  • i love the way chris sometimes sings like a soul singer...

  • "@goldensilky--if you think the Crowes have not reached this destination you call "greatness" on the road they traveled, maybe you're on the wrong road.

  • wow!!! Love his voice!!!

  • my favouritest song in the whole world.

  • im a black hood boi and ive been addicted to the crowes since 95. My dudes think i wanna be white. i dont. i just know a kick ass band when i hear one. i went to cleveland ohio by myself just to see these guys do tha damn thang! I thought i was gonna get lynched, but we all just rocked out with the twatncocks out! 'Well i hate myself...doesnt everybody hate themselves?....'

  • What a f*ckin tune!! What a f*ckin' band!! OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHMMAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • really great video quality, and sound. iv'e seen this band 16 times. i'm part of the crow flock. no better band that still tours is better, thank god 4 REAL rock-n-roll, thank god 4 the brothers robinson, i hope they tour another 20 yrs.

  • I can't think of a better singer in the last two decades, phenomenal.

  • @gards2 Not saying they are better, but I think they're tied to Chris: Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Thom Yorke, Chris Martin, Shannon Hoon and others. However. they are all GREAT!

  • whaaat a band, what a voice...best band around...un zip my pridee!

  • i miss Reverb. This was the same show with Spacehog. Nice memories. Chris took it to CHURCH! on that stage!

  • if your parents say that it''s a good thing to go to church..........then this is what IT BETTER FUCKING SOUND LIKE! this is what lifes all about.

  • Goldensilky, I have to say that the Crowes bring me to some of my favours bands that being Led Zeppelin, the Beatles in the later years and the Allman Brothers but are so incredibly unique that they are just an essence of those great acts. I'm just so happy they are on tour again and hopefully with some new music! Love it all!

  • Ahh.. you know it's from "Reverb" when you see the needless black and white shots. Memories.

  • Roll me in your splendor!

  • The trouble when you love a band as much as I love the Crowes is that there's a lot of songs that you love and that you don't get to hear when you go see them play live. Cursed Diamond is one of them. Another one from the same album is She Gave Good Sunflower. And Hotel Illness, Girl From a Pawnshop, Horsehead, Young Man Old Man, the list is long...

    Gracias por este videazo, man

  • i heard that song on the way home from the funeral of a good friend...

the crowes have so much soul !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love this band!!!

    excuse my bad english^^

  • They always put on a kick ass show like the one they did for the Oklahoma Bombing. That one concert I WILL NEVER FORGET!!!!!

  • And I'm there again. Dammit.

  • This song f***in rocks!

  • This is the most epic song ever. The lyrics are so raw. You only get it if you've been there.

  • black crowes are soliiiid

  • increibles!!!!!

  • Are they playing a lot of the newest CD?

  • merveilleux

  • anyone else think Steve Gorman is one of the most kickass drummers out there.

  • FUCK YES!!!!!!!

  • @Telecatplayer I don't think--I know--one of the hardest hitters around

  • @Telecatplayer the an is good...been lucky to see him10 times with the Crowes

  • This is one of the best songs ever by the Black Crowes. I havent heard this song in many years but I remember it giving me goose bumps every time I hear it.He sings it with so much conviction.I am seeing them at the Borgata in Atlantic City this Saturday Aug 29th. I can't wait !

  • wow!.... sounds like they are about to have church up ther

  • Doesnt really get much better than this. Can anyone tell me where this is from and is it available on dvd?

  • got this info from crowesbase

    The Black Crowes

15 May 2001 - Greek Theater - Los Angeles, CA

DVD of HBO's "Reverb" program. Tracklist: Midnight From The Inside Out, Soul Singing, Lickin', Wiser Time, Stare It Cold, Cursed Diamond.

  • Amen, didnt like the other wimpy versions of the song becuz it was just too intense for that! Damn I miss them! The new stuff just doesnt have the raw power of the older stuff, does it? Stay Taller!

  • This footage is phenomenal!! Probably my favorite Black Crowes tune...so much raw emotion! Chris' voice is stellar...love the slide! Thank you sooooo much for posting this!

  • I Remember the first time i heard this song. Was 1995 or sometime near 95 at the Fox Theater in St. Louis. This Video looks too much like the same concert but I know its not cause he got on different clothes. It really brings back memories of being 15 and going to concerts all the time. I love the Crowes Been my favorite band since i was 13.

  • One of the last cool things I got to do with my dad before he died suddenly is take him to see the Crowes on the Southern Harmony tour, the free shows in Houston. We walked around for 2 hours out for our minds trying to find the car afterwards. I don't think we ever laughed together so much. Looking back it was probably one of the best nights of my life.

  • Great sound quality. Crowes shred!

  • Is this available on a dvd anywhere?

  • This song is so much like the last years of Led Zeppelin... The Black Crowes are the greatest rock and roll band since them!!!

  • @goldensilky Agreed!

  • @goldensilky The Black Crowes were on the road to greatness! Unfortunatley, drugs and pride ruined them.

  • Fucking excellent,a real rock n roll band

  • best performance of this song- Chris is rockin!!

  • Oh my god this is the best performance of Chris, i love ot..

    Blues is Blood..

    Hell oh yeah..

  • ......to me this is such a "Marc" song.

As good as this performance is.. Prop's to Steve (you can hear what killer drummer he is!!) Marc "bled this song to it's core." Just sayin is all....

  • Oh, and I also saw them last year at H.O.B.

    Played a great show!

  • Can you prove it?

  • I had a bad experience with the crowes at the casino.I was center looking at chriss the whole time. Not as friendly as i thought he'd be.. glamour hips from what i made out as. I can't believe how his crew treats the fans!! like dirt! no respect. All i said was Hi and he told me some abscene words. Was it his time of the month, who knows? So disappionted won't go to another show again after 15 yrs of loving this band.....i'm hurt... Too bad...

  • Which Casino, I saw them at the Hampton Casino in New Hamshire. It was a great show. FUnny how that happened to you, Chris seemes so mellow.

  • alleghany casino

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i've been to many a crowe show. incense burns from this spherical object positioned at both sides of the stage for the entire show. smells really good!

  • i tell myself that its only in my mind!

  • Just one question...

what's burning in front of the stage..?

    Bless them!

  • this is a CLASSIC, it's so beautiful. Thanx for uploading, it's a balm for the heart!

  • songs do not get much better than this. this is a gift. a moment when everything comes together, musically, spritually, lyrically. this is pure, unadulterated, heart felt emotion. for me, what music is lacking these days. these guys hae stayed true to themselves and this is the reward.

  • This is an AMAZING performance and Chris rocked it!

  • It seems as if I have listened to this song, disecting it and letting it soak in, millions of times.

    "I let the poison go..."

I didn't understad what he was telling us until I watched this.

The visual I created was allowing the poison in, an exhausted surrender.

When I watched his hand spiral up over his head and out into the universe, where the poison would really "go" became as clear as ... a diamond***

  • What a beautiful comment Ruby, like a little poem. You must be a special person.

The Crowes are on Fire here, Chris sounds so way into it, it just SOARS, really takes off. They really let the music in to themselves.

  • great performance,

and about chris' haircut - I apologize to you all...

  • This song is more amazing than can be expressed with words.

  • この曲が一番すき!

  • My salvation and my love lies right here, bring on March 29 2008.

  • Amorica is my favorite Crowe's record.

die youtube, die google, die myspace, die wikipedia, die internet.

long live art, humanity, vinyl, and the crowes.

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! All time favorite Crowes song! Hope to hear it tonight at Taft in Cinci or tomorrow at the Palace in Louisville:)

  • HI, Jackie !I live in Bucarest-Romania-this year we had Rolling Stones live on July 17th, I'll go to Ian Gillan-Deep Purple on 31 this month, but so far no chance of seeing Black Crowes-and I'm so old...I envy you!

  • This is an absolutely amazing song and the marriage of major and minor chords in the song are inspirational, then Chris's melody line on top of it??? AMAZING!! Makes me wish I could write a song so COOL!

  • goosebump time, few musicians have that power, thats spiritual devoid of trend, celebrity, money, and all the bullshit of the modern world. Brings back so memories of a loved one that song.Peace

  • wow

  • they opened with this in Toronto last year at Massey Hall...i had goosebumps....one of the greatest bands ever

  • f*cking amazing.

    thats all.

  • I'm an old Led Zep fan, but "Cursed Diamond" became #2 in my list after " Since I've Been Loving You".

  • i saw them in gulf shores, alabama 2 weeks ago.they played three hours without a pause they were out of sight.

  • Years from now when all of us are looking for someone to take the place of Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers etc, we have already found it.

Do your life a favor go see them live. Its a journey. They take you away.

    Lowell Orlando FL

  • Bottom line - The Black Crowes to me rank right up there all time with the likes of Zeppelin, Stones, Aerosmith, Hendrix etc. This is such an awesome song. I too love the version on "Tall". I'm also an Audley fan. As far as Chris with pigtails though, , ,

  • I've listened to "Tall" all this summer and I think all the songs on there are THE definitive versions including this one - what a monster. When the hell are they coming to Detroit ?

  • The epitome of Rock..

  • ask yourself, does it get any better?

  • God I fuckin love this song. I've waited years to see it and they finally played it Sunday night in ATL! What a great great show that was....The Crowes are the greatest band out there, the most soulful, heartfelt music you can possibly witness in person!

  • best song ever

  • this was from the hbo weelky show 'reverb' when hbo was cool.....TBC best ever!

  • well the states have the black crowes and very good tthey are and weve got led zep !

  • this is about the time Chris started to come into his own as the hippie groove shaman he is today. Gave up all the "looks" he had going previously. Got off the blow that was tweaking his vocals, really started to concentrate on his singing and has never looked back. God Bless the Crowes! Pozo Saloon in Paso Robles in Oct. Holy Shit!!

  • This is from BROTHERLY love . . . Marc Ford isn't there and the Stage set up is the same!

  • easily 1 of their bEST songs & a FUCKIN GREAT performance @ that !!! ROCK ON !!!

  • is that rob clores on bass? he's a keyboard player i'm sure of it. doesn't look much like johnny colt or sven pipien either? x

  • this is the best version that ive heard of this song played on stage!

  • wow, Chris' voice is top-notch form on this one! damn!!! when they are on, they are the best! Gorman on the drums on this song is AMAZING too!

  • This song is an emotional earthquake. Unflinching. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks REDDCROWE, The Black Crowes are in my top ten for ever, with, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Faces, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Humble Pie, The Allman Brothers Band, And all the greatest blues musicians.

  • was that at the greek? during the lions tour? anyway, no matter how many times if seen TBC play cursed diamond,it's NEVER the sounds the same. as for you POLAQUEN, i'm with you. i've been sharing the ride since the early 90's.

  • This is just an incredibly awesome version of this song. So damn powerful.
