I'm a member of a bird club in the USa and I got it Christime as a gift from another member. She said she bought it at Petsmart and it did come with bird food (nuggets), BUT, I'm sure if you "google" foraging toys for birds/parrots, you will get alot of web sites to come up online.
@ninster1981 sorry it took me sooooo long to reply. I am a member of a bird club here in the states and i got it as a Christmas gift at a parrot themed Christmas party, but you can search for "foraging parrot toys" on line and see lots of items, plus ck. any local bird stores in your area if they have them.
wow, you ocntinue to impress me with your crazy bird antics and tom foolery! Only a one of a kind person such as you could take such great care of your amazing birds. Also, im slowly but surely teaching my budgie "Henry" how to step up. SO far I can do it with a piece of spray millet, but do you have any ideas on how I could teach him how to step up? Also, wats your most amazing experience with Maxi that youll never forget? Cuz hes my fav little Parrot. Yea he is! Goochie Goochie GOO!
Thanx for the ?. READ read Read I esp. like "Parrot Training "by Bonnie Munro Doane, written in 2001. It's WONDERFUL! Chap 5 is called The 3 Basic Obediance Skills" & it is a MUST READ. She goies into so much more detail, but it is scripted light and easy to follow. I luv that book! She goes into time required(10-15 min uninterrupted 2x daily) equip & technique. The book is prob under $20 & well worth it!!
Maxi is my sweet sensitive birdie & everytime she calls me to her by my name I'm amazed!!
Maxi is spoiled and she has the most ytoys. She used to and still occasionall will pluck her own neck feathers. I find that she really enjoys playing with toys that have thick soft cloth rope and I try to provide her with lots of toys, because I can't always be around her.

Are ringnecks pretty quiet as far as parrots go?
captmicha 3 years ago
Hi Captmicha
I don't know about other ringnecks but Angel is L-O-U-D!
She doesn't talk either. It's usually a loud bird screeching noise, esp early in the morning. She's sweet, BUT she's LOUD, too!
