I got FFIII for xmas and was on this part last night. That lady with all the arms? What ghost is she? Anyways, I tried hiding from her behind the bookshelf and she found my ass, LOL!!!! I had to run THROUGH her to escape and I lost some health doing it. That ghost is too damn smart!!!!! And there's no way to take her out - even with 90 film and the special lenses. This game is creepier than the first two, especially with all the creepy crap that happens in the apartment.

Kei can hide because, well, his camera skills really suck. Most of the ghosts you encounter with Kei are way too hard for him to beat. He can also jump and push bookshelves—which the females in the game can't. In the end its probably just to make playing with Kei more bearable.

I depends what character you are using, and who you are fighting, but I like to focus on upgrading max spirit charge and max range. Both are pretty much the basis for making most fights easier, and inflicting more damage. I can't say the same for later bosses that like to pull fast tricks on you though...
