  • ray invented soul with the original and fused it with country, and johnny and june paid the tribute of a lifetime in return. i think making "i got a woman a duet" was daring, a move only a talent the level of Johnny and June could pull off. solid gold.

  • anyone else think this is kanye west's inspiration for gold digger?

  • @cxw1120 YES

  • i love this by jonny cash & elvvis presley

  • ahh i love this song it is magnificence but then again it is Johnny and June soo that says it all they are the worlds greatest :)

  • Ray still did it better

  • @guitarbaby008 Sorry not saying anyone is right or wrong but Ray Charles was always a second rate fake. Johnny and June were always real.Again no aguement your perfer Ray Charles version but it's not better

  • @TheHughLundy It's too bad you feel that way about one of the best artist of anyones generation, but I can't see how you could feel so negatively about him. For a second rate fake he has inspired many musician (including myself) and has crossed over into multiple genres seamlessly.

  • @guitarbaby008 Thanks for your reply.Your point about crossing so many genres is part of my problem , true he's crossed them but not really proved himself in any one.Sorry he is boring middle of the road to me(not to you fair enough) whereas Johnny Cash is a true genius.

  • Thank You Very Much for posting this video. I will always love and respect Johnny and June. I met them at Johnny Hortons funeral in 1960. I appeared on his T.V. show in 1970. ........Claude King at 87....but, new on the net/..

    Johnny & June!!!

  • I just love this song. Johnny and June are the greatest.

  • what's your problem? all i did was point something out. take a chill pill

  • hey, i thought you should know that the woman in the picture is not june carter. it's actually loretta lynn type in "Loretta Lynn inducted into the Hall of Fame {1988}" and you'll see

  • never heard johnny sing that high

  • is this not originally ray charles???

  • yes it is. :)

  • Go Carl Perkins. Great solo. Awesome cover by the man in black.

  • Luther Perkins was Johnny's guitar player, not Carl.

  • Yes but you can tell that wasnt luther by the way that was played and Carl was also apart of johnnys band.

  • Great record, I like it very much - and what a nice picture, reminds me so much of the final "Walk The Line" scene ;-)

  • is the end of the movie not "Long Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" ?

    JC ever

  • Yes it is, but I mean the picture, not the song ;-) The Picture reminds me of the "Jackson" scene at the end of the movie!

  • So great! Thanks for posting!

  • I love this song. So awesome, thanks for posting!
