Dr Elizabeth Weir is awesome and Torri is the only one out there who can play the role. Torri is wonderful in every way. Such a great actress and beautiful, wonderful woman.

They have treated Terri extremely badly. For me the real SGA is till the end of season 3.
I hope too, that Dr. Weir is coming back in one of the movies. They made a big mistake to write her out of the story. STGA wasn´t the same after she was gone.

And they lost a mains in season 8 - 9. RichardDeanAnderson became regular(8)/recurring(9,10), and Hammond went away.
why did torri higinson go btw, did she wanna leave by herself or was it only the writers?
Stupid, stupid move! What were they thinking? Hang on! They weren't thinking otherwise they wouldn't have treated Torri badly which led her to say no to future projects with them, which in turn led to the demise of a great fun Sci-fi series. I hope they'll bring a great big offering for Torri to come back and star in the upcoming SGA movie.
It really pisses people off....myself included, the fans who watch the show and are the one's providing them with their ratings to keep the show going!!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem and is often frustrated by the writers/creators of the shows deliberate attempts at screwing around with a shows character line up. They never consult fans first about if we even would like new characters I'm in a serious venting mode right now just very aggravating...*sighs* I'm done now..lol..
I really hope that the problems are resolved between torri and the makers of SGA, because she was amazing she was my favourite character of the show I'm not much of a fan of Teyla to be honest. They kicked her off for reasons like there was nothing that her character had to offer but seriously they're writers they can write in things about her character that work with the show I also miss Beckett now he is returning character in season 5. I hate it when a show messes around with their characters
its a show written by men...if they wanted to they could of elaborated on the carter wier relationship...it really isn't that hard!! men just don't get ships...i pisses me off, sci-fi has the best opportunities for great relationships, but its always written by men and they ruin it. they don't get it. if dr.weir and carter would of gotten it on the ratings of the show would of gone up substantially
i agree they should have kept weir and carter they were so much better than woolsey all he does is sticks to protocal if weir and carter had stuck to protocal atlantis would have been destroyed probably in the firse season

It still pisses me off the way TPTB chose to treat Torri. Of course killing Weir also killed Stargate Atlantis because she was the heart of the show.

Yeah, but that was Season 6 and he came back...and the others were way later in the show's running.
The writers got rid of her. She didn't want to go. So when they asked her back for Season 5 she said no because of the way they treated her.

I read that Stargate Atlantis has been cancelled. The 5th season is the last one. Which only proves how utterly stupid the makers of SGA are.
