  • @steveninthematrix This is why everybody should just use Converse to lift. Hard flat soles, good grip on smooth floors and they're about $80 cheaper than lifting shoes.

  • @steveninthematrix Oh well smooth floor is a completely different issue. My gym has a smooth surface for the machines, but not for free weights & cables, so I forgot that there's a smooth surface in many gyms ^^

  • @steveninthematrix Don't deadlift with socks wtf?! You deadlift in Nike's? The best footwear you can have for deadlifts and squats are socks! Stronglifts has a great article on why you should be barefoot, wear socks, or shoes that are as close to being barefoot as possible.

    On straps however, you're completely correct. Straps are not to be used.
