights in the sky or other strange (but seemingly unrelated) things which they may have just considered to be an unrelated UFO sighting? I have seen myself and others have also seen things of this nature on the day (night actually) of trying to go there (or even getting close by) and weeks before and after going there. Does any of this sound familiar?
After the occult worship came the house in the road, & after the continued worship & animal sacrifices, the owner cut down the tree. Don't go to the owner cause he won't take you in. He says there is an open well there and it is dangerous. That may be true but I will tell you that Simms cemetery is the most haunted place in the world & as someone writing you from Safed Israel, I know a thing or 2 about hidden high energy places. Simms is the biggest energy place in the USA. Be safe. No Joke.
After the blood drop, I felt very scared from something there and ran straight through the thick thorns towards the house....not a good path but I was scared to death and screaming for my friends who didn't follow me. This is Judge Simms' old hanging cemetery...and I don't necessarily mean lawfully convicted people. Some of the headstones are just ordinary rocks The hanging tree used to be there (w/rope marks) but somebody hung large animals from it in occult rituals in the 1990's...cont
If it is like I found it, it will be a place with eroded soil (kind of like the dirt in an anthill), surrounded by a perimeter of dead pricker bushes which have been placed there. I will tell you that this place is no joke. As I entered it a pricker sunk deep into my ring finger (I'm looking at the15 yr old scar now). Everything started to be slow motion as I watched the drop of blood from my finger drop down and kick up the eroded dirt.....continued
After you pass behind the house, the path turns right. Just as you start to go down the path to the right, there are some deer trails going into the woods on your right going into the area which is straight back from the house. This is the best path in that I know of. Gus pointed his nose down the deer trails and I listened to him....that's how I found it. Go down the deer trails until you come to a place where you push through some brush and find it..........continued...
Go up the path until it bears right. This is the boy scout camp. Instead of bearing to the right, keep going straight pretty much over up the hill to the ridge top you will find a path that runs parallel to Simms Rd behind the house. If the owners still have the dalmation dog, dont worry, he's nice and I've never heard him bark. I think his name's Gus. Go past the house because there is no way to go down the original path and quite frankly no sign of the path even exists anymore......contd
I am one of the only people to find this place because the owners don't want anybody back there. But here's how to get there. Go to the boy scout camp. Coming from Athens it will be on your left on Simms Rd. The house just before the boy scout camp is the one the owners of the property live in. The owner used to (and maybe still does) teach a class at OU called Haunted Athens. The house is built on what used to be the road into the cemetery. comment continued........
no you were where yyou needed to be go around the sign and walk through the woods this the way u have to go the people that own the house will make u leave if they catch u if they would be such jerks theres a shorter way but u cant take it go where u where its a long walk up and down a big hill or 2 when you see the house be qiuet when your behind it turn to your left walk about 4 or 5 minutes and there it is its small 3 graves hope this helps
Sorry, you're close, but you actually just discovered the old boy scout camp. Simms is just up the road. The old path is blocked by one of the houses built there about 20 years ago.
