@jeshpeter146 I know that areas of Kenner flooded. Harahan is just below the Kenner area but I don't think it flooded since Harahan is on a ridge (River Ridge is in Harahan). So Harahan probably had more wind damage than anything. The area in this video did flood, but only a few feet deep and only for several days.
It sure was. My wife, me, and 3 kids moved around, staying in 5 different places over a 4 week period. To this day when scan the radio and hear 870 or one of those voices I get flash backs to those days.
wahnou, Thanks for the comment and concern. The area I live in is doing much better, but the area where I work is still a mess. We have much hope for the future. God bless!
This was September 5th, which was 7 days after Katrina. The parish allowed us in just for the day to secure our property, then we had to leave again. We weren't able to move back home till a month later.
