Dick Bavetta just so happened to have ref'd Game 6 of the WCF. You know, the game where the Kings got royally fucked outta winning the series and going to the Finals, where they would have probably swept the Nets. Ok, the Pistons are my hometown team (and favorite obviously) but I'm also a Heat fan even though the two have had somewhat of a rivalry when they were both great teams. Nevertheless, I do remember this game & the officiating (specifically the 5 sec call). We won, but afterwards we all had a nasty taste in our mouths. Something was definitely wrong but don't put that on Miami. That Heat team was GREAT, I don't care what anyone says. The point is the NBA DOES want certain teams to win, no doubt.

The refs are told the spreads and the over/unders before the game. They are rewarded furthermore when the outcome of the game is +4/-4 of whatever the lines are.
These are the refs who get extra money working the playoff games and continue to ref.

The problem is that it ruins the cedibility of the game. the vid wasn't meant to simplyshow that they cheated in this game, but instead to show that they do cheat period. This was just a good 2 minute stretch worth of evidence to proove it. I've seen much worse to the Pistons in 05 against Miami and San Antonio, in 06 against Miami again, and tons of teams have been victims of unfair officiating during crunch time where a few bs calls can make a huge difference in the final point spread

The Heat are at 69 points which this Piston team was holding teams under until Stern started calling all these free throws for Dwayne Wade garbage ass...The Heat got 54 free throws IN ONE GAME vs the Pistons in 2006 and some idiots still thinking the NBA isn't fixed: get your head out the toilet. Who get 54 free throws in one game for one team? Only in Sterns world...Stern gave the Heat 92% of the points that the Pistons were allowing (70). How sad!

Ok, the Pistons are my hometown team (and favorite obviously) but I'm also a Heat fan even though the two have had somewhat of a rivalry when they were both great teams. Nevertheless, I do remember this game & the officiating (specifically the 5 sec call). We won, but afterwards we all had a nasty taste in our mouths. Something was definitely wrong but don't put that on Miami. That Heat team was GREAT, I don't care what anyone says. The point is the NBA DOES want certain teams to win, no doubt.

Tim Donaghy (convicted felon), Dick Bavetta, Joey Crawford, Steve Javie, Hue Hollins, Greg Willard, Rodney Garretson.....I mean the list goes on and on. I don't know what the NBA, Stern and his referee buddies are doing behind the closed doors, but it can't be good. I wish the Pistons added another ring in 2005-2008. They were a slightly different team after winning in 2004, but their defense was second to none. Very similar to the Spurs, but specifically 2006 and 2007, they were top stuff.

I don't know if you all remember it, but dirk was getting hacked all series long and wouldn't get calls, while any touch to wade got him to the free throw line. It's an embarrasment to basketball. Lebron gets phantom fouls nearly 60% of the time and he still has no ring. Now Wade did get some iffy calls, however the foul in game was very legitimate.
I don't hate the Mavs, I actually like them. I wanted them to go all the way this year, however we all know thats not what happened.

I do know the FBI is heavily involved in monitoring gambling in sports. So the NBA and FBI would have to be in on it together. next time you watch an NBA game, notice at the end of the game, refs trying to even the foul totals when the game is already out of reach, to make it seem like the game wasn't actually rigged. nba is by far most rigged pro-sport

Those Pistons teams that won had homegrown stars in the bad boy case and the 04 Pistons were the definition of team and outside Rasheed Wallace there wasn't a superstar or a guy you can make arguments about his star status. The refs are told the spreads and the over/unders before the game. They are rewarded furthermore when the outcome of the game is +4/-4 of whatever the lines are.
These are the refs who get extra money working the playoff games and continue to ref.
Watching an NBA game at "money time" is a complete joke, as the refs try to corrall the outcome (points/over under) close to the vegas line.

The problem is that it ruins the cedibility of the game. the vid wasn't meant to simplyshow that they cheated in this game, but instead to show that they do cheat period. This was just a good 2 minute stretch worth of evidence to proove it. I've seen much worse to the Pistons in 05 against Miami and San Antonio, in 06 against Miami again, and tons of teams have been victims of unfair officiating during crunch time where a few bs calls can make a huge difference in the final point spread
