Both negative and positive sides were really beneficial to our current situation right now. Without the Americans colonizing the Philippines, we would not learn about the universal language and some schools and establishment would have not been created.

After watching this video I will never look at the Americans the way I do before.
Torturing the Filipino prisoners and killing thousands of civilians, they must not be seen as heroes but as evil and selfish. The Americans teach the Filipinos to support themselves but that again could be a tactic so that the Filipinos could be of much greater help for them.
