@minipo48 - Hiya :) Yeah I know it looks grim for most, 1600 people put in for voluntary retirement/severence pay, and will leave at the end of december, I am in a fortunate position of being an Apprentice, meaning I am saved from this as I am on a fixed contract with the Council, as for the department I work in.. well it's gonna be alot more work now 2 out of 6 are leaving.. (and maybe more if they get sacked) for no extra pay, or extra help ;(

@kingfiirenze Glad to hear you are safe,for now.I hope it all works out well for you.Im ss re all the ppl who are leaving or have lost their jobs. i was a council home carer for 10 yrs, left 10 yrs ago as it was going down the pan then.Glad im retired now.

@minipo48 - As sad as this sounds, I wish I was bloody retired cause I hate it here, sooo boring + constant moaning about their personal lives like I care :P... same thing day in day out.. for crappy pay and no job prospects :P
